Police Searches For Ossipee Man

WMUR SAYS OSSIPEE POLICE ARE SEARCHING FOR A 29-YEAR-OLD OSSIPEE MAN AFTER THE MAN ESCAPED SUNDAY MORNING DURING A SECURITY CHECK AT A CAMPER ON CHICKVILLE RD. IN OSSIPEE.

THE WEBSITE SAYS JAMES BROOKS – WHO IS NOT CONSIDERED TO BE ARMED OR DANGEROUS – ESCAPED ON FOOT AFTER OFFICERS APPROACHED THE CAMPER AROUND 7:45 A.M. AND HEARD WHAT THEY THOUGHT WAS A WEAPON BEING LOADED.

WMUR DOT COM SAYS THE OFFICERS RETREATED TO THEIR CRUISER AND CALLED FOR BACKUP BUT K-9 DOGS WERE UNABLE TO FIND BROOKS.

POLICE TOLD WMUR THEY WOULD BE PATROLLING THE AREA SUNDAY – THEY’RE ASKING ANYONE WHO HAS SEEN BROOKS TO CALL THEM AT (603) 539-2011.
