Sandra Bullock may have proved her acting ability by beating out Meryl Streep, Gabourey Sidibe, Helen Mirren and Carey Mulligan for the Best Actress Oscar in 2010 for The Blind Side but she recently confessed that she still feels a lot of pressure to prove herself worthy of such an honor. The 49-year-old was promoting her new film Gravity at the Toronto International Film Festival where she discussed being an Academy Award winner.

Sandra revealed to Yahoo!, “What winning an Oscar does do is it makes you realize how hard you have to work to earn it. I didn’t feel worthy of it when I got it, so I thought, ‘Okay, I’m going to spend the rest of my life earning it, but having a really good time in the process as well.’”

  • She also admitted, “I think most people have that out of body experience when they win the Oscar. I had a little newborn at home so my body was already out of its element I think. I still haven’t gotten around to having my moment with it yet. Maybe one day it will come.”
