ED SHEERAN SHARES UPDATE ON BICYCLE CRASH, CANCELS UPCOMING TOUR DATES – (10/19/2017)

Ed Sheeran has updated fans on his condition after he was involved in a bicycle crash that forced him to wear a cast on his right arm.

“A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future,” the singer wrote, confirming that he will be unable to perform on a number of upcoming dates as part of his ongoing world tour. The image shared by Sheeran featured a closer look at his cast.

“Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that,” Sheeran said. “Please stay tuned for more details. PS – Ed isn’t typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged.”

Sheeran was scheduled to kick off the Asian leg of his tour October 22nd. The 26-year-old has a further eight dates scheduled in Asia, including sold-out performances in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

Sheeran is still set to return stateside for a pair of performances in Los Angeles and New York as part of the annual iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour alongside Taylor Swift and others.

On Monday, Sheeran posted a photo of his right arm in a cast along with the note, “I’ve had a  bit of a bicycle accident. I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows.”

The accident apparently occurred when Sheeran was riding his bike in London and was struck by a car, which knocked him to the ground.

NO DOUBT’S 1992 DEBUT ALBUM BEING REISSUED ON VINYL IN HONOR OF 25TH ANNIVERSARY – (10/19/2017)

No Doubt’s 1992 self-titled debut album celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and to celebrate the milestone, the band is reissuing the record on vinyl for the first time on November 10th.

While it was considered a commercial failure at the time of its release, the album helped No Doubt cultivate a following in the local Southern California scene and lay the groundwork for their eventual break-out with 1995’s Tragic Kingdom.

No Doubt has released a total of six studio albums, the most recent of which is 2012’s Push and Shove. Earlier this year, bassist Tony Kanal said the band is on “indefinite hiatus.”

In the meantime, Gwen Stefani continues to release music as a solo artist, while the rest of No Doubt – Kanal, guitarist Tom Dumont and drummer Adrian Young – teamed up with AFI’s Davey Havok to form the band Dreamcar.

Last month, Stefani released a holiday single “You Make it Feel Like Christmas” with her boyfriend, country singer Blake Shelton. It’s taken from her album of the same name.

LOUIS TOMLINSON DROPS LYRIC VIDEO FOR ‘JUST LIKE YOU’ – (10/19/2017)

Louis Tomlinson dropped his new song, “Just Like You,” last week and now there is a lyric video for it. The video is designed in an editorial, newspaper-headline style. Louis uses the newspaper format of the lyric video to impress on his viewers the message that what’s written about him in the press doesn’t reflect the whole story of who he really is.

“I’ve read a lot of press stories about myself and the press and everyone naturally puts this spin on fame and celebrity, and I kinda just wanted to show the other side of it,” he explained.

The single, which arrived last Thursday, is the singer’s first completely-solo track, which followed his two prior singles “Just Hold On” featuring Steve Aoki and “Back to You” featuring Bebe Rexha.

Tomlinson’s debut solo album has yet to be named, and still does not have a release date.
