HERE ARE SOME UNOFFICIAL ELECTION RESULTS FROM VOTING IN MAINE TUESDAY, JUNE 11, 2013:

IN FRYEBURG, RICHARD EASTMAN WAS ELECTED SELECTMAN, ANNE TRUMBULL AND CHRISTOPHER MATTEI TO THE MSAD 72 SCHOOL BOARD, LINDA CARD ALTERNATE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER.

VOTERS REJECTED DISBANDING THE LOCAL DEPARTMENT, WITH 393 PEOPLE VOTING TO DISBAND AND 513 VOTING AGAINST.

ABOUT 900 PEOPLE TURNED OUT TO VOTE, ABOUT 30 PERCENT OF THE ROUGHLY 2,800 REGISTERED VOTERS.

IN BRIDGTON, KENNETH MURPHY WAS ELECTED SELECTMAN, DONALD COLLINS AND GEORGE PACKARD TO THE PLANNING BOARD, DEE MILLER ALTERNATE PLANNING BOARD MEMBER, WESLEY GORMAN TRUSTEE OF THE WATER DISTRICT AND KAREN ELLER AND DEBRA ALBERT AS DIRECTORS, MSAD 61.

ON THE REFERENDUM QUESTIONS, VOTERS APPROVED QUESTION ONE – TO ENACT A FIREWORKS ORDINANCE – AND QUESTION TWO – TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION WITH REGARD TO THE POSSIBLE TRANSPORT OF TAR SANDS OILS THROUGH MAINE.

QUESTION THREE, THE NON-BINDING QUESTION FOR SELECTMEN TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE PURCHASE AND DEVELOPMENT OF SALMON POINT FROM THE TOWN, WAS DEFEATED.

ALL RESULTS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED UNOFFICIAL UNTIL CERTIFIED BY TOWN CLERKS.
