Remains Found at RMS Titanic Wreck?

A newly released photo from the North Atlantic site of the shipwrecked RMS Titanic shows evidence of human remains, federal officials are saying.  In observance of the 100th anniversary of the ship’s sinking, a 2004 image was reissued to the public in an uncropped version, which shows a coat and boots buried in the mud at the site two-and-a-half miles below the ocean’s surface, where the legendary passenger liner now lies.

Brides-to-Be Using Nasal Feeding Tube to Lose Weight

Some brides-to-be looking to lose 10 or 20 pounds fast to fit into their wedding gowns are taking the controversial and many would say extreme approach of going on a diet in which they get their nutrition from a feeding tube up their noses, ABC News reports. With the K-E diet, which promises rapid weight loss of up to 20 pounds in 10 days, people insert a feeding tube into their nose that runs to the stomach through which they’re fed a constant slow drip of protein and fat mixed with water that totals 800 calories a day. Dr. Oliver Di Pietro told ABC News that fat is burned off leaving muscle intact, and that dieters aren’t hungry throughout the 10 days. Patients, who Di Pietro says are under a doctor’s supervision, carry the food solution with them in a bag, keeping the tube in their nose for 10 days straight. He says the few side effects include bad breath and constipation, because of lack of fiber. Di Petro charges $1,500 for the diet, which has actually been around for years in Europe. Critics warn that losing too much weight too fast can be dangerous, and say the weight loss won’t last.

Romney Says Would Consider Going on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Mitt Romney said in an interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer yesterday (April 16th) that he’d consider appearing on Saturday Night Live, saying, “Of course it would depend on the nature of the skit. I want it to be funny.” Romney denied reports that he’d already been approached to appear on the show, but said it sounds like a lot of fun. He also said he enjoys Jason Sudeikis’ impersonation of him on SNL, and even sets his DVR to record it. Sudeikis has portrayed Romney as buttoned up and stiff, with ABC citing one sketch in which Romney promises to go “raw and unleashed” and then just opens the button of his suit jacket. But Romney showed he could poke fun at himself last December when he did a self-deprecating Top Ten list on CBS’ The Late Show with David Letterman. The Week notes that nearly every presidential candidate has made an SNL appearance in recent election cycles — although 2004 Democratic nominee John Kerry was an exception.
