JIMMY KIMMEL TOPS LETTERMAN IN NEW TIME SLOT: Jimmy Kimmel Live made its debut in the 11:35 PM ET timeslot on Tuesday (January 8th) and pulled in enough viewers to top David Letterman. Kimmel’s ratings were solid but not enough to take down Jay Leno.

JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT JOINS ‘SIN CITY’ SEQUEL: Joseph Gordon-Levitt has signed on for a starring role in Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. Accepting this role has forced the actor to reject the lead in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

TINA FEY IN TALKS FOR NEW MUPPETS MOVIE: Tina Fey is being courted to join Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell in the sequel to The Muppets. Fey would reportedly play a Russian prison guard if the deal goes through.

MILLENNIUM FILMS ORDERS MORE ‘TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE’: Now that the 3D installment of Texas Chainsaw Massacre earned enough money to overtake The Hobbit at the box office, Millennium films has ordered a another sequel into production. Filming will begin later this year in Louisiana.

WARNER BROS. CHANGES RELEASE DATE FOR ‘BEAUTIFUL CREATURES’: Warner Bros. has pushed the release date for Beautiful Creatures back one day so that it will open in theaters on Valentine’s Day. The film is based on the best-selling fantasy series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.

ROSIE O’DONNELL WELCOMES BABY GIRL: Rosie O’Donnell and wife Michelle Rounds have adopted a baby girl who was born on January 5th. Baby Dakota is Rosie’s fifth child.

MARK WAHLBERG DOES PHILLY TRAFFIC AND WEATHER REPORT: Mark Wahlberg and director Allen Hughes took over anchoring the traffic and weather reports for Good Day Philadelphia on Wednesday. The duo stopped by to promote their new film Broken City.

SKEET ULRICH OWES BIG IN CHILD SUPPORT: Scream actor Skeet Ulrich appeared in court on Tuesday (January 8th) for a contempt hearing because he allegedly owes thousands of dollars in child support. According to Radar Online, the actor owes $284,861.84 and a hearing has been set for February 22.

ANDERSON COOPER WILL NOT POSE FOR PLAYGIRL: Anderson Cooper took some time on his talk show to announce that rumors of him posing for Playgirl magazine are untrue. He believes the rumors were started by people at the magazine to boost publicity.

A noticeably somber Bethenny Frankel sat down with Ellen DeGeneres less than a week after filing from divorce from Jason Hoppy. The interview immediately addressed everything that Bethenny has been going through and it wasn’t long before Frankel let out the emotions that she was trying to hold back during the chat.

Ellen assured the audience that Bethenny had the option of canceling her appearance at but bravely chose to do the sit-down anyway. Bethenny acknowledged that being on a talk show was not exactly what she wanted to be doing at the time but explained, “I can’t just only be on reality TV and show everything when it’s the fairy princess fairytale and then not take my hits when I have to.”

  • Bethenny also apologized to her fans saying she feels like a failure and that she let them down.

CBS is completely sold out of air time for Super Bowl 47. Network president Leslie Moonves confirmed the news to the New York Times on Tuesday (January 8th) and added that some exceptions will be made for companies willing to pay more than usual for their spots.

The Times also reports that this year has been record-breaking with some commercial spots selling for over $4 million. Ad agency executives estimate that CBS got an average of $3.7 to $3.8 million for every 30 seconds of airtime.
