TAYLOR SWIFT TO PERFORM AT MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS 2019 – (08/08/2019)

Taylor Swift will perform live at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards this month.

MTV announced in a tweet the 29-year-old singer will take the stage at the awards show August 26th at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. “You’ll never find another like @taylorswift13…. AND SHE’S PERFORMING LIVE AT THE #VMAs BE PART OF THE MOMENT. AUGUST 26 on @MTV,” the post reads.

The 2019 ceremony will mark Swift’s first performance at the VMAs since 2015. Swift is nominated for 10 awards at this year’s show, including Video of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop for “You Need to Calm Down.”

Swift will perform August 22nd on Good Morning America and release her seventh studio album, Lover, the next day. She has released three songs from the album, “Me!” featuring Brendon Urie, “You Need to Calm Down,” and “The Archer.”

ARIANA GRANDE PERFORMS WITH BARBRA STREISAND – (08/08/2019)

Ariana Grande had the “best night” of her life with Barbra Streisand in Chicago.

Ari performed alongside the 77-year-old music icon on Tuesday night at Barbra’s United Center concert in Chicago. Sources told People the audience “went wild” and gave a standing ovation after Grande and Streisand performed “No More Tears (Enough is Enough),” a 1979 duet Streisand originally recorded with Donna Summer. “The entire theater turned into a dance party immediately,” a source said. “The whole place got up.”

Streisand had teased a collaboration with Grande Monday by posting a photo of just their hands. “Made a new friend,” she wrote.

“The best night of my life,” Ariana wrote on her Instagram Story later that night. “I’m gonna go pass out. You’re just gonna find 10 pounds of hair,” she joked.

“cherishing this moment forever @barbrastreisand,” she wrote on Instagram. “hello shaking and crying. thank u @BarbraStreisand. don’t have words yet goodbye,” she wrote.

Grande followed up by posting a photo of herself with Streisand.

Streisand shared a color version of the photo with Grande on her own account.

“Secret’s out. Thank you @ArianaGrande,” she wrote, adding three heart emojis.

Grande had her own concert Sunday in Chicago and will kick off the European leg of her Sweetener world tour August 17th in London. She released the new single “Boyfriend” last week.

Streisand will next perform her Simply Streisand show August 23rd in Milton, Delaware. She last released the album Walls in November, which includes the single “Don’t Lie to Me.”

KHALID PLANNING A BENEFIT CONCERT FOR EL PASO SHOOTING VICTIMS – (08/08/2019)

Khalid is planning a concert for the families of the victims of the mass shooting in his hometown of El Paso, Texas.

The 21-year-old singer revealed his plans on Monday in the wake of the horrific event. “Over the past few days, my mind and heart have been heavy. Hearing/seeing an act of terrorism happen so close to home, my family, and my friends has been unbelievable and shocking. Singing ‘915′ and ‘city of El Paso’ on tour every night feels indescribable,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Over the past few days, I’ve been thinking of ways to help out and support the city. I’m planning for a benefit concert later this month, all of the proceeds will go to the families affected by the shooting. Sending everyone my love and will keep you guys updated,” he added.

On Saturday, 21-year-old Patrick Crusius opened fire at an El Paso Walmart, killing 22 people and injuring more than two dozen others.

Khalid was born in Georgia, but his family moved to El Paso when he was a junior in high school and has adopted it as his hometown.

CHANNING TATUM QUITS SOCIAL MEDIA – (08/08/2019)

Channing Tatum has joined a long line of celebs (including Miley Cyrus, Pete Davidson, Millie Bobby Brown and Cardi B) who have opted out of social media for a sec or longer.

The 39-year-old posted about his impending exit on Instagram, writing: “I’m gonna go and just be in the real world for a while and off my phone. I’ll probably come back at some point. But if i do i want to have direction or a clear point of view of why I’m on here and what I’m putting out there.”

“The thing about creativity… in my experience, is she always comes knocking when you just aren’t looking,” he added in the post’s caption. “I’d say you’ve got a pretty good record creatively, she’ll be back when the times right.”

Tatum has more than 8 million followers on Twitter and 17 million on Instagram. He has previously dished about his relationship with Jessie J and has even posted nude photos. 

He also recently raised eyebrows after posting a video ranting about the app Pattern, which he suspected was “spying” on him.
