Cory Monteith

TMZ is reporting that Cory Monteith was supposedly leading two lives before he passed away over the weekend. Sources tell the website that the late Glee star was splitting his time between L.A. and Vancouver so that he could still enjoy the substances that are believed to have been the cause of his death.

The 31-year-old allegedly tried hard to maintain his sobriety around Lea Michele and while working on the set of his Fox show but occasional relapses forced him to check into rehab in April. However, Canadian sources say that Cory reverted back to his old ways whenever he went back home and hung out with the friends who helped fuel his addiction.

  • TMZ claims that Cory’s family became aware of the visits and tried in vain to help but it caused him to become distant.
  • British Columbia Coroners Service has announced that an autopsy and toxicological analysis have revealed that he died from a “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.”
  • The actor’s family have expressed that they don’t want the results of the autopsy to overshadow Cory’s professional and charitable accomplishments.
