If you ever find yourself asking what the meaning of all this is, do yourself a favor and don’t ask Jim Carrey.

While red carpet interviews are typically composed of inane questions followed by inane answers, Carrey decided to add some excitement to the mix, and wax philosophical at the same time.

    • Things began to look strange immediately, when he started circling the reporter tasked with interviewing him while gazing at her intently before their chat even began.
    • “There’s no meaning to any of this,” Carrey informed a clearly taken aback E! host at a Harper’s Bazaar party on Friday.
    • “You gotta admit, it’s completely meaningless” Carrey intoned, to which Catt Sadler said, “Well… they say they’re celebrating icons inside.”
    • Carrey wasn’t having it: “Celebrating icons, that is just the lowest aiming possibility we can come up with. It’s like icons. Do you believe in icons? I don’t believe in personalities. I don’t believe you exist. But there is a wonderful fragrance in the air.”
    • Midway through, he did a James Brown impersonation.
    • Interesting! Carrey continued to school Sadler, saying: “I believe we’re a field of energy dancing for itself. And, uh… I don’t care.”
    • But there is some good news, he said: “It’s not our world. We don’t matter. There’s the good news.”
    • Sadler later tweeted about the experience, writing: “For the record, I loved him before the interview and I love him after. Thank you for the unexpected dance Mr. Carrey!”

Former One Direction member, Liam Payne and his wife Cheryl have a new born at home. In an interview with the Late Late Show’s James Corden he explained why they named him Bear. When he was born, he didn’t cry, which is a healthy clearing of the lungs and they became worried. The 24 year old, new dad said, “He was going ‘grrr’…growling away when he was sleeping, so I had specialists running in and out of the hospital while my misses was asleep and he was being checked over. He added: ‘And I had like, ten doctors coming in the room and in the end, one guy was like: ‘Dude I’m not being funny, there’s nothing wrong with him – he just likes to make a lot of noise.’ So he just became Bear…and children live out their name, and he’s humongous!”

Baby Bear Payne is now 5 months old.

Earlier this year, Calvin Harris dropped a new album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 and just released a new video from it. “Hard to Love” features a new artist from Toronto, Jessie Reyez.

In a statement, Reyez shared her appreciation for her producer and video director and said, “I love Calvin Harris and Philip Harris, they are not brothers…but I love them both the same.” The young artist takes on a major role in the video as she heads out for a leisurely stroll and skateboarding session.  Funk Wav Bounce Vol. 1 is the Scottish producer’s first album since 2014’s Motion.

Reyez just released her first EP on June 30.
