Katy Perry has topped Forbes’ annual list of the highest paid women in music for 2018 ahead of peers Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.

Perry reached No. 1 on the list by earning $83 million before taxes from June 1, 2017, to June 1, 2018.

ARIANA GRANDE TEASES ‘MEAN GIRLS’ & ‘LEGALLY BLONDE’ INSPIRATION FOR ‘THANK U, NEXT’ MUSIC VIDEO – (11/21/2018)

Ariana Grande has been teasing pictures paying tribute to both Mean Girls and Legally Blonde while filming the music video for her latest single, “thank u, next.”

“i’m on an all carb diet GOD KAREN U ARE SO STooPID,” she captioned one post with friends, referencing one of the many quotes from Mean Girls.

“whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed,” she captioned another, sitting behind a 1999 Apple iBook – a direct reference to Reese Witherspoon’s Elle Woods in Legally Blonde.

She teased the Legally Blonde vibes even further by posing with Jennifer Coolidge: “new best friend …. thank u, next,” she captioned their cute photo together.

Ari also teased a photo of a dollhouse, suggesting that she might not be done with the movie references for the music video. She paid homage to First Wives Club with her first live performance of “thank u, next” on Ellen.

THE QUEEN WAS ‘SURPRISED’ WHEN MEGHAN MARKLE WORE WHITE WEDDING DRESS – (11/21/2018)

Royal shade! When Meghan Markle floated down the aisle in her Clare Wight Keller for Givenchy gown, she created one of the fashion moments of the year, if not the decade. Not everyone was thrilled of course, and per a new report in The Daily Mail, Queen Elizabeth was shook over her choice of color.

Per the report: “The Queen is said to have expressed surprise that Meghan, a divorcée, wore quite such a white dress for her wedding.”

These aren’t the first stirrings of disapproval from on high. The Queen also reportedly told palace officials to ask her  to “start dressing less like a Hollywood star and more like a Royal.”

TWITTER REACTS AS NEIL PATRICK HARRIS DRAGS ‘DANCING WITH THE STARS’ – (11/21/2018)

The world now knows how Neil Patrick Harris feels about Dancing With the Stars. (Spoiler: not a fan). The 45-year-old issued a tart verdict following Bobby Bones’ win:  “Dancing With the Stars just confirmed why I don’t watch Dancing With the Stars.”

It seems the DJ and his partner Sharna Burgess were just as surprised as viewers (they didn’t receive the highest scores from the judges), telling Entertainment Tonight: “We were shocked. You have to think about it, [when] we started the show, I had never danced before… I cannot believe we won.”

Bones was up against Alexis Ren, Evanna Lynch, and Milo Manheim, among others.

While some concurred with Harris’ assessment, including Andy Cohen, who wrote that “Milo got robbed!” others pointed out that it was “never” about “talent,” and that Bones was the fan favorite from the beginning.

COLOSSAL DIAMOND RING MIA IN PARIS HILTON, CHRIS ZYLKA SPLIT – (11/21/2018)

Break-ups are awkard in the best of circumstances … now imagine there’s a $2 million diamond ring in the mix. That’s what’s happening in the Paris Hilton/Chris Zylka split, amid reports that she dumped him, but is hanging on to the mesmerizingly large (20 carats!) pear-shaped sparkler he proposed with.

According to TMZ, Hilton is hanging on the ring, but that Zylka plans a “hard ask I Paris doesn’t” cough up the goods soon. Hilton hasn’t been the most devoted of caretakers of the gem thus far, managing to lose it at a Miami rave in March, just four months after receiving it.

It was “just so heavy and big,” it “literally flew” off her finger and into an ice bucket, she breathlessly explained on Twitter

Hilton, who hasn’t publicly commented on her breakup, alluded to it in an Instagram post. She dressed up as Marilyn Monroe, and shared a favorite quote from the siren as her caption: I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself. And sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”
