But Willow had wanted this one snake forever. She’d go into the pet store and pick it up and wrap it around her. I’d never touched a snake before, and I put out my hand, and Beauty [mimics the snake slithering up her arm]. I’ve been in love with her ever since. I said to Willow, ‘You did Mommy a big favor. You helped me overcome a fear.'”
DWAYNE ‘THE ROCK’ JOHNSON DISCUSSES POST-DIVORCE DEPRESSION: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson reveals in the new issue of The Hollywood Reporter that he struggled with depression after divorcing his college sweetheart, Dany Garcia, in 2008. He tells the magazine, “Once I manned up and became accountable for the mess I was in, that’s when it all hit me. What kind of dad does this make me? What kind of man will I now become? Failing at marriage and as a husband was a heavy thing, and divorce had that special way of knocking me on my ass.” Dwayne and his ex have a 12-year-old daughter. He is currently dating writer-musician Lauren Hashian.
DID HONEY BOO BOO HIT HER MOTHER?: Radar Online claims that nine-year-old Alana Thompson, AKA Honey Boo Boo, allegedly struck her mother while filming an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. A writer for Salon.com who was in the audience told the website that the interview was edited to cut out her supposedly “hostile” reaction to Jimmy and a party where she apparently hit her mother. The source said, “Up until this point, Fallon had been doing a great job of navigating Alana’s weird behavior, but it was at this moment when he became positively awesome. ‘NEVER hit your mother!’ he exclaimed, in a voice that was serious with just a hint of a joke, and the studio audience erupted in applause. Finally, we thought, someone is addressing this child’s attitude.” The writer described other awkward moments saying, “For example, the friendship bracelet moment seems cute and quick on TV, but in person, it was actually kind of agonizing. It didn’t just happen once, but several times, and the more it was discussed, the more openly hostile Boo Boo became. And in addition to the friendship bracelet crisis, the episode left out some deeply uncomfortable spats between Mama June and Alana. You see it a bit in the broadcast, but Mama June was continually either answering questions on behalf of Boo Boo or mumbling answers to her. The quick wit we’ve come to expect from Honey Boo Boo was nowhere to be seen, but instead it was fed to her by her pageant mom.”

It was sweet to see her watching her mom.” Paltrow attended the show with pal Gavin Rossdale.
Lupita Nyong’o Deals With Fame
Lupita Nyong’o had a quick rise to fame during award season this year thanks to her role in 12 Years a Slave and red carpet fashion but not all of it has been glitz and glamour. The 31-year-old appears in the July issue of Vogue where she discusses how the sudden celebrity has been a bit of a whirlwind.
Lupita says, “It just feels like the entertainment industry exploded into my life. People who seemed so distant all of a sudden were right in front of me and recognizing me — before I recognized them!” She goes on to describe one of her earlier experiences with the paparazzi after arriving at the airport saying, “For a split second I looked behind me to see who they were flashing at — and it was me! That was, I think, the beginning of the end of my anonymity.”
- The Oscar-winner also reflects on surviving her first award season — telling the magazine, “Everyone said, ‘Brace yourself, Lupita! Keep a granola bar in that clutch of yours!’ I didn’t really understand what they meant, and it was only once it was past that I realized that my body had been holding on by a thread to get through this very intense experience. Nothing can prepare you for awards season. The red carpet feels like a war zone, except you cannot fly or fight; you just have to stand there and take it.”
Chelsea Handler Headed To Netflix

I’m more excited than I’ve been in a while, and the team at Netflix is the most forward-thinking, alert group I’ve sat down with in ages. No offense to the Shahs Of Sunset.”
- Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, added, “The Internet has disrupted many of the conventions of traditional television and together with Chelsea Handler, Netflix is looking forward to reimagining the late night talk show for the on-demand generation, starting with the late night part…”
