JAMES FRANCO APOLOGIZES FOR EGGING HIS NEIGHBORS HOUSE: An apology letter has surfaced written by a 14-year-old James Franco to his neighbor after James egged the man’s house. Michael Phillips Moskowitz posted the letter on his men’s shopping site Bureau of Trade. The future star of Spring Breakers wrote, “First of all I will apologize once again for destroying your personal property. I did it out of carelessness not thinking that feelings might be hurt. And valuable time and money wasted. It will never enter my mind to do something like this ever again. Thank you for being so gracious about this whole matter, and not having the police involved. It was very considerate of you to do this for us after we were discourteous to you. I am truly sorry. I hope we can just forget all this and put it behind us. I have learned my lesson.”
BRITTANY SNOW MISTAKEN FOR BRITNEY SPEARS WHILE ACCEPTING AWARD: Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow was preparing to be honored at the Glamour and Investigation Discovery’s Inspire a Difference Awards in New York on Monday night (September 9th) when the president of the organization accidentally referred to her as Britney Spears before listing off Snow’s charitable accomplishments. According to Just Jared, 27-year-old Snow took it in stride and jokingly introduced herself as the pop star before discussing her charity — Love Is Louder. Emily Deschanel and Kristin Chenoweth were also in attendance.
REPORT: WILLIAM AND KATE WANT TO HIRE THE ROYAL NANNY: UK gossip column Sunday People is reporting that Prince William and Kate Middleton are trying to convince the royal nanny, Jessie Webb, to come out of retirement to help take care of Prince George. The 71-year-old took care of William and Harry before Princess Diana let her go. According to the report, Jessie is “sorely tempted to help the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, she’s concerned about having full-time duties again.”
MAYA RUDOLPH GIVES BIRTH: SNL alum Maya Rudolph has given birth to her fourth child. No additional information is currently known about the baby. Maya’s three other kids with director Paul Thomas Anderson are seven-year-old Pearl, three-year-old Lucille, and two-year-old Jack.
JULIA ROBERTS SAYS ‘AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY’ WAS THE BEST ACTING EXPERIENCE: Pretty Woman star Julia Roberts told reporters at the Toronto Film Festival that working on her latest project, August: Osage County, was “the best acting experience of my life.” She added, “I’ve never worked so hard in my life — and I’ve given birth to three children.” The film is based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Tracy Letts and features an all-star cast which includes Julia, Meryl Streep, Abigail Breslin, Juliette Lewis, Ewan McGregor, and Benedict Cumberbatch.
FX TO ADAPT ‘AMERICAN PSYCHO’ INTO A TV SERIES: FX is developing a TV-series sequel to Bret Easton Ellis’ American Psycho. The project will be set years after the book with the serial killer Patrick Bateman in his 50s and taking on a new apprentice. American Psycho was adapted into a movie in 2000 starring Christian Bale and is also currently being developed into a musical in London.
‘BREAKING BAD’ FAN SUES APPLE: A fan who purchased a season pass for Breaking Bad on iTunes is suing Apple in a class action lawsuit alleging that he was “unfairly deceived, misled and taken advantage of by Apple’s promise to deliver something it never intended to provide.” The plaintiff is arguing that the season that was split into two parts should all be part of the fifth season pass that he paid for. He is only seeking $20 in damages but more people who “fell victim” are being invited to join his fight.
‘REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS’ WILL COVER PSYCHIATRIC ISSUES OF KIM RICHARDS’ CHILD: Kim Richards has reportedly decided to allow The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to document the struggles that her family is currently dealing with following one of her children allegedly having some sort of psychiatric meltdown. A source close to the production told Radar Online, “The child will most likely be identified, but not featured on the show. Viewers will see tender moments between Kim and her sister Kyle, as she supports her during this difficult time. Kim is handling the situation well and has stepped up big time. She is absolutely committed to getting her child help, while maintaining her ongoing sobriety.”
TLC HAS RENEWED ‘WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE': TLC has announced plans to bring back Who Do You Think You Are for a second season. 10 one-hour episodes will air in 2014. The series take celebrities through their family history — sometimes revealing unknown secrets from their past. Season one guests included, Christina Applegate, Chelsea Handler, Zoey Deschanel, Kelly Clarkson, and others.
Kristen Stewart Hangs With Royalty For Charity
A Middle Eastern Prince reportedly paid $500,000 to spend 15 minutes with Kristen Stewart. Producer Harvey Weinstein revealed the story to reporters during a discussion following a screening of the concert film 12.12.12 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
According to Gossip Cop, Weinstein explained that the prince approached the concert organizers and offered a sizable donation in exchange for meeting Kristen — who played an active role in raising money for Sandy relief during the show. When both sides finally came to an agreement on how much the royal would pay, the 23-year-old actress accepted the arrangement and allegedly sat for a 15 minute chat.
