NEW HOUSE FOR BRANGELINA: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reportedly bought a $16 million mansion in Richmond, West London. The Sun reported that the purchase comes a year after they spent $50,000 a month to rent the home — called Whornes Place — while Pitt was in the area filming World War Z. A source told the paper, “They like the culture and are happy for their children to receive schooling here. They think Richmond is a beautiful part of the world.”
CHRIS HARRISON SPLITS FROM WIFE: The Bachelor host Chris Harrison and his wife Gwen are separating after 18 years of marriage. He told People magazine, “Though we have made this incredibly difficult decision to separate, our love and mutual respect remain, and we look forward to sharing in the lives of our wonderful children.”
JULIA ROBERTS AND GEORGE CLOONEY FILE JOINT LAWSUIT: Julia Roberts and George Clooney are teaming up — for a lawsuit. The mega stars filed a joint suit against Beyond Audio, Inc and Digital Projection, Inc. for allegedly using their names and images to promote their products. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the lawsuit accuses the company of privacy and publicity right violations, negligent misuse and trademark infringement. The company allegedly used large photographs of them for marketing in “print advertisements published in numerous magazines over the past several months” without permission.
PATRICK SCHWARZENEGGER TAKES JIMMY IOVINE’S DAUGHTER TO PROM: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s son Patrick took Jade Iovine, the daughter of American Idol mentor Jimmy Iovine as his date to the prom this year. The 18-year-old tweeted a picture of himself with Jade, writing, “Prom with my best friend @jadeiovine.”
RYAN O’NEAL, YOU ARE NOT THE FATHER: Ryan O’Neal is not the father of a new baby. RadarOnline.com reported that the 70-year-old took a paternity test after a woman claimed to have had his child — and the test proved that he is not in fact the father. His rep said after the results came in, “As we stated when this allegation was initially made, Mr. O’Neal never had sex with this woman, and we feel completely vindicated.”
BARRY WATSON TO BE A DAD AGAIN: Barry Watson and Natasha Gregson Wagner are expecting a child. A rep for the former 7th Heaven actor confirmed that Wagner — daughter of the late actress Natalie Wood — is pregnant. It will be her first child; Watson is already a father to Oliver, 7, and Felix, 4, with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’s Tracy Hutson.
ED HELMS RELEASING ALBUM: Ed Helms is embarking on a musical career. The actor — famous for his roles on The Office and in The Hangover movies — is releasing a bluegrass album. Helms and his Oberlin College classmates Jacob Tilove and Ian Riggs started playing together in school and have now decided to make their group official with an album. He said, “We’ve been laying down some demos and kicking them back and forth. We’ve been playing together so long, we have so many original tunes. We’ve made recordings for friends and family for years but we’ve never done a proper album.”
MICK JAGGER HOSTING SNL: Mick Jagger will be hosting the season finale of Saturday Night Live. The Rolling Stones frontman was a musical guest twice before on the show, but this will mark his first hosting gig. Jagger will also perform on the May 19th episode.
ROB PATTINSON LOADS HIS PLATE: Robert Pattinson has joined The Rover, a film that “follows one man’s pursuit through the Australian Outback of the men who stole his car.” Pattinson will play a character named Reynolds. The news comes just a day after it was announced that Pattinson will star in Mission: Blacklist.
Reports say that Halle Berry‘s ex Gabriel Aubry has dragged her back into court — asking her to pay his attorney’s fees and an increase in child support. According to TMZ.com, Gabriel — who has been fighting Halle since last year over custody of their 4-year-old daughter Nahla, was in court yesterday morning (May 3rd) expecting to argue his case, but the case was continued because the paperwork wasn’t filled out properly.
Gabriel reportedly asked for Halle to pay for half a million dollars in attorney’s fees and $20,000 a month in child support. Sources say that Gabriel believes he is entitled to the money because he needs a proper environment for Nahla.
