Active Shooter Alert At Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center

Lebanon, NH – There was an active shooter alert at Dartmouth Hitchcock medical center this afternoon. Authorities confirmed that at around 1:30pm they issued a “Code Silver” which is an active shooter alert at their main campus in Lebanon. However State Police have not confirmed whether or not a shooting had taken place.

Employees and patients were evacuated from the building and have since been allowed to leave the evacuation zones. Lebanon High School and Hanover Street Elementary School were locked down, according to school officials.

State police confirmed that at around 2:50 pm the suspected was in custody. Scanner reports say that the suspect was identified as a 48-year-old man from Rhode Island.

There were reports of Police being seen searching a sliver Ford Escape with Rhode Island License Plates but police have not confirmed whether or not the vehicle was involved in the incident.
