THE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF CRANMORE MOUNTAIN RESORT IN NORTH CONWAY, BEN WILCOX, HAS BEEN ELECTED AS CHAIRPERSON OF SKI NH, THE STATEWIDE ASSOCIATION THAT REPRESENTS 33 ALPINE AND CROSS COUNTRY RESORTS AND MORE THAN 200 LODGING AND GUEST SERVICE PROPERTIES IN NEW HAMPSHIRE.

SKI NH MARKETING DIRECTOR KARL STONE SAYS OTHER BOARD MEMBERS ELECTED FOR THE 2013-2014 SEASON INCLUDE RICK KELLEY, PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF LOON MOUNTAIN IN LINCOLN; CHRIS ELLMS, DIRECTOR OF SKI OPERATIONS AT BRETTON WOODS SKI AREA; JOHN DEVIVO, GENERAL MANAGER AT CANNON MOUNTAIN IN FRANCONIA; BOB HOYT, PRESIDENT OF PURITY SPRING RESORT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF KING PINE SKI AREA IN EAST MADISON – AND THOM PERKINS, EXEC. DIRECTOR OF JACKSON CROSS COUNTRY IN JACKSON.

SKI NH RECENTLY AWARDED THE H.H. “BILL” WHITNEY AWARD, IN HONOR OF THE FORMER OWNER AND OPERATOR OF BLACK MOUNTAIN SKI AREA IN JACKSON, THE OLDEST SKI AREA IN NEW HAMPSHIRE. THE AWARD WAS PRESENTED AT SKI NH’S ANNUAL MEETING AT KING PINE IN EARLY JUNE, 2013 TO WAYNE AND SALLY PATENAUDE* *OF PATS PEAK SKI AREA IN HENNIKER FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE SKI AND SNOWBOARD INDUSTRY IN NEW HAMPSHIRE.

STONE SAYS PATS PEAK WAS THE FIRST MOUNTAIN IN NEW HAMPSHIRE TO HAVE SNOWMAKING IN THE 1960s – AND WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN GETTING SNOWMAKING SYSTEMS AT OTHER SKI AREAS UP AND RUNNING.

ST. LOUIS BASED PEAK RESORTS SAYS THREE MEMBERS OF ITS COMPANY ARE BEING PROMOTED.

ATTITASH MOUNTAIN RESORT AND WILDCAT MOUNTAIN MARKETING DIRECTOR THOMAS PRINDLE SAYS JOSH BOYD, WHO MOST RECENTLY SERVED AS GENERAL MANAGER OF WILDCAT, HAS BEEN PROMOTED TO PRESIDENT OF THREE SKI AREAS IN OHIO.

BRIAN HEON, WHO PREVIOUSLY SERVED AS LIFT OPERATIONS DIRECTOR AT MOUNT SNOW, WILL TAKE OVER AS THE NEW GENERAL MANAGER AT WILDCAT.

AND BRIDGTON, MAINE NATIVE JOHN LOWELL, WHO HAD BEEN GENERAL MANAGER AT ATTITASH, HAS BEEN PROMOTED TO PRESIDENT OF ATTITASH AND WILDCAT.
