MADONNA SUED BY FAN FOR STARTING HER SHOWS TOO LATE – (11/11/2019)

A Florida man is suing Madonna and Live Nation for late concert start times.

Nate Hollander filed the lawsuit in Miami-Dade County Court. In the filing, Hollander said he originally bought three tickets to Madonna’s December 17th show at The Fillmore Miami Beach, spending nearly $1,025. The show, which was originally set for 8:30 p.m., has been moved back to 10:30 p.m. Hollander says in the suit he tried without success to obtain a refund from Live Nation when the start time changed.

“Ticketholders had to work and go to school the next day, which prevented them from attending a concert that would end at around 1:00 a.m.,” the suit claims. “Due to the change in the start times … all tickets purchased by Hollander and all class members suffered an extreme loss in value, making it impossible for Hollander and all class members to recover the amount paid for said tickets by reselling them.”

Hollander sued for breach of contract stating Madonna has a history of tardiness and the concert team should have known the show would not go on at the scheduled start time.

Speaking of which – Madonna’s 10:30 p.m. show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Thursday did not begin until 12:30 a.m., leading the audience to boo upon her arrival.

Fans also took to social media and accused her of not performing her hits, talking too much and belittling her audience by even calling them “poor” at one point during the show. It was so bad that Wonderwall.com reports a source told them more than 500 refunds were issued to fans who left before or walked out during the show.

Madonna took to Twitter over the weekend to share her reply to the crowd’s frustration, telling them, “Here’s something that you all need to understand. And that is, that a queen is never late.” Madonna posted the video on Saturday with the caption “F.A.C.T.S.”
