JUDE LAW EXITS ‘JANE GOT A GUN’: Jude Law has backed out of starring in the Western drama Jane Got A Gun in the wake of news that director Lynne Ramsay would no longer be a part of the project. Natalie Portman is still attached to the lead female role.

CIVIL RIGHTS GROUP WANTS ‘COPS’ CANCELLED: Civil rights group ColorOfChange has asked Fox not to renew Cops and is asking advertisers to no longer sponsor the long-running unscripted series. The group believes that the show glosses over issues like police misconduct and released a statement saying, “Although marketed as unbiased, Cops actually offers a highly filtered version of crime and the criminal justice system — a ‘reality’ where the police are always competent, crime-solving heroes and where the bad boys always get caught.”

BET SECURES SYNDICATION RIGHTS TO CLASSIC SITCOMS: BET has announced plans to begin airing episodes of classic 90’s sitcoms The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Family Matters, Martin, The Jamie Foxx Show, and The Wayans Bros. BET is following in the footsteps of fellow Viacom-owned station Teen Nick which began airing hit 90’s shows like Doug and Clarissa Explains It All two years ago.

TWITTER CAN PROVIDE INSIGHT TO TV RATINGS: A new study from Nielsen and SocialGuide reveals that networks could get a pretty good indication of what to expect for ratings on their shows by monitoring Twitter. The study states that about 32 million people in the U.S. tweeted about TV shows last year and that their messages can provide a statistically meaningful early warning about whether a show is catching on or not.

CHRISTINA APPLEGATE IN TALKS FOR ‘VACATION’ REBOOT: Former Up All Night star Christina Applegate is in final negotiations to star opposite Ed Helms in a reboot of the successful National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise. Helms plays an adult version of Rusty Griswold and Applegate would be playing his strong-willed wife who might be losing interest in him.

IS REBEL WILSON IN TALKS FOR ‘THE HUNGER GAMES?: Rebel Wilson chatted with Buzzfeed about her upcoming hosting gig for the MTV Movie Awards and revealed that she is a huge fan of The Hunger Games. When asked if we could ever see her in a role in the films she responded, “Um, seriously, I have had a meeting about being in The Hunger Games. Yes. It was one of the people in the capitol. That’s all I’ll say. There aren’t a lot of roles open, because they’ve all already been cast, but that would be awesome. I’d love to be in The Hunger Games.”

RYAN GOSLING IS TAKING A BREAK FROM ACTING: Ryan Gosling has announced that he plans to take a step back from the spotlight. He told the Associated Press, “I’ve been doing it too much. I’ve lost perspective on what I’m doing. I think it’s good for me to take a break and reassess why I’m doing it and how I’m doing it. And I think this is probably a good way to learn about that. I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does.”

DENISE RICHARDS IS GETTING THREATS AFTER CHARLIE SHEEN’S TWITTER RANT: Radar Online is reporting that Denise Richards has been receiving threatening letters ever since Charlie Sheen publicly announced a vendetta against his daughters’ former school. An insider told the website that the letters are believed to be from parents whose children still attend the school and they are being turned over to law enforcement.

LEA MICHELLE SPOTTED WEARING BOYFRIEND BLING: Glee star Lea Michelle was photographed leaving Barneys New York in L.A. wearing a chain spelling out the first name of her boyfriend Cory Monteith. The couple recently returned to L.A. from a trip to Cory’s native Canada for a wedding in Vancouver.

DAVID BECKHAM SWARMED BY FANS IN CHINA: David Beckham was welcomed to China by hoards of fans waiting for him at the Beijing Capital International Airport on Wednesday (March 20th.) Beckham was recently named China’s first-ever ambassador for soccer in an effort to boost the sport’s popularity in the country.


Mad Men star Jon Hamm has long been tabloid fodder for his tight fitting outfits that tend to accentuate his bulge. In 2010, the revelation that he doesn’t like to wear underwear underneath his costumes for the AMC show caught the attention of network executives who allegedly have now asked him to stop going commando.

The New York Daily News is reporting that Jon was politely instructed to wear underwear while filming scenes for the upcoming sixth season of the show. Sources told the newspaper that execs are concerned that Jon’s “display” might be overshadowing the series’ top-notch acting and superb storytelling that has kept the show going for six seasons.

  • The source also claims that promotional photos for the first two seasons of the show had to be photo-shopped to conceal his privates before being sent out to the press.


Former Gilmore Girl star Alexis Bledel is engaged to boyfriend Vincent Kartheiser. The couple met while Alexis was guest starring on AMC’s Mad Men playing an unhappy housewife who seduces Vincent’s character.

Though there are few details about the engagement, a source told Us Weekly that he popped the question a few weeks ago and that the ring is quite large. This will be the first marriage for both actors.

  • Alexis previously dated Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia for over three years and Vincent has been linked to actress Rachael Leigh Cook.
