NEW MAN FOR EMMA ROBERTS? Emma Roberts reportedly has a new boyfriend. JustJared.com reported that the actress — who recently split from Glee’s Chord Overstreet — is now dating American Horror Story actor Evan Peters. A source told the website, “Emma and Evan have been dating. . . and even worked together on the satirical comedy Adult World. They were holding hands and locking arms at the wedding and looked really cute.”
JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT SLAMS GQ ARTICLE: Joseph Gordon-Levitt has lashed out at GQ after the magazine printed that his older brother died of a drug overdose. In the article, for which Joseph was interviewed, the author wrote, ‘ . . . the elder Gordon-Levitt died of an alleged drug overdose in 2010. ‘It was an accident’ is all Joe will say about that.’” In a message on his website, the actor said, “The ‘allegations’ to which [the writer] must be referring were made by a handful of gossip websites. They are factually incorrect according to the coroner’s office and the police department. I don’t like publicly speaking about my brother’s death, but I’m making an exception to correct this irresponsible claim.”
SAMMI AND DEENA SPAR ON TWITTER: Drama among the Jersey Shore girls is continuing even though filming has wrapped on season six. Deena Cortese and Sammi “Sweetheart” exchanged insults on Twitter after Sammi accused Deena of buying the same car as her. Deena shot back, “lol @mtvsammi WOW. lol pretty pathetic..im pretty sure theres 11231 ppl out there with white bmws..does yours have a stripe? red interior? the m package?? OH WAIT! and yours is a 5 series! and mines the new 3 series. . . honestly you ranting over twitter bc of a car is pathetic..if you were a real friend youd say congrats. . .like my other 2 girls with beamers (sic)”
KATIE AND SURI IN FENDER BENDER: Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise were involved in a fender bender on Monday night in New York — but they’re both fine. TMZ.com reported that the Mercedes-Benz limo carrying the duo was sideswiped by a giant garbage truck after Suri’s gymnastics lesson. No one was cited and there was only minor damage to the vehicles.
IS VERA WANG A COUGAR?? Vera Wang is reportedly already in a new relationship — even though she just announced that she was separating from her husband last week. The New York Daily News claims that the 63-year-old designer is dating 27-year-old Olympic champion ice skater Evan Lysacek. One friend told the paper that while Wang is “enamored with” Lysacek, it’s not romantic — however another says “something is going on.”
BRUCE JENNER COVERING OLYMPICS FOR E! Bruce Jenner is returning to his roots. The 1976 decathlon gold medalist, best known now for being Kim Kardashian’s stepdad, will travel to London and cover the 2012 Olympics for E!. As E! is a property of NBC Universal, they are being given a studio at the Games where celebrities and athletes can stop by for interviews. Giuliana Rancic will be anchoring the E! coverage, while Jenner, Catt Sadler, Ross Mathews and Robbie Laughlin will serve as reporters.
CHARLIE SHEEN SERIOUS ABOUT ‘AMERICAN IDOL’: Charlie Sheen claims that he’s genuinely interested in becoming a judge on American Idol. Although producer Nigel Lythgoe was reportedly joking when he threw out Charlie and Jerry Lewis’s names as potential judges, Sheen says the idea has grown on him. He told Ryan Seacrest, “It seems so out of the blue that it almost made perfect sense. I thought this could be a lot of fun. Seriously … I’m genuinely interested. It’s so different, it could be radical.”
‘FINDING NEMO’ SEQUEL IN THE WORKS: Finding Nemo is getting a sequel. Industry insiders said that Andrew Stanton, the man behind the Toy Story series, Monsters, Inc., and Wall-E, has been selected by Disney and Pixar to direct the animated movie after presenting a concept that was “very well-received.” Despite the good news — the film likely won’t show up in theaters until 2016.
Tom Cruise reunited with his daughter Suri on Tuesday (July 17th) in New York City. It marked the first time the daddy-daughter duo had seen one another since he and Katie Holmes announced their divorce.
Tom, who has mostly been in Iceland filming a movie since the split news broke, was spotted carrying Suri into his NYC hotel.
A witness told People magazine, “Tom looked really happy. He’s been dying to see her.”
Tom is expected to spend several days with Suri in NYC. It’s unclear whether he and Holmes will spend any time face to face.
- However, Tom and Katie reportedly settled their divorce so quickly for Suri’s sake and plan to keep things civil. A source told People, “They both know they are going to have to make decisions together regarding Suri for many, many years. And they know she loves both her parents.”
Kris Humphries’s ex-girlfriend still wants to stay in the spotlight — even without his baby. Although she finally denied rumors that she’s carrying the NBA star’s baby, Myla Sinanaj claims Kim Kardashian has hired private investigators to watch over her.
Myla tweeted to Kim earlier this week, “Why don’t u enjoy ur Miami trip and stop sending private investigators to my house-Stop dragging me into ur drama.”
She added, “I don’t have to explain Or apologize for who I chose to be friends with. Subpoena or not!”
- When the status of Kris and Myla’s relationship was still in question, Kim’s lawyers subpoenaed her to be deposed in the ex-couple’s ongoing divorce case.
Meanwhile, Kris has signed a new, two-year, $24 million deal with the Nets, meaning he’ll be moving with the team from New Jersey to Brooklyn.
- Ironically, the Nets are partly owned by Jay-Z — who is close friends with Kim’s new beau, Kanye West.
