AMY POEHLER SIGNS A BOOK DEAL: Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler is working on a book being published in 2014 by It Books. According to the publisher, “The book is an illustrated, non-linear diary full of humor and honesty and brimming with true stories, fictional anecdotes and life lessons, the book will be a unique and engaging experience from one of today’s most talented and beloved stars”
’30 ROCK’ BECOMING AN ICE CREAM FLAVOR: Ben & Jerry’s has announced plans to commemorate the departing sitcom 30 Rock with an ice cream flavor inspired by the show. The flavor was originally slated to hit stores in the spring but has been moved up to coincide with the show’s series finale which airs this week.
‘MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE’ STARS REUNITING: Bryan Cranston is reuniting with his Malcolm in the Middle co-star Jane Kaczmarek on Breaking Bad. Jane tweeted, “Yes, it’s true… I will indeed be on Breaking Bad. Can’t wait for you all to see it. Congrats to Bryan Cranston for his win (at the Screen Actors Guild Awards)”
BIG ANG TO MAKE BROADWAY DEBUT: Mob Wives’ Big Ang revealed to Wendy Williams that she is prepping for her theater debut in My Big, Gay Italian Wedding. She told Wendy, “It’s my friend Anthony’s play and I am very big with the gays. I love them, they love me and I’m Italian, gotta be in it. I’m going to be the caterer.”
NBC ORDERS SEQUEL TO ‘ALICE IN WONDERLAND’: NBC has given the green light to the drama pilot Wonderland. The show is set in a modern-day Wonderland and centers on Alice and a new character named Clara.
LINDSAY LOHAN IS TOO SICK TO ATTEND COURT HEARING: Lindsay Lohan’s new lawyer Mark Heller submitted a doctor’s note to an L.A. court saying that Lindsay was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection on Saturday (January 26th) and will not be able to appear before the judge on January 30th. Strangely enough, Lindsay was photographed smoking cigarettes during an all-day shopping spree in New York on the same day she was supposedly diagnosed.
JASON LONDON ARRESTED IN ARIZONA: Dazed and Confused actor Jason London was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona on Sunday morning after being beaten to a pulp outside of a bar where allegedly assaulted a bouncer. On his way to the station, Jason reportedly cursed out the officers and pooped his pants out of revenge.
‘JACKASS’ STAR’S MUSIC VIDEO REMOVED FROM YOUTUBE: Jackass star Bam Margera has been attempting to launch a rap career but his latest music video has been censored by YouTube and removed from the site. The video apparently contains incredibly graphic images of naked people including shots of Margera trying to hydrate himself by drinking his own urine.
CRISS ANGEL OFFERING REWARD FOR STOLEN DOG: Magician Criss Angel is offering a reward of $5,000 for the return of his stolen Yorkshire Terrier. The dog was stolen from a Las Vegas pet store along with three other pups.
JIM CARREY AND STEVEN TYLER’S PDA: Jim Carrey and Steven Tyler had a bit of fun with the paparazzi as they were leaving Madeo restaurant in West Hollywood on Saturday (January 26th.) Carrey and the Aerosmith front man walked hand in hand past the awaiting photographers seemingly poking fun at the tabloids that will eventually run the photos and ignite rumors.
Hedge funder Jeremy Frommer hit the jackpot when he decided to buy up some unclaimed storage lockers in Englewood, New Jersey. Frommer ended up with a treasure trove of scandalous celebrity artifacts in the unit that belonged to the late Penthouse publisher Bob Guccione.
According Page Six, the space housed unpublished nude photos of Madonna, Lauren Hutton, and a young Arnold Schwarzenegger allegedly engaged in a sex act. Jeremy also found correspondence between Guccione and people like Dick Cheney, the Unabomber, and a woman who claimed to be Fidel Castro’s lover. There were also personal files detailing the publisher’s decision to print the nude photos of Vanessa Williams which ended up costing her the Miss America crown.
- Frommer has started to buy up more of Guccione’s estate and has partnered with producer Rick Schwartz in order to preserve the deceased publisher’s legacy and launch a potential exhibition.
- Guccione died in 2010.
Twilight actress Dakota Fanning admits that she was not adventurous enough to skinny dip with her Night Moves co-stars Peter Sarsgaard and Jesse Eisenberg. 18-year-old Fanning described the event to Glamour magazine saying she was just too embarrassed to do anything but watch.
The trio went to check out Oregon’s famous hot springs while taking a break from filming and an employee informed them that clothing was optional after 8pm. Dakota explained, “So we went in there, and everyone was so comfortable being naked. They were so free. I just sat there and begged to go back to the hotel… It was really fun. I just wanted to have a bathing suit on.” The young actress acknowledges that she is a reserved person but sometimes she wishes she could be more like her sister Elle who “just lives life like no one is watching her.”
