IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A WAY TO CONTRIBUTE YOUR TALENTS, THE ANNUAL NEIGHBOR-TO-NEIGHBOR PROJECT IN NORTH CONWAY CAN USE YOUR HELP TODAY SATURDAY OCT. 26, 2013.

PASTOR TIM ROSER OF THE NATIVITY LUTHERAN CHURCH IN NORTH CONWAY SAYS MORE THAN TWO DOZEN PROJECTS ARE LINED UP WHERE ELDERLY AND ILL PEOPLE NEED HELP TO WEATHERIZE, RAKE LEAVES, STACK WOOD, PAINT AND DO SMAL REPAIRS THAT OTHERWISE WOULD NOT GET DONE.

THE MISSION: TO MAKE HOMES WARM, SAFE AND DRY FOR SENIORS AND OTHERS IN NEED.

VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOME TO MEET AT THE CHURCH NEXT TO THE GIBSON SENIOR CENTER SATURDAY AT 8 A.M. CORDLESS POWER TOOLS, RAKES, BRUSHES, STEP LADDERS AND STAPLE GUNS WILL BE WELCOMED.

SATURDAY IS NATIONAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE BACK DAY. ALTHOUGH POLICE DEPARTMENTS IN CONWAY AND MOULTONBOROUGH HAVE INSTALLED THEIR OWN DRUG TURN-IN BOXES, OTHER TOWNS WILL TAKE IN UNWANTED, OUTDATED OR UNUSED PRESCRIPTION DRUGS SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M. TO 2 P.M.

COLLECTION POINTS IN NEW HAMPSHIRE INCLUDE THE OSSIPEE POLICE DEPT. AT 7 DORE ST., CENTER OSSIPEE – AND THE PLYMOUTH POLICE DEPT. AT 334 MAIN ST.

IN MAINE, PARTICIPATING LOCATIONS INCLUDE FRYEBURG POLICE AT THE RITE AID PHARMACY AT FRYEBURG PLAZA – BRIDGTON POLICE DEPT. AT THE BRIDGTON COMMUNITY CENTER ON DEPOT ST. – AND THE OXFORD COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AT 70 MAIN ST. IN PORTER.
