‘DWTS’ PRO DATING BACHELOR CAST-OFF? Dancing With the Stars pro Karina Smirnoff is reportedly dating Arie Luyendyk Jr. — who came just shy of receiving the final rose from Emily Maynard on The Bachelorette. Star magazine reported that the two met last month at a party thrown by Karina’s costar Kym Johnson. A source told the magazine, “Everyone could see them — they were having a blast. If dating each other gets more headlines, they are all for it.”

STAR MAGAZINE APOLOGIZES TO NICOLAS CAGE: Star magazine has issued an apology to Nicolas Cage for claiming that he stalked Vanessa Hudgens while they were filming the movie The Frozen Ground. The magazine admitted, “In a story in the Sept. 17 issue, ‘Creepy Cage Stalked his Costar,’ we erroneously reported that Nicolas Cage had ‘unnerved’ High School Musical actress Vanessa Hudgens with his behavior on the set of their new thriller, The Frozen Ground. Nic and Vanessa denied that any of the reported events occurred, and they confirmed that they’re on excellent terms and are eagerly looking forward to the Nov. 30 release of their film. We apologize to Mr. Cage for the error and are happy to set the record straight.”

DOES LARK VOOHIES HAVE BIPOLAR DISORDER? Former Saved By the Bell star Lark Voorhies may or may not have bipolar disorder. After the actress gave an interview in which she appeared incoherent, Lark’s mother revealed her daughter’s supposed diagnosis to People magazine. However Lark — who lives with her mom — denied the diagnosis, saying that such concerns were the result of having an “over-loving” mom. Lark explained the interview saying, “I have a strong spiritual sense. You caught me in moments of pray [sic].”

KATE GOSSELIN DOESN’T BLAME DIVORCE ON REALITY SHOW: Kate Gosselin said that her marriage to ex Jon would have ended with or without a reality show in their lives. She told Katie Couric, “I know the red flags were always there. So looking back, had you never heard the names Jon and Kate Gosselin, I’m certain that I would be in that spot now.” Kate also confirmed that she’d like to star on her own dating show as she tries to find love again. She explained, “I think that it would be fun because that would allow me to sort of meet people, have fun, show my fun side — I do have one. I’m not always barking orders! And so to sort of do that, I do, I think it would be really fun.”

JOANNA KRUPA THREATENS TO SUE OVER HOOKER STORY: Joanna Krupa is threatening to sue over a report that claims she was paid for sex. Nik Richie at TheDirty.com wrote a post titled “Joanna Krupa Is a Confirmed Hooker,” claiming that the Real Housewives of Miami star was paid $10,000 to have sex with a man she was matched with through an escort agency. Her lawyer has threatened a lawsuit if the story isn’t pulled, calling the situation “an extremely serious matter.”

RON LIVINGSTON IS PROUD OF SISTER: Jennifer Livingston, the Wisconsin reporter who made headlines after defending her weight on the air this week, is the sister of actor Ron Livingston. He spoke of his now-famous sibling, saying, “My sister Jennifer . . . brings an exceptional dedication to her job, her family, and her community, and has been a role model of mine for many, many years.”

RYAN SEACREST SAYS ‘IDOL’ JUDGES ARE FINE: Ryan Seacrest said that the American Idol team is glad that Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey aren’t getting along on the set of American Idol. After video surfaced of Nicki cursing at her costar, Ryan said on his radio show, “We want that! We want them to be on this panel together. This is a good team, a great team, to go out and look for the next American Idol.”

KONY DIRECTOR TALKING TO OPRAH: Jason Russell, the director behind the viral KONY video, is opening up to Oprah after his meltdown earlier this year. In an interview airing on Oprah’s Next Chapter this Sunday (October 7th), Russell explains of the lewd public behavior that landed him in jail, “Again, it’s really hard to explain if people who have never had an out-of-body experience, but it really wasn’t me.” Check out the promo: SOUNDCUE (:28 OC: . . . KHLOE NOT A LOCK FOR ‘X FACTOR’? According to E!, Khloe Kardashian is not a lock for the X Factor host gig. Although it was reported that the reality star was a shoo in, Chrissy Teigen is supposedly still in contention for the job. Mario Lopez will be the male co-host. An official announcement is expected any day.

Nicole Kidman confessed that she battled depression after her marriage to Tom Cruise crumbled in 2001. The actress told Who magazine, “I got married really fast and really young. But I don’t regret that because it got me (my children) Bella and Connor and I did have a fantastic marriage for a long period. Then when it didn’t work out I had to really dig deep and find my way through depression. I have no regrets about all of it. It was all part of growing up.”

Kidman and Cruise tied the knot in 1990 after starring together in Days of Thunder. She was just 23 at the time.

Nicole added that her depression was fueled by the difficulty she experienced trying to conceive naturally. She admitted, “I had so much time thinking that wasn’t going to happen in my life and trying to understand that. When it did happen – and for it to be a surprise – that was great. I had tried and failed and failed and failed. Not to be too detailed, but I’ve had an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriages and I’ve had fertility treatments. I’ve done all the stuff you can possibly do to try get pregnant.”

Kidman and her now-husband Keith Urban welcomed a biological child, Sunday Rose, in 2008. She said of Sunday’s birth, “Every woman who has been through all those ups and downs knows the depression that comes with it. So the way it just happened with Sunday was like, ‘What?’ The percentages were so low. It is the miracle in my life.”

  • Urban and Kidman also have another daughter, Faith, who was born through a surrogate in 2010.
