The stars were out last night for the America’s Got Talent finale.

James Arthur hit the stage with young singer Evie Clair to perform one of her original songs during the finale last night at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The duo performed Evie’s song “Okay Day” before James segued into his smash hit song “Say You Won’t Let Go.”

James then welcomed singer Chase Goehring to the stage and they continued to sing the song.

Neither Chase nor Evie made it to the final five. Both of them were eliminated during the first results reveal of the night.

Former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson joined finalists Kechi and Angelica Hale on stage to sing her song “Stronger.” Kelly then went solo to perform her new single “Love So Soft.”

The finale of America’s Got Talent happened on the same exact stage where Kelly was announced the winner of the first season of American Idol.

Other performances included dance group Diavolo, who did unbelievable leaps off structures to “Sign of the Times” by Harry Styles, and Light Balance, who lit up the stage with their neon lights, killer dance moves and special guest Derek Hough.

The winner was Darci Lynne Farmer. The 12-year-old won the night with her incredible singing ventriloquist act, bringing her puppet, Petunia, back for a performance of “Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)” with fellow ventriloquist Terry Fator, who won season 2 of America’s Got Talent.

Maybe Clarissa can explain this one. Melissa Joan Hart is being dragged on social media after complaining that Hurricane Maria ruined her vacation.

Her offending post on Instagram has since been deleted.

  • Here’s how it went: “And just like that, our family vacation is canceled,” the Sabrina, the Teenage Witch alum, 41, captioned a screenshot of a weather report. “Such a bummer but we plan to hit the @nickresortpuntacana resort another time this year.”
  • In the picture, the report showed that Maria “officially made landfall on the Caribbean island of Dominica as a Category 5 hurricane.”
  • Users were quick to point out the error of her ways.
  • “I think you should be more concerned with the people that live there instead of your meaningless vacation,” one person wrote. A second added: “Wow…”
  • Other were more understanding. One wrote: “Calm down people, she can be a caring person and disappointed at the same time. It’s called being human.”
  • This isn’t the first time Hart has been called out for thoughtlessness on social media. In 2015, she promoted her clothing line on the anniversary of September 11th, writing: “Free Shipping in honor of the victims, families & first responders of 9/11. Use the promo code ‘911’ during your online checkout at KingofHarts.com.”
  • She later apologized.

Singer and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Shakira has appealed to her massive network of social media followers to help victims of Tuesday’s earthquake in Mexico. “I am very sad about this terrible tragedy in Mexico,” Shakira tweeted on Wednesday. “If you want to help, please visit shakir.as/unicefmexico  Shak.” Fans who follow the link on the tweet can donate online to UNICEF’s Mexico campaign.

Meanwhile, Shakira and Trevor Noah took a cruise for a new episode of Apple’s Carpool Karaoke: The Series. The Daily Show host and “Hips Don’t Lie” singer meet up in Barcelona, of all places, making for a picturesque backdrop for their drive, with Noah behind the wheel.

“I became a pop singer, but I grew up listening to hard-core rock music,” Shakira explains before launching into a rousing singalong to The Cranberries’ “Zombie.”

Noah, meanwhile, busted out some Wu-Tang Clan, performing an admirable word-for-word rap. “That is one of the greatest moments of my life, I will store it in my memories, rapping Wu-Tang with Shakira,” he says. Their video aired on Apple Music September 19th.

CELINE DION TO COLLECT, MATCH DONATIONS FOR HURRICANE RELIEF DURING CURRENT VEGAS RUN: Tuesday night at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Celine Dion kicked off her latest batch of concerts and she’s using them to help the victims of the recent devastating hurricanes. Celine has announced that she’ll be collecting donations to benefit the American Red Cross during her shows. The singer, along with her concert promoter and Caesars Entertainment, will then match the donations dollar for dollar. She says they will keep the campaign going “for a while.” “If you can spare a few dollars, please donate,” Celine told the crowd, before performing her song “Recovering.” Celine’s current run of shows will go from now through January 20th.

$55 MILLION RAISED DURING ‘HAND IN HAND’ TELETHON FOR HURRICANE RELIEF: Organizers behind last week’s Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief telethon have released updated fundraising totals, now putting the figure at more than $55 million raised to aid those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Previously, it was reported the September 12th event raised $44 million. The one-hour telethon was organized by artist manager Scooter Braun and Houston rapper Bun B and broadcast across several television, radio and streaming networks reaching an audience of over 40 million. More than 130 celebrities showed up to man the phones or ask for help, including Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Nicki Minaj, Kings of Leon, Oprah Winfrey, Gwen Stefani and Justin Timberlake, among others. Donations are still being accepted by phone, text and online at handinhand2017.

Ariana Grande showed just how much of a pro she is in a video she posted on Instagram after a show in Asia.

The singer slipped on a stage prop, but kept her composure, kept singing, and best of all, kept her sense of humor. She wrote, “can’t believe we made it to the second to last show without me slipping on that slippery a** stool honestly I’ll take it.” Dancing between a band of shirtless dancers, the singer didn’t make any more missteps.

Her mom Joan had the perfect response, “This is such a wonderful clip though…fans so concerned screaming, your adorable laughs & then Perfect Singing & you landed like a pro!! Xo,”

Grande will complete the Southeast Asia leg of her Dangerous Woman Tour today.
