One Dead After East Conway Road Accident

CONWAY POLICE SAY A MAN IN HIS EARLY TWENTIES IS DEAD AFTER AN APPARENT WORKPLACE ACCIDENT IN EAST CONWAY MONDAY MORNING.

LT. CHRIS PERLEY SAYS HIS DEPARTMENT, REDSTONE FIRE, NORTH CONWAY FIRE RESCUE AND NORTH CONWAY AMBULANCE WERE CALLED TO EAST CONWAY SELF-STORAGE OFF EAST CONWAY ROAD ABOUT 9 A.M. MONDAY.

ON ARRIVAL RESPONDERS FOUND ONE MAN DEAD AFTER BEING INJURED IN A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT. THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE – WHO WAS DRIVING A 4-DOOR FORD F-150 – WAS NOT INJURED.

PERLEY SAYS THE INITIAL INVESTIGATION INDICATES IT WAS A TRAGIC ACCIDENT.

PERLEY SAYS THE DECEASED MAN WORKED AT THE SELF-STORAGE FACILITY.

THE DRIVER OF THE PICKUP – WHO’S WIFE WAS RIDING AS A PASSENGER AT THE TIME – WAS TAKEN FOR A BLOOD TEST AS PART OF ROUTINE PROCEDURE.

PERLEY SAYS IDENTITIES OF THOSE INVOLVED HAVE NOT YET BEEN RELEASED, PENDING NOTIFICATION OF THE DEAD MAN’S FAMILY.

INVESTIGATORS ARE BEING ASSISTED AT THE SCENE BY BY THE STATE MEDICAL EXAMINER’S OFFICE AND THE CARROLL COUNTY ATTORNEY’S OFFICE.
