LENA DUNHAM GOES BLONDE: Lena Dunham has dyed her hair platinum blonde. The actress showed off the new look on Instagram with a photo that she captioned, “change is good.” There was some speculation that the hair was actually a wig but she completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge while the platinum bob stayed in place.

NEIL PATRICK HARRIS SETS THE RUMORS STRAIGHT: Neil Patrick Harris took to Instagram on Friday (August 15th) to set the record straight on recent reports that he and fiancĂ© David Burtka have broken up. He posted a family picture with their twins Harper Grace and Gideon Scott and wrote, “I couldn’t be more in love with my family. Any reports to the contrary are woefully mistaken.” Neil also added the hashtag “grateful.”

AZIZ ANSARI HAS A NEW GIRLFRIEND: Aziz Ansari appears to have a better love life than his Parks and Recreation alter ego, Tom Haverford. Sources tell Us Weekly that the comedian is dating chef Courtney McBroom. He recently opened up about the relationship to Billboard saying, “I met her years ago when she was seeing someone. I thought she was really cool. Then I ran into her randomly, and she was single. I’ve kind of settled down. I was the guy eating Skittles and having lots of fun, and then I was like, ‘I need a nice nutritious salad’ — she’s the salad.” The insiders say that they are practically living together.

KYLIE JENNER HAS ANOTHER FENDER BENDER: Kylie Jenner had more trouble on the road last week when she was involved in an accident in her Range Rover. According to TMZ, her brand new car was hit with thousands of thousand worth of damage when another driver swerved into her lane after being cut off. She was previously pulled over for speeding back in January and crashed her SUV into another car last year.

ELIZABETH VARGAS HEADS BACK TO REHAB: 20/20 co-anchor Elizabeth Vargas has gone back to rehab. She released a statement to The Hollywood Reporter saying, “While on vacation this weekend, I decided to return to a recovery center. As so many other recovering alcoholics know, overcoming the disease can be a long and incredibly difficult process.” She added, “I feel I have let myself, my co-workers and most importantly my family down, and for that I am ashamed and sorry. I am committed to battling and addressing this debilitating disease and want to thank everyone who has offered their unwavering support during this trying time.”

OPRAH WINFREY SUED BY PRODUCTION COMPANY: Oprah Winfrey is being sued over trademark issues regarding the title of a new special airing on OWN called Wingmen. A company called Rags to Rick Productions puts out a show titled Wing-Men which involves a similar premise of the operation of a chicken wing business. According to the lawsuit, ” OWN’s use of the title WINGMEN for the OWN Program, and use of the WINGMEN mark to promote same, is likely to cause confusion, mistake or deception among members of the public given that both the OWN Program and the Productions Program Series are programs featuring the antics of entrepreneurs in the chicken wing business.” They are hoping a judge will grant an injunction.

HEATHER GRAHAM DROPS OUT OF PLAY: Heather Graham has chosen to step off the stage and get behind the camera. The Flowers in the Attic star has dropped out of her role in the new play, The Money Shot, so that she can work on her film project, Half Magic. The play was initially scheduled to start performances on September 4th. Heather wrote and will direct and star in Half Magic.

CREATIVE EMMY AWARDS GIVEN OUT: The 2014 Creative Arts Emmys were given out on Saturday night (August 16th) at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. HBO nabbed the most wins with 15. NBC earned 10 wins. An edited version of the ceremony will be airing on FXX on Sunday, August 24th.

PAUL GIAMATTI JOINS NWA FILM: Paul Giamatti has been cast in the NWA biopic, Straight Outta Compton. He will be playing the group’s manager, Jerry Heller. Universal has announced that the movie will hit theaters on August 14th, 2015.

GEORGE R.R. MARTIN ADMITS THAT FANS KNOW ‘GAME OF THRONES’ ENDING: George R.R. Martin has admitted that many dedicated fans have already figured out the ending he has planned for Game of Thrones. He revealed to a crowd at the recent Edinburgh International Literary Festival, “So many readers were reading the books with so much attention that they were throwing up some theories and while some of those theories were amusing bulls**t and creative, some of the theories are right. At least one or two readers had put together the extremely subtle and obscure clues that I’d planted in the books and came to the right solution.” The author added, “So what do I do then? Do I change it? I wrestled with that issue and I came to the conclusion that changing it would be a disaster, because the clues were there. You can’t do that, so I’m just going to go ahead.”

 

Chris Pratt Discusses Poor Past

Chris Pratt’s career may be on a major upswing now but that was far from the case early on. He took to Facebook on Friday (August 15th) to share a photo of the van that was his home before his acting career started to take off.

The Guardians of the Galaxy actor wrote, “Can’t believe I found this picture!!! That is the van I lived in!!! In my hand is the script for the movie that got me out of Maui. Crazy.” Chris opened up about his experience living in the vehicle last month to The Independent staying, “It’s a pretty awesome place to be homeless. It would be different if I lived on the streets of Chicago and ate garbage from a dumpster.”

  • Pratt’s first film credit was in a short film from back in 2000 called Cursed Part 3.
