LINDSAY LOHAN REUNITES WITH FORMER ASSISTANT: Despite reports that Lindsay Lohan has been trying to keep her “toxic friends” from her life, the rehabbed actress was spotted in NYC on Friday (October 11th) leaving Lure restaurant with former assistant Gavin Doyle — the guy she kicked out of her car after her assault arrest for allegedly punching a “gypsy” at a club. Gavin is also the assistant whom she convinced to say he was driving the car after a car crash in L.A. last year. It is unknown when they started up their friendship again.
LAUREN CONRAD IS ENGAGED: Former MTV reality star Lauren Conrad is engaged to boyfriend William Tell. The 27-year-old announced the happy news on her blog on Sunday (October 13th) by uploading a photo of the ring along with the caption, “I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend. ORLANDO BLOOM IS SELLING HIS ‘BLING RING’ HOUSE: Orlando Bloom has put his house that was robbed by the Bling Ring back in 2009 on the market. He had been renting it out for $16.500 a month but is now reportedly trying to unload it completely. The asking price is $4.5 million and has celebrity neighbors including Ryan Reynolds, Cameron Diaz, and Jason Statham.
ABIGAIL BRESLIN IS THINKING ABOUT COLLEGE: Abigail Breslin may have earned her acting cred after scoring an Oscar nomination for Little Miss Sunshine at nine years old but now at 17 she is considering going for a higher education. The August: Osage County star told ABC News, “I want to stay here in New York, so my top choice is The New School. When I’m at home in New York, I just hang with friends and family and do normal teenage stuff. They keep me pretty grounded. I love just hanging out with them and venting our emotions.” She went on to say, “It’s not like I’m Justin Bieber or something, with like mobs and people chasing me.”
ROSE MCGOWAN IS MARRIED: Jawbreaker star Rose McGowan married artist Davey Detail in a ceremony in L.A. on Saturday (October 12th.) According to Gossip Cop, they exchanged vows in front of a rabbit and 60 guests. The couple first announced their engagement back in July.
MEG RYAN HEADING TO TV: Meg Ryan is getting into business with NBC by executive-producing and starring in a pilot for the network. Ryan’s role is described as a “a sunny, devoted and desperately non-confrontational” single mom who returns to work at her former publishing house where she is supervised by her 30-year-old former intern. This will be the actress’ first major acting gig since 2008.
ED NORTON TO HOST ‘SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE’ FOR THE FIRST TIME: Edward Norton has been tapped to host Saturday Night Live for the first time ever in his career on October 26th. Janelle Monae will be the musical guest. Though he has never officially hosted the show, Norton did make a cameo once in 1999 and again in 2003 during Salma Hayek’s opening monologue.
TWO ‘WALKING DEAD’ CHARACTERS CAST ON AMC SERIES: The people behind AMC’s Walking Dead have cast Josh McDermitt and Michael Cudlitz to fill the roles of two popular characters from the comic series. McDermitt will play former science teacher Dr. Eugene Porter and Cudlitz will play his travel companion Abraham.
MTV ANNOUNCES FOURTH SEASON OF ‘TEEN WOLF’: MTV announced at New York Comic Con that they have renewed Teen Wolf for a fourth season as well as a new chat show called Wolf Watch for viewers to discuss each episode. The second half of the show’s third season is set to premiere on January 6th.
VICTORIA JUSTICE SCORES MTV PILOT: Former Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice has scored the lead role on the new MTV cyber-thriller Eye Candy. The show is based on a best-selling book by RL Stine. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Victoria will play Lindy — a tech genius convinced by her roommate to try online dating when she begins suspecting that one of her potential suitors may be a deadly cyber-stalker.
