JANE LYNCH TO HOST ‘HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT’: Glee’s Jane Lynch has signed on to host NBC’s game show Hollywood Game Night which pits celebrities against regular contestants. The show was created by Will & Grace’s Sean Hayes.
PRINCE MICHAEL JACKSON TO MAKE ACTING DEBUT: Prince Michael Jackson has landed a role to appear on the season finale of CW’s 90210. The 16-year-old will play a trauma victim who bonds with Jessica Stroup’s character Silver.
TLC RENEWS ‘BREAKING AMISH’: TLC has announced plans to bring Breaking Amish back for a second season in May. The new season will feature the same cast relocated from New York to Florida.
RICHARD GERE REVEALS WHY HE APPEARED IN ‘MOVIE 43’: Richard Gere revealed to Britain’s Guardian what got him involved in the critically-panned Peter Farrelly film Movie 43. Gere told the paper, “The guy who put it together, Wessler, is the godfather of my stepdaughter, a close friend of my wife. He said: ‘Please would you spend half a day on the movie?’ He showed me the skit and it was quite an innocuous thing, so I did it. I haven’t even thought about it since, to tell you the truth. Never will see it.”
JAMIE BELL TO STAR IN AMC PILOT: Billy Elliot star Jamie Bell has signed on to play the lead in the new AMC period drama Turn. Jamie will play a New York farmer who bands together with friends to form a group of spies.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE TALKS ABOUT INJURED KRISTEN STEWART: Daniel Radcliffe talked about presenting with a limping Kristen Stewart while partying at the Governors Ball after Sunday’s (February 24th) Oscars. He said, “I felt so bad. I just wanted to pick her up, put her in my arms and carry her onto the stage. I probably would have dropped her and opened her wound again.”
DID RENEE ZELLWEGER GET BOTOX?: Renee Zellweger’s appearance at the Oscars has caused some speculation that she has dabbled in Botox to maintain a youthful look. Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson tweeted, “Renee Zellweger arrives as a Ghost of Christmas Future for Jennifer Lawrence, bearing warning about Botox. #Oscars2013″
‘TRUE BLOOD’ ACTOR REJECTED FROM OSCAR PARTY: True Blood’s Ryan Kwanten was rejected from entering an Oscar party at Craig’s in Hollywood on Sunday even after calling a friend to vouch for him over the phone. Bouncers insisted that Ryan and his friend were not on the list even though the pair were supposed to be guests of George Clooney and Stacy Keibler.
ANDY SAMBERG IS ENGAGED: SNL alum Andy Samberg is engaged to singer songwriter Joanna Newsom. They have been together for five years and recently attended the Independent Spirit Awards together.
BEN AFFLECK TOOK HIS DAUGHTER TO A SPELLING BEE BEFORE THE OSCARS: Jennifer Garner revealed to E! News that Ben Affleck took their daughter to a spelling bee only a few short hours before the Academy Awards. She said, “It was mayhem at our house. Our daughter was in a spelling bee at the local recreation center. I was in hair and make-up so I couldn’t take her, so Ben took her in the middle of everything. She won! Our family has already had a great day, so congratulations to our sweetie. And then she had a basketball game. Life goes on. No one really cares! It’s just all about trying to keep the dogs and kids from getting stuff on the stuff.”
Best Actress Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence should have been all smiles after winning her category at Sunday’s (February 25th) Academy Awards but photographers backstage caught a much different reaction than expected. As Jennifer made her way to the press room stage to take questions, she was seen scowling at someone off stage and giving them the middle finger.
It is unclear what occurred or who exactly rubbed the 22-year-old star the wrong way but Digital Spy is suggesting that it was directed at a photographer. Lawrence was also overheard yelling and swearing after her win but it is believed to have all been in fun and not directed at anyone specifically.
