DEMI LOVATO TO HOST PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS – (10/28/2020)

Demi Lovato will host the 2020 E! People’s Choice Awards.

The “I Love Me” singer/songwriter has dominated the music industry and racked up People’s Choice Awards over the past decade, receiving five wins and 12 nominations across top categories such as “Favorite Female Artist” and “Favorite Music Fan Following.” 

Jen Neal, General Manager, E! News, Live Events & Lifestyle Digital said in a statement, “Demi Lovato is an international icon and we cannot wait for her to host the 2020 E! People’s Choice Awards. Her authentic presence and dynamic talents will make for an unforgettable night.”  

The 2020 E! People’s Choice Awards will broadcast live from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA on Sunday, November 15th from 9:00-11:00p.m. ET/PT.

BTS TOPS BILLBOARD ARTISTS 100 FOR 12 WEEKSBTS logs its 12th total week at No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated Oct. 31). According to Billboard, this achievement extends its record for the most weeks spent at No. 1 on the chart among duos/groups. The band also ties Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran for the sixth-most weeks spent at the top.

SELENA GOMEZ VOTED FOR THE FIRST TIME – (10/28/2020)

Selena Gomez just voted for the first time.

The 28-year-old posted a photo to Instagram Thursday (October 22nd) that showed her “I VOTED” sticker, but she didn’t reveal until Tuesday (October 27th) that it was her first time casting a ballot.

Gomez told the Voting Power Hour YouTube stream with Loud Luxury, “Honestly, I’m not ashamed to say this, but I kind of, I kind of—this was my first time.”

Although she was eager to make her vote count, she also made sure to do it safely. The singer – who had a kidney transplant in 2017, following a her lupus diagnosis – said that she mailed in her ballot although she “would prefer to do it in person”.

SHAWN MENDES MAKES FIRST STOP ON ‘WONDER RESIDENCY’ TOUR – (10/28/2020)

Shawn Mendes made his first stop on the Wonder Residency tour last night (October 27th). 

The singer’s live performance at The Palace Theater, aired on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. According to Mendes’s Instagram, the medley of “Intro” and “Wonder” was the first in a series of show sthat will take place at different theaters and clubs to help out venues shuttered by the coronavirus.

He is also selling a limited edition Wonder Residency poster with all proceeds benefitting the National Independent Venue Association.  

REESE WITHERSPOON AUDITIONED FOR THE PART OF CHER IN ‘CLUELESS’: In a recent podcast interview, Reese Witherspoon shared that she auditioned for the role of Cher in ‘Clueless’, but ended up losing the role to Alicia Silverstone. She said she wanted to role very badly.

CHADWICK BOSEMAN’S BROTHER IN REMISSION AFTER CANCER: After four rounds of chemotherapy and two years of struggle, actor Chadwick Boseman’s brother, Kevin, is in remission after his cancer diagnosis. His brother, Chadwick, recently passed away of colon cancer.

TIM CURRY, WILMER VALDERRAMA, AND MORE TO HOST VIRTUAL ROCKY HORROR SCREENING ON HALLOWEEN – (10/28/2020)

Get ready to scream at your screen this Halloween – the incomparable Tim Curry, who played Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show, is hosting a screening on the film, just in time for Halloween. The screening has meaning, though: it will benefit the Wisconsin Democratic party—a battleground state in the upcoming election. He will also be joined by an all-star cast, including Wilmer Valderrama, Lance Bass, Rosario Dawson, and David Arquette. This is one of the first appearances for Curry since he suffered a stroke in 2013. Curry says he has been doing well, relying on his sense of humor to help him through the difficult times.
