Usher has been the latest victim of a home burglary. According to The Blast, the singer had $820,000 in jewelry and cash stolen from his L.A. home. Usher’s estranged wife, Grace Miguel, filed a police report with the LAPD, saying that the singer’s home was burglarized. Miguel said that she was notified of the incident by the housekeeper on March 29th. The housekeeper told Miguel that when she arrived at the home that morning, she “discovered a footprint on the second floor, a handprint on the pillow in the lower floor, and the curtains to the lower floor window were open.”

According to Miguel, when the housekeeper went to check the recording box where the security camera footage was kept, “she noticed that the recording box was missing and connecting wires were cut.” Miguel said that she arrived at the home, she verified that jewelry had been stolen and when she called Usher to tell him what happened, she noticed that cash was also missing from a box on the nightstand — $20,000 according to the report.

  • Miguel told the police that she thinks the thieves must have unlocked a window in the home during a recent open house — the house is currently listed for sale. She has reached out to the realtor to get a list of people who attended the open house and will turn it over to the police once she receives it. In the report, Miguel says that she believes the thieves stole the jewelry earlier in the week and returned for the security footage.
  • Miguel also told the police that the week before, the housekeeper noticed one of Usher’s rings were missing, but she assumed he had it. Days later, the housekeeper noticed that jewelry was also missing, but she assumed Usher had that also.
  • Six watches were stolen, the most expensive being $220,000 and a rose gold Jesus necklace worth $200,000.

Demi Lovato has teamed up with the ride share service Lyft to give four Miami drivers free studio time, as well as free VIP tickets to her show.

Last month, Lyft put out the call for local drivers/aspiring artists to audition for a commercial. The company then chose four winning drivers and sent them to the Gibson Guitar Showroom in Miami, where they were given the surprise opportunity to meet and perform for Demi. One of the winners happened to be Jarae Womack, the niece of R&B/soul legend Bobby Womack and the great-granddaughter of the late, legendary “King of Soul” Sam Cooke.

The other winners included bassist Jermaine Walden, musician/filmmaker Conrad Clyde and producer/songwriter Eric Monterossa. All of the winners drive Lyft to help make their financial ends meet while they pursue their dreams.

“I was inspired by these four amazing Lyft drivers, and am so lucky to have had the chance to get to know their personal journeys and make it that much easier for them to pursue their love of music,” Demi tells Billboard in a statement.

She adds, “It’s always been important for me to use my platform to help and inspire others, and giving these talented Lyft drivers the opportunity to continue to make music and encourage them to follow their dreams meant the world to me.”

Adele’s reaction watching Beyoncé’s headlining Coachella set is priceless. Adele watched the show from the comfort of her home, and could not sit still.

The singer, and huge Beyoncé fangirl, posted a series of Boomerang videos of herself to Instagram watching Bey’s performance on a TV screen and dancing along.

In the first video, Adele, wearing a comfy sweatshirt and sweatpants, hopped from side to side while holding a trumpet. “Mood 1 #Beychella,” she captioned it. Her “Mood 2” video featured her with her hands on her hips, shaking her booty. And in the “Mood 3” video, she’s seen swinging her hair around with abandon.

Last year when Adele won Album of the Year at the Grammys, she proclaimed from the podium that Beyoncé should have won. “I’m very humbled and very grateful and gracious but my artist of my life is Beyoncé,” Adele said through tears.

Rachel Platten was singing the National Anthem at the Chicago Red Stars vs. Utah Royals MLS soccer game over the weekend when she forgot the lyrics.

The 36-year-old “Fight Song” singer kicked off the song by singing, “Oh say can you see, by the STARS early light.” The song’s opening lyric is actually, “Oh say can you see, by the DAWN’s early light.”

Rachel realized her mistake and restarted, but then had to stop again and ask for the correct lyric. Some members of the crowd tried to help her with the lyrics, and Platten made it through the end of the performance after beginning it for a third time.

Despite the mix-up, Platten managed to maintain a smile through the mayhem. Platten previously sang the national anthem at Game 1 of the 2016 World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians without error.
