BRADLEY COOPER JOINS ‘JANE GOT A GUN': Bradley Cooper has reportedly signed on to star opposite Natalie Portman in the western Jane Got A Gun. Bradley’s role was previously filled by Jude Law who left the project along with the film’s original director Lynne Ramsey.
A&E RENEWS ‘BATES MOTEL': A&E has granted a second season to Psycho prequel series Bates Motel starring Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga. The show’s premiere episode brought in 3 million viewers which makes it the most-watched drama debut in the network’s history.
‘MAD MEN’ DEBUTS TO LOWER RATINGS: The ratings for the sixth season premiere of AMC’s Mad Men were solid at 3.4 million but slightly down from the fifth season premiere. Despite pulling in good numbers, the ratings pale in comparison to The Walking Dead which earned a record-breaking 12.4 million viewers for its third season finale.
SERIES-LOW RATINGS FOR ‘SMASH': NBC’s decision to move Smash to Saturday night may prove to be the show’s kiss of death. Even with big name guest star Liza Minnelli making her debut on the theatrical series, it still managed to score its lowest ratings ever with just 1.88 million viewers for the episode which aired on April 6th.
DIANE KRUGER SIGNS ON TO REPRESENT CHANEL SKINCARE: Chanel has tapped actress Diane Kruger to be the face of their skincare ad campaign. The campaign will be unveiled later this year.
MERYL STREEP ON MARGARET THATCHER’S DEATH: Meryl Streep has released a statement on the death of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher whom she portrayed in 2011’s The Iron Lady. Streep said, “Margaret Thatcher was a pioneer, willingly or unwillingly, for the role of women in politics.” She continued, “But to me she was a figure of awe for her personal strength and grit. To have come up, legitimately, through the ranks of the British political system, class bound and gender phobic as it was, in the time that she did and the way that she did, was a formidable achievement.”
SARA GILBERT IS ENGAGED: The Talk host Sara Gilbert is engaged to her girlfriend, 4 Non Blondes singer Linda Perry. Sara announced that Linda arranged for musicians to play The Cure’s “Love Song” while the couple had a day at the park and Perry sported five different t-shirts that read “Will You Marry Me?” word by word.
MARTHA STEWART REVEALS HER POP CULTURE OBSESSIONS: Martha Stewart was promoting her new PBS shows to Entertainment Weekly and revealed some of her pop culture obsessions while she’s whipping up goodies in the kitchen. She told the magazine, “I have a big TV in my kitchen, so I can do canning or make jam. That takes hours and hours, and I can watch Homeland, all 13 episodes at once.” She also admitted, “I was into Ryan Gosling for quite a while. I watched every one of his movies.”
JENNA DEWAN-TATUM SAYS SHE AND CHANNING WILL ‘FIGURE OUT’ PARENTHOOD: Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Channing Tatum have not really made a plan as to what kind of parents they plan to be. Jenna told Glamour magazine, “Who knows what kind of parents we’ll be? We have two dogs, so we’ve had some practice! And as soon as this baby comes into the world, Channing and I will figure it out real fast.”
ALEC BALDWIN’S STALKER REJECTS PLEA DEAL: Alec Baldwin’s alleged stalker, Genevieve Sabourin, has rejected a plea deal that would have resulted in no jail time and no criminal record for her arrest in April 2012 for supposedly following Alec and sending him emails. She explained to reporters, “I think it’s a very offensive offer. I’ve spent my retirement plan on travel and legal expenses. My house is gone. I’m homeless right now.” She hopes that a jury acquittal will help her get her life back.
Halle Berry On Her Pregnancy
Halle Berry has said that getting pregnant is the “biggest surprise of her life.” In an interview with Us Weekly, the 46-year-old actress said, “I feel fantastic. This has been the biggest surprise of my life to tell you the truth. I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.”

The Avengers star Scarlett Johansson is Marie Claire‘s May cover girl and she wants everyone to know that jealousy is not an attractive quality in a man. The 28-year-old spends part of her interview discussing her threshold for controlling men.
Scarlett explains, “I don’t like jealous behavior. I don’t mind an occasional check-in, but when somebody is passive-aggressively jealous, it’s really unattractive because it shows a sort of insecurity.” She continues, “Oh, controlling behavior is awful. Nobody’s going to say they love that.”
