Man Arrested in Conway Home Invasion

A Con­way man says he wishes he’d used lethal force against the stranger who invaded his home on Lock Shop Loop early Sun­day morn­ing. John Cimini was asleep on the couch when it hap­pened, his wife and two chil­dren were asleep in their bed­rooms. He heard a crash and saw a stranger stand­ing in his liv­ing room. The stranger was Irv­ing Day who allegedly threat­ened to kill the fam­ily with a gun. Cimini tells police that when the stranger looked at his wife, he grabbed him, threw him out the front door and shut him out. When police arrived, Day was strug­gling to get back into the home. Day is charged with bur­glary and attempt to com­mit bur­glary. He’s being held in lieu of 50 thou­sand dol­lars cash bail.
