Did you go awaStacay2y at all this summer? Even if you didn’t, you’d be trendy for posting photos of your “travels” to social media. The trend is called “fakecationing” and is really simple to pull off. All you need is a large desktop display of a resort location, then you place two fingers in front of the photo to make it look like they are the tops of your legs and snap a close-up photo. Many people who post these photos are tagging them with the hashtag “#facay.” (Elite Daily)

Americans Still Love Beer

(Gallup) Despite the rise of gourmet craft cocktails and the growing number of wineries in the country, beer is still king in the U.S., with 41 percent of drinkers saying they typically drink beer, compared with 31 percent who generally prefer wine and 23 percent who usually drink liquor. Except for when wine briefly topped beer in 2005, beer has been Americans’ drink of choice since the 1990s, and the current figures show the biggest gap between beer and wine in six years. There is a gender split, however, as 57 percent of men usually drink beer, while almost half of women choose wine.

 

 

The World’s Largest FlyingDobsonFly Insect?

What’s believed to be the world’s largest flying aquatic insect was discovered earlier this month in China. Called the dobsonfly, it has an 8.3-inch wingspan and what the Insect Museum of West China described as “giant snake-like fangs.”
