Conway PD Investigates Robbery

CONWAY POLICE SAY THEY ARE INVESTIGATING A “PERSON OF INTEREST” IN CONNECTION WITH AN ARMED ROBBERY LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT A CONVENIENCE STORE IN CONWAY.

LT. CHRIS PERLEY SAYS OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE FAMILY DOLLAR STORE AT THE SHURFINE PLAZA AT 234 WHITE MOUNTAIN HIGHWAY SHORTLY AFTER 5:20 P.M., WHERE A STORE WORKER REPORTED A WHITE MALE HAD ENTERED THE STORE, DISPLAYED A HANDGUN, PUSHED HER ASIDE AND TAKEN MONEY FROM THE CASH REGISTER.

NO ONE WAS HURT BUT PERLEY SAYS THE SUSPECT IS CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS.

A NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE K-9 TEAM TRACKED THE SUSPECT NORTH TO THE WHITE DEER MOTEL ON ROUTE 16.

POLICE THEN GOT A WARRANT AND SEARCHED A ROOM AT THE MOTEL, WHERE THEY FOUND ITEMS THEY BELIEVE ARE RELATED TO THE ROBBERY.

THE SUSPECT IS DESCRIBED AS BEING 6 FEET TWO INCHES TALL AND THIN, WEARING A GRAY JACKET AND JEANS WITH A BLACK MASK.
