The New York Post reports that the former talk show host’s Manhattan penthouse duplex is quietly being shopped around with a $35 million price tag. An insider told the Post of the apartment, “The south-facing co-op in the twin-towered Majestic at West 72nd Street comes with three terraces and dramatic park views. The apartment is a combination of an 18th-floor penthouse that O’Brien bought in 2007 for about $10 million and the combined-unit residence that he and his wife, Liza, already owned on the 17th floor. ANNE HATHAWAY REJECTED CATHOLIC CHURCH OVER GAY ISSUES: Anne Hathaway revealed that she and her parents left the Catholic Church because of the religion’s views on gay issues. The actress, whose brother is gay, told GQ magazine that, “The whole family converted to Episcopalianism after my elder brother came out. Why should I support an organization that has a limited view of my beloved brother?”

RACHEL BILSON IS NOT PREGNANT: Rachel Bilson and fiance Hayden Christensen are not expecting a baby. She said of the project, “Each day the thought crosses my mind that when they get older, my kids are going to look back and think about how they were raised. MICHAEL CHIKLIS TO STAR IN NEW DRAMA: Michael Chiklis is set to star on an upcoming drama pilot for ABC called No Ordinary Family. The Hollywood Reporter announced that the project centers on an American family whose members have special abilities. Chiklis will play the father. The publication added that Chiklis was in demand this pilot season, fielding multiple offers both on the drama and comedy side.

‘LOST’ STAR STAYING IN HAWAII: Lost star Daniel Dae Kim isn’t leaving Hawaii once the ABC hit wraps for good this season. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Kim has landed a lead role on CBS’s Hawaii Five-0 remake, on which he’ll play Detective Chin Ho Kelly, a sidekick role played in the original series by Kam Fong. Kim is the first actor from the Lost’s core cast to book a new series project this pilot season as the mystery drama heads to its May finale.

NEW JUDGE ON ‘ANTM’: Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley is joining the judge’s panel on America’s Next Top Model. The 60-year-old fashion guru told Women’s Wear Daily that he was first approached to join the show eight years ago, but “At that point, I said no because it was the beginning. I was thinking I wanted to see where it goes.” Now, he says, “I felt maybe I could contribute something to it that had not been on the show. The London Independent reports that a 41-year-old Polish man named Marek Daniluk was arrested on suspicion of harassment last week. The paper reports that Daniluk was milling about outside the West End’s Comedy Theatre where Knightley was performing in the play The Misanthrope, when a bystander, concerned by his apparently bizarre behavior, called police. He appeared in court Saturday, where his trial date was set for June 4th.

CARRIE PREJEAN ENGAGED: Scandal-plagued beauty queen Carrie Prejean is engaged. E! reports that NFL player Kyle Boller proposed to the former Miss California on Saturday (February 6th). The two began dating last July in the midst of Prejan’s public controversies, which included anti-same-sex marriage lobbying, alleged sex tapes and a much-talked about showdown with Larry King.

LINDSAY LOHAN THROWS CIGARETTES AT EX? Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson still have a dramatic relationship even though they’re no longer together. In a recent radio interview, Ronson said she was recently kicked out of a club because “a certain somebody” was throwing cigarettes at her all night. When asked if the someone was Lindsay, Ronson responded, “I can only guess.” Ronson also said the two don’t talk a lot anymore.

‘UP’ WINS AT ANNIE AWARDS: Up won top honors at the 37th annual Annie Awards, which recognizes the best film work in animation. Up, which is also in the running for best picture at the Academy Awards, was named Best Animated Film and Best Directing in a Feature. It beat out the likes of Coraline, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Secret of Kells for the top prizes.

ANTHONY HOPKINS REVEALS FACIAL HAIR DISPUTE ON ‘WOLFMAN’ SET: Anthony Hopkins nearly dropped out of The Wolfman after a dispute with studio executives about his facial hair. Starpulse.com reports that Hopkins decided to grow out his facial hair to play Sir John Talbot, the father of the title character played by Benicio del Toro, but Universal executives wanted him clean-shaven. He explained, “They wanted me to shave it off because studio policy is not to have facial hair, which is crazy when you’re doing a film in 19th-century England about a wolfman. I said, ‘Well, the beard stays or I go.’ It got to that point.”

J-WOWW QUITTING SMOKING: Jersey Shore’s J-Woww is quitting smoking. Usmagazine.com reports that the MTV reality star has been spotted puffing on SmokeSticks, an electronic cigarette that doesn’t contain tobacco or cancer-causing carcinogens, but still creates smoke. A subsequent press release stated, “J-WOWW may be trash on the outside, but she certainly isn’t trashing her insides.”

JEFF GORDON EXPECTING BABY NO. 2: Jeff Gordon and his wife are expecting their second child together. FRANCES REID DIES AT 95: Frances Reid, who played Alice Horton on Days of Our Lives, died on Wednesday (February 3rd) at the age of 95. Upon hearing the news, former co-star Allison Sweeney tweeted, “I’m so sad to hear the news about Frances Reid. She was a truly talented actress and we are all lucky and proud to have known her.” Reid’s character on Days was seemingly killed off by the show’s Salem Stalker in 2004, but it turned out to be a hoax and she returned later the same year before leaving for good in 2007.

KATE GOSSELIN RETURNING TO ‘THE VIEW’: Kate Gosselin is returning to The View. The former Jon and Kate Plus 8 mom will be co-hosting the talk show on Thursday, March 11th. In addition to Gosselin, Meghan McCain, Valerie Bertinelli and Victoria Beckham have been confirmed to come on the ABC show as guest co-hosts.

NBC LOSING THE OLYMPICS? NBC might be losing the rights to air the Olympics for the first time in 14 years. PerezHilton.com claims that in the wake of a recent report that NBC is projecting a $250 million loss on this year’s Winter Games in Vancouver, Fox, ESPN, and CBS Corp. and Time Warner Inc. are all planning to bid for the broadcast rights to air the 2014 Winter Games in Russia and 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro.

‘REAL HOUSEWIVES’ COUPLE GETTING BOOTED? One of the long-standing fixtures on The Real Housewives of New York City may be leaving the show. The New York Daily News reports that Alex McCord and her husband Simon aren’t being asked back for the show’s fourth season. A source told the paper, “There are a ton of reasons they aren’t being asked back. Viewers don’t have a positive reaction to them, so they’re easily replaceable at this point.” However, a Bravo rep insisted that “no details have been released about next season.”

CHRISTIAN BALE TO STAR WITH JAVIER BARDEM: Christian Bale and Javier Bardem will reportedly star together in a new project. Variety reports that the actors will headline a film directed by The Thin Red Line’s Terrence Malick. Rachel McAdams and Olga Kurylenko will also be featured although there are no details about the plot.

TMZ.com reports that the owner of the 3,200 square foot house where the cast partied last summer is complying with the high demand for visitors and offering the pad up for $3,500 a night — until May.Once the weather gets warm, the price of a night in the six-bed, three-bathroom house rises to a staggering $6,500.

LEIF GARRETT ARRESTED: Former teen idol Leif Garrett was arrested on Monday (February 1st) after police approached him on a subway platform in Los Angeles because he was exhibiting “pronounced symptoms” of drug dependency, such as “shaking and sweating.” ABC News reports that a subsequent search revealed that Garrett was in possession of heroin. He was released on bail on Wednesday and is due back in court on February 24 to face charges in the case. The 48-year-old was arrested for possession of heroin in 2006 and sentenced to 90 days in jail after opting out of drug treatment.

KIM KARDASHIAN GRANTED PERMANENT RESTRAINING ORDER: Kim Kardashian was granted a permanent restraining order on Wednesday against an alleged stalker named Dennis Shaun Bowman. TMZ.com report that neither party appeared in court, but a judge agreed to extend a temporary restraining order — put into effect after Bowman kept showing up at her appearances in the L.A. area acting bizarrely — until 2013.

SIMON MONJACK CANCELS BRITTANY MURPHY EVENT: Simon Monjack has canceled the Brittany Murphy Foundation fundraiser amid a flurry of criticism about the event. After it was reported that the late actress’s husband was seeking $1,000 donations to attend the party, he announced it was postponed — reportedly because of a family illness.

RANDY JACKSON SUED: Randy Jackson and MTV are being sued by a man named Dwight McGhee who claims they ripped off his idea for a reality show about a dance crew. TMZ.com reports that McGhee claims to have pitched “International Breakerz League” to MTV back in 2004, which he claims it is “uncannily similar” to America’s Best Dance Crew. He’s seeking $2 million.

It was reported this week that CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric could be facing a potential pay cut due to the sluggish economy and low ratings. But Sean McManus, president of CBS News and Sports, tells The Politico, “I have not had any thought to change Katie’s role, Katie’s salary, anything to do with it.”

Still, Couric makes a hefty salary — more than $14 million a year, so with looming CBS layoffs in the works, rumor has it that CBS boss Les Moonves is mulling over scaling it back. THE SUN SAYS THE BOARD’S VOTE L AST WEEK FOLLOWED APPROVAL IN MID-DECEMBER BY THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT TO ALLOW THE DEVELOPER TO BUILD MORE UNITS ON THE NEARLY 3-ACRE LOT THAN WOULD NORMALLY BE ALLOWED.
