KIM KARDASHIAN’S ENGAGEMENT RING SOLD AT AUCTION: A spokesperson for Christie’s auction house has confirmed that Kim Kardashian’s engagement ring from Kris Humphries was sold at auction on Tuesday (October 15th) for $749,000. The spokesperson told E! News, “It bounced between two phone bidders and two bidders in the back of the room. Good participation all around. It was the last item in the morning session.” The sale of the ring was previously estimated to go for between $300,000 and $500,000.

LEA MICHELE ADOPTED A NEW PUPPY: Glee star Lea Michele took to her Twitter account on Tuesday (October 15th) to show off a picture of her new companion — a new dog named Pearl. Lea wrote, “Today I would like to introduce you to Pearl. She’s 8 years old and is my new little love…Welcome Pearl!” The dog appears to be a Pomeranian or Pomeranian mix. MARTHA STEWART GIVES HER TAKE ON GWYNETH’S LIFESTYLE BRAND: Lifestyle guru Martha Stewart recently spoke with Bloomberg TV about Gwyneth Paltrow’s attempt in recent years to enter into the Martha’s territory with her Goop brand. Stewart explained, “I haven’t eaten at Gwyneth’s house, and I have never seen how she lives. But, if she’s authentic, all the better, and I certainly hope she is. She really wants to be part of the lifestyle business. Gwyneth, for example, has a book on the best-seller list. She must be doing something right. She’s a charming, pretty person who has a feeling for lifestyle. She wants to be a lifestyle arbiter — fine. Good.”

MICHAEL FASSBENDER SAYS HIS CAREER HAS HELPED HIM GET GIRLS: X-Men star Michael Fassbender appears in the November issue of GQ where he discusses how his recent career boost has made it a lot easier when talking to women. He tells the magazine, “You become a lot more successful in terms of, like, talking to a girl. She’s all of a sudden more interested in me. I know that, like, three years ago, she would’ve walked away after two sentences left my mouth. I remember I was sitting at this table at this thing, and I was talking to this girl. I was like, ‘God, I am so boring right now.’ But she was like, ‘That’s so interesting!’ I was like, ‘You know what? Five years ago, this would not have been interesting.'”

KATE WINSLET CLEARS UP CUSTODY RUMORS: Kate Winslet covers the November issue of Vogue where she discusses the backlash there has been over the fact that she has children with her previous two husbands and is currently expecting her first child with current hubby, Ned RockNRoll. The Oscar winner tells the magazine, “People go, ‘Oh, my God! Those poor children! They must have gone through so much.’ Says who? They’ve always been with me. MARK WAHLBERG GIVES AN UPDATE ON ‘ENTOURAGE’ MOVIE: TMZ caught up with Mark Wahlberg at LAX on Monday (October 14th) to get an update on the Entourage movie but it doesn’t look like fans should hold their breath. When asked when the cast would finally hit the big screen, the Ted star responded, “As soon as them guys stop being so greedy.” Mark would not specify who he was talking about.

ZOOEY DESCHANEL SELLS TWO TV PROJECTS: Zooey Deschanel and her producing partner Rivka Sophia Rossi have sold two new television projects — one for Fox and another for NBC. Fox’s Freelancers is about a disgraced and newly-single lawyer who’s forced to start his life over at 30 after getting fired from his corporate job. NBC’s And Lies I Tell My Daughter centers on an unconventional mother who isn’t always honest when it comes to her new family.

JOHN LEGUIZAMO’S ‘GHETTO KLOWN’ HEADING TO HBO: HBO will be taping a performance of John Leguizamo’s one-man show Ghetto Klown on November 16th to air as a special on the network next Spring. This is John’s first HBO special in 11 years.

TINA FEY AND AMY POEHLER WILL BE BACK AS HOSTS OF THE GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have ironed out a deal that will have them back as co-hosts of the Golden Globe Awards for the next two years. The dynamic duo will take the stage next on January 12th 2014. NBC’s Paul Telegdy released a statement saying, “Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season. We’re elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years.”

BEN FOSTER CONFIRMED AS LANCE ARMSTRONG IN BIOPIC: It has been confirmed on Deadline that Stephen Frears will be directing Ben Foster in a biopic of disgraced Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong. Chris O’Dowd will co-star as journalist David Walsh. Production is set to begin on October 18th.


Sly Stalone Charges Outrageous Rates For Autographs

Fans who attended New York Comic Con over the weekend had to shell out big money for an autograph and photo op with Sylvester Stallone. According to Gawker.com, a company called Celebrity Authentics arranged for the action star’s appearance where they were charging $395 for just an autograph and $445 to take a photo with him.

A woman selling tickets for the event revealed that the Rambo star was flying in from Bulgaria to attend and added, “This is a very limited opportunity.” There were reportedly only 20 tickets left unsold by mid-afternoon on Sunday (October 13th) although it was unclear how many tickets were available to begin with.

  • Celebrity Authentics also arranged for Sigourney Weaver to appear at the convention. An autograph from Sigourney cost $185 and it was $200 for a photo opp.
  • Other celebrities who attended and had fees for less than $100 included David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, True Blood’s Kristin Bauer, William Shatner, and Patrick Stewart.
