LINDSAY LOHAN PAYS LEGAL DEBT: TMZ is reporting that Lindsay Lohan has paid off the $150,000 debt she owed her former lawyer Shawn Holley. The payment was made to assure Holley she would be paid for her services if she signed on to represent Lindsay again in the future.
KENDALL JENNER ISN’T BOTHERED BY STORIES ABOUT HER PARENTS: 17-year-old Kendall Jenner revealed to the New York Times that she doesn’t let the gossip about Kris and Bruce Jenner’s marital troubles get to her. She told the newspaper, “I don’t feel anything about it. It doesn’t hurt me. It’s not something that gets to me. I know the truth. I live with my parents, and I know what’s going on.”
NICKELODEON STAR ARRESTED FOR DUI: Cody Longo, star of Nickelodeon’s Hollywood Heights, was arrested on Thursday (June 6th) morning for driving drunk and flashing his high beams at other vehicles. The 25-year-old’s blood alcohol level was reportedly more than twice the legal limit. A rep for the actor told TMZ, “This was an unfortunate misunderstanding. Cody takes it very seriously as his focus is music and acting.”
JOHN MALKOVICH SAVES A LIFE: John Malkovich became a hero on Thursday (June 6th) in Toronto after hearing a cry for help and saving the life of a 77-year-old man who fell and gashed his neck open. The 59-year-old actor reportedly rushed to the scene and used his scarf to apply pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding before the man was taken to a nearby hospital.
ERIN BROCKOVICH ARRESTED FOR DRUNK DRIVING: Erin Brockovich, who was played by Julia Roberts in a movie about her life, was arrested in Las Vegas on Friday (June 7th) for allegedly operating a boat while under the influence. A warden with the Nevada Department of Wildlife told TMZ that he noticed Erin struggling to dock her boat in Lake Mead and observed that she was “exhibiting several signs of an intoxicated boater.” Brockovich was taken to Clark County Detention Center where she was reportedly cooperative during the investigation and arrest.
THE ROCK’S TNT SERIES HAS SOLID DEBUT: TNT’s new reality show The Hero hosted by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson raked in 1.5 million viewers during its premiere on Thursday (June 6th.) The action competition had TNT’s best unscripted premiere numbers in the 18-49 demo.
CHRIS LOWELL JOINS ‘VERONICA MARS’ MOVIE: Rob Thomas announced on Saturday (June 8th) that Chris Lowell has signed on to reprise his role of Stosh “Piz” Piznarski in the Veronica Mars big-screen adaptation. The news came only a day after it was revealed that Percy Daggs III, who played Wallace on the original series, also signed on for the movie.
HBO DEVELOPING SCI-FI DRAMA ‘THE SPARK': A new sci-fi drama called The Spark from the creator/executive producer of ABC’s Last Resort is being developed at HBO. The story is set in a world undergoing a technological/industrial revolution in the near future when contacted by a signal from beyond the solar system.
MARVEL WANTS ‘KICK-ASS’ STAR FOR ‘THE AVENGERS 2′: Marvel studios is reportedly trying to woo Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor-Johnson to play Quicksilver in The Avengers 2. Deadline is reporting that Aaron has some scheduling issues which may prevent him from taking the role.
‘HEARTLAND TRUCKING’ BEING DEVELOPED AT SHOWTIME: A scripted drama about the world of truckers in middle America called Heartland Trucking is being developed at Showtime. The show is being written by Walt Whitman Award-winner poet/TV writer Tony Tost.
Paris Jackson Custody Arrangement
A judge has ordered an investigation into the custody of Paris Jackson — just days after she was hospitalized for a suicide attempt. According to E! News, in a court document, Judge Mitchelle Beckloff said that a probate court investigator must prepare an investigation report, “addressing the status of the minor child, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, and recent media reports concerning her welfare.”
The investigator’s report was asked to include any recommendations related to Paris’ health, education and welfare and was requested to only be delivered to the judge.
- Meanwhile, Paris was transferred to UCLA Medical Center on Saturday (June 8th) — ending her 72 hour psychiatric hold.
