It’s finally happening! Hours after announcing their engagement, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared together at Kensington Palace Monday afternoon to pose for official photos. They royal pair held their official meet-and-greet in Sunken Gardens, one of Harry’s mother Princess Diana’s favorite places.

As the world took a break to breathe into a brown paper bag, details of their engagement and wedding began to leak out. The pair also sat down for a dishy interview with the BBC in which they shared juicy details about their romance and Harry’s proposal.

  • When asked how they felt at the meet-and-greet, Harry said simply, “Thrilled. Very glad it’s not raining!” Markle then added: “So happy.”
  • Harry was also asked when he knew she was one, and he replied: “The very first time we met.”
  • The pair also offered a glimpse of Markle’s gorgeous diamond engagement ring, which Harry designed himself, using a diamond from Botswana and two diamonds that belonged to his late mother. They camped in Botswana for five days about a month after meeting each other through a mutual friend, making the gorgeous sparkler deeply meaningful for both of them.

Harry and Markle appeared surprisingly open and engaged with the BBC for their first post-engagement interview. When pressed for deets on the big ask, Markle said it happened at their Kensington Palace cottage when they were “trying to roast a chicken.”

  • “She didn’t even let me finish,” Harry said. “Then there were hugs and I had the ring in my finger and I was like can I give you the ring? She goes — oh yes the ring.”
  • The pair began dating in July of 2016. Harry described their romantic camp-out, shortly after a few whirlwind dates in London: “And then it was about three, maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to join me in Botswana. And we camped out with each other, under the stars. She managed to come out there with me for five days, which was absolutely fantastic. And then we were really by ourselves.”

Markle is reportedly leaving her long-running legal drama Suits behind for marriage.

  • She shut down her lifestyle website Tig when their relationship heated up, a move many saw as a precursor to their engagement.
  • The British monarchy, according to experts on all things royal, does not approve of royals who have official, non-philanthropic careers.
  • “It would be groundbreaking if she were able to continue in her job,” Sarika Bose, a professor at the University of British Columbia who closely follows the royal family, tells Moneyish. However, some say times are changing, and that Markle may be given more leeway in terms of her career choices.

Markle and Harry will marry in Spring of 2018.

  • It will be the biggest royal wedding since Prince William and Kate Middleton married in 2011. (Harry is fifth in line for the throne). In a statement, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip said they were “delighted for the couple and wish them every happiness.”
  • While their story has a happy ending, it didn’t start on a great note. Markle became the victim of seriously racist tabloid and troll blowback when their relationship went public. So much so, Harry was forced to issue an official statement on November 8th, 2016, telling press to back off.
  • Markle took it in stride though, telling the BBC: “At the end of the day, I’m really proud of who I am and where I come from. We have never put any focus on that. We’ve just focused on who we are as a couple. And so, when you take all those extra layers away and all of that noise, I think it makes it really easy to just enjoy being together and tune all of the rest of that out.”

Whoa, mama! Momager Kris Jenner has never been one to pull punches, and during the Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s holiday special, she let some doozies fly.

In the process, she gave serious credence to the unconfirmed reports of two of her daughters’ pregnancies.

  • Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian are both rumored to be pregnant, but neither one has confirmed or denied the reports. Kim Kardashian West, 36, has confirmed the reports that she is expecting her third child via surrogate with husband Kanye West.
  • During a group dinner where everyone discussed what they were thankful for, Kim acknowledged her baby on the way.
  • “I’m thankful for the calm before the storm next year with the new baby. And I’m thankful that we have family,” Kim said.
  • Kris, 62, teared up thinking about her blessings. “I used to pray that one of you guys would have a baby and now it’s like a faucet that we turned on that won’t turn off,” she said, looking right at Khloe and Kylie. “The fact that I have all these grandchildren, it’s been the most amazing journey to watch your kids because it’s truly the meaning of just life.”
  • “One of my favorite traditions during the holidays is to shop for all the kids for Christmas — and now, it’s extra special because I get to shop for all the grandkids,” she dished later. “It never seems to end, which is exciting.”
  • Kylie, 19, spent most of the episode behind a table where her stomach couldn’t be seen, while Khloe, 33, showed off what many believe may be a bump under an apron during a baking session with Kris.

South Korean boy band BTS performed on Monday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The K-pop stars discussed the NBC sitcom Friends before performing their single “DNA” on the daytime talk show.

Member RM, previously known as Rap Monster, told host Ellen DeGeneres he taught himself English by watching Friends. He said his mom bought him the complete DVD set when he was a teenager. “My English teacher was a sitcom, Friends. Back in the day when I was like, 15, 14, it was quite a syndrome for all the Korean parents to make their kids watch the Friends. I thought I was a victim at the time,” the singer joked.

“First I watched with the Korean subtitles, then next time I watched with the English subtitles, then I just removed it,” he added.

Member Suga added that the boy band’s music is meant to connect with people around the world, regardless of language. “I think we can all share in the same message,” he said through a translator. “I think that’s why our songs appeal to people who speak Korean and people who don’t speak Korean.”

BTS also discussed their love for the Army fan base and if they ever “hooked up” with a fan. Their stop on Ellen comes a few days after making their debut live at the 2017 AMAs as well as their visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“Mic Drop” appears on BTS’ latest EP, Love Yourself ‘Her’, which debuted in September. The group is working on a remix with American DJ and producer Steve Aoki, and shared a video from the collaboration this month.
