Berlin Woman Charged In Connection With Fatal Accident

NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE SAY A 47-YEAR-OLD BERLIN WOMAN IS CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED DWI AFTER A FATAL CRASH IN WINDHAM WEDNESDAY NIGHT, JULY 3, 2013.

STAFF SGT. PAUL HUNT OF TROOP B SAYS PAULINE KOCHNIEC WAS DRIVING A CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO SOUTHBOUND IN THE BREAKDOWN LANE OF I-93 WHEN SHE ALLEGEDLY FAILED TO STOP AND HIT THE REAR END OF A STOPPED HONDA ACCORD AROUND 9:45 P.M.

THE IMPACT OF THE CRASH KILLED THE HONDA’S DRIVER, IDENTIFIED AS 44-YEAR-OLD ANGEL GONZALEZ* *OF BOSTON (MASS.) AND SERIOUSLY INJURED THE LEGS OF A PASSENGER, 27-YEAR-OLD ALYSSA JARVIS OF RANDOLPH, VERMONT. ANOTHER PASSENGER, IDENTIFIED AS 32-YEAR-OLD JAMES HENLEY OF LYNN, MASS., WAS NOT HURT.

JARVIS AND KOCHNIEC WERE TAKEN TO DIFFERENT HOSPITALS.

HUNT SAYS ADDITIONAL CHARGES ARE POSSIBLE.
