ARTIST MAKES AMANDA BYNES PORTRAIT OUT OF CANDY: 27-year-old artist Jason Mecier was inspired by Amanda Bynes’ Twitter video of herself sucking on sour patch kids to create a portrait of the troubled star made entirely out of the very candy she consuming in the popular clip. He told E! News, “As soon as I saw the title of that video I knew I had to do it. It was too perfect. I actually had to buy 20 pounds of Sour Patch kids because I needed so many more yellow ones for her hair. I think Amanda Bynes is funny. She’s doesn’t act any weirder than Lady Gaga.”

THE ROCK REVEALS HIS DIET FOR ‘HERCULES': Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson tweeted the breakdown of the food that he has been eating to achieve the body to portray Hercules in an upcoming film. The diet includes seven full meals per day which consisting rice, 14 egg whites, vegetables and more than three pounds of meat.

BRAD PITT CANCELS TRIP TO BRAZIL: Brad Pitt was forced to cancel a trip to Brazil to promote World War Z on Monday (June 24th) because of social unrest in the country. The nation has had huge demonstrations lately regarding a slew of issues. Paramount released a statement wishing “respect and goodwill toward the people of Brazil at this time of national unrest.”

MAYIM BIALIK DOESN’T WANT TO FIGHT OVER PARENTING: Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik chatted with OMG! about not wanting to argue with people over parenting choices after she received a lot of criticism for revealing that she breastfed her son at four years old. She told the website, “If I’m talking to girlfriends, if I’m talking to random people, and we’re talking about parenting, I tell them what works for me and why. But a lot of people want to ask me things so that they can fight with me. And just because I’m a public person, who happened to have breastfed and slept with her kids doesn’t mean that I want to fight with you on the street or in the supermarket. So, I think you have to be really careful to understand why people want to know what they want to know.”

‘GIRLS’ ACTOR TIES THE KNOT: Adam Driver from the HBO show Girls married longtime girlfriend Joanne Tucker on June 22nd in a destination wedding. Lena Dunham and boyfriend Jack Antonoff were in attendance.

RACHEL ZOE LAUNCHES FASHION APP: Bravo reality star and stylist Rachel Zoe has launched a new fashion app called Covet Fashion. The game allows fashionistas to style outfits with looks from big name designers. The app will be available for free on iPads, iPhones, and iPods starting in July.

‘DEVIOUS MAIDS’ DEBUTS ON LIFETIME: The Sunday (June 23rd) series premiere of Marc Cherry’s Devious Maids earned 2 million viewers which didn’t quite score as high as the network’s last series debut for The Client List back in April of 2012. Devious Maids was originally developed at ABC during the 2011-2012 season but the network decided to pass on the pilot.

‘ENCYCLOPEDIA BROWN’ MOVIE IN THE WORKS: Warner Bros is developing a movie adaptation of the classic detective book series Encyclopedia Brown. Author Donald J. Sobol wrote 28 books featuring the detective from 1963 until his death in 2012.

PAUL GIAMATTI JOINS ‘DOWNTON ABBEY': Emmy-winning actor Paul Giamatti has inked a deal to join the cast of Downton Abbey as the “playboy brother of Cora.” His character will first appear in the finale of the show’s fourth season which is set to debut in the U.S. on January 5th, 2014.

CREATOR OF ‘FAMILY TIES’ DIES: Gary David Goldberg, the Emmy-winning creator of Family Ties, died on Sunday (June 23rd) of brain cancer. He was 68 years old. Goldberg also worked on Michael J. Fox’s other hit show, Spin City

Paula Deen has cooked up many tasty dishes for the Today show audience but viewers won’t be tuning in to watch her chef skills when she appears on the show this Wednesday (June 26th.) The former Food Network star has agreed to sit down with Matt Lauer after bailing on her scheduled interview with him last week.

Matt announced on Monday’s show (June 24th,) “She has told us she will be here this time.” The topic of discussion is likely to be the $1.2 million lawsuit filed by a former employee accusing Paula and her family of using racial slurs and other offensive behavior at her restaurant in Georgia which ended up costing Deen her job at Food Network last week and is rumored to be causing issues with her deal at QVC as well.

  • Another former employee of Paula’s revealed to Radar Online that he and several other African-American employees at her restaurant were reportedly forced to work at parties at her home and were only compensated with beer and alcohol. He claims that their jobs were threatened if they refused to work the extra gigs.
  • Smithfield Pork Company has announced that they have decided to cut ties with Paula by releasing a statement saying, “Smithfield condemns the use of offensive and discriminatory language and behavior of any kind. We are terminating our partnership with Paula Deen. Smithfield is determined to be an ethical food industry leader and it is important that our values and those our spokespeople are properly aligned.”
  • TMZ caught up with Rev. Al Sharpton who expressed his belief that Paula should be judged on what she is currently doing and not something she may have said 20 years ago.
  • A “We Support Paula Deen” Facebook page has popped on Friday (June 21st) and has already acquired nearly 300,000 likes.
