GERARD BUTLER RECREATES MICHALE JACKSON SCENE: Gerard Butler paid homage to Michael Jackson on Tuesday (November 17th), pretending to dangle a fake baby out of his London hotel room. E! reports that Butler’s “baby” was actually just a plant wrapped in a towel but it’s expected he was aiming to recreate Jackson’s infamous 2002 scene in Berlin. COPS REPORTEDLY CALLED OVER PARIS HILTON ARGUMENT: Paris Hilton and boyfriend Doug Reinhardt reportedly got into a drunken argument early Wednesday (November 18th) morning. PerezHilton.com reports that police responded to a call regarding “drunk people arguing” after a witness saw Hilton screaming at Reinhardt outside a residence. After Reinhardt got out of his car, the two supposed began shoving each other, but went back inside after police confronted them at the scene. Hilton denied the story, telling TMZ.com, “”Doug and I were in bed, sound asleep, when Doug’s houseguests from hell got into an argument. We had nothing to do with it. Doug told the LAPD that his guests’ fight was over and that we had nothing to do with it.”
ANDREW LLYOD WEBBER HOSPITALIZED: Andrew Llyod Webber was hospitalized earlier this week after developing an infection following surgery relating to his battle with prostate cancer. A statement on the famed composer’s website read, “He has been advised that while the operation was entirely successful, he has developed a postoperative ‘chronic infection’ which needs immediate treatment. He still hopes to be back at work in the New Year.
THOUSANDS OF ‘NEW MOON’ SCREENINGS SELLING: Over 2,000 screenings of New Moon have reportedly sold out. A spokesperson for MovieTickets.com said that 2,150 showings of the film are at capacity, adding that the film is “accounting for 90 percent of all ticket sales.”
WILL FERRELL DEEMED HOLLYWOOD’S MOST OVERPAID STAR: Will Ferrell is Hollywood’s most overpaid star, according to Forbes magazine. Using a formula that calculated the actor’s estimated salary on each film, including DVD and TV sales, compared to the film’s revenues from theater box offices and elsewhere, Forbes.com said that for every dollar Ferrell was paid, his films earned an average $3.29. Flops like Land of the Lost, Semi-Pro and Step Brothers are to blame for his decreasing value. Other overpaid stars include Ewan McGregor, Billy Bob Thorton and Eddie Murphy. ‘GOSSIP GIRL’ STAR DESIGNING JEWELRY: Michelle Trachtenberg is getting into the jewelry design business. Usmagazine.com reports that the Gossip Girl actress has signed a deal with luxe handbag designer Coach to design a line of costume jewelry. The designs, which Women’s Wear Daily describes as “tough-girl meets sugary-sweet vibe,” will hit stores next spring.
HEATHER LOCKLEAR DOESN’T HELP ‘MELROSE’ MUCH: Heather Locklear’s hyped return to Melrose Place did little to boost the show’s sagging ratings. The Hollywood Reporter announced that Locklear’s debut earlier this week bumped ratings just 14 percent from its series-low-matching performance a week ago — pulling in a total audience of 1.5 million. The publication noted that the show is still dropping 30 percent from its 90210 lead-in.
After revealing a handwritten agreement detailing the working relationship between Jon Gosselin and his former fling Kate Major, RadarOnline.com is reporting that Major plans on suing the reality dad for breach of that contract. The scrawled agreement stated that Major would act as Gosselin’s personal assistant and handle “some but not all future accounts” in exchange for letting Jon regulate her conversations with the media.Attorney Ben Pietra told Radar, “Kate called me and has retained my services regarding a possible breach of contract between herself and Jon Gosselin. We are keeping our legal options open, but if a breach of contract has occurred, we will be moving forward with a lawsuit.”
Rob Pattinson’s fan interactions have become quite abnormal since shooting to super-fame with the Twilight saga. In separate interviews for New Moon, the actor detailed how he’s bitten members of his adoring public — and gotten them to strip for him.On The Late Show with David Letterman, Pattinson admitted that a male fan asked that the actor bite him, and Rob complied.
While talking to Ellen DeGeneres, Pattinson revealed that on one press line, “You kind of get 10 seconds with each person and you never really say anything and I kind of got bored of saying, ‘Hey, how are you doing?’ A fan] said in her 10 seconds, ‘What can I do to get your attention?’ I was like um, just take your clothes off.”
