PARKER-BRODERICK SURROGATE TESTIFIES: The woman who carried Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s twin girls testified on Thursday (November 19th) in the trial of a police chief is accused of breaking into her home while she was pregnant. Michelle Ross said ultrasound photos and tax information were gone when she returned, and that some items were misplaced, including a plaster cast of her stomach made when pregnancy with her own son. Police Chief Barry Carpenter is accused of breaking into her home in May and then trying to sell items related to the pregnancy to paparazzi.

MARTHA STEWART LOST $1 BILLION IN TRADING SCANDAL: Martha Stewart admitted that her net worth significantly dropped when she was to jail in 2004 on charges lying to authorities. When asked for a dollar figure relating to the incident that stemmed from lying about the 2001 stock sale of ImClone System Inc., Stewart told Nightline, “Probably more than a billion dollars, of course.” She added, “When you are prosecuted in such a way, and a great portion of wealth is dissipated, all I can think so much is what I could have done with all that, and for the good of mankind, and I hope I can continue.”

SUSAN BOYLE ALBUM BREAKS PRE-SALE RECORDS: Susan Boyle’s upcoming debut album has become the largest global CD pre-order in the history of Amazon.com. The retailer declined to give exact sales figure but announced on Thursday (November 19th) that the disc, “I Dreamed a Dream,” surpassed the 2008 record held by “Supermarket Fantasy” from Japanese rock band Mr. Children, 2007’s “Not Too Late” by U.S. singer Norah Jones, and British group Take That’s “Never Forget: The Ultimate Collection” in 2008. The album will be released on November 24th.

PREMIERE DATE ANNOUNCED FOR ‘LOST’: A premiere date has been announced for the sixth and final season of Lost. ABC revealed that the anticipated season will begin on February 2nd at 8 p.m. with a recap episode, followed by a two-hour season premiere.

LAUREN CONRAD WRITING STYLE GUIDE: Lauren Conrad has inked a deal to write a style guide. People magazine reports that the former reality star will unveil fashion tips in Lauren Conrad Style, which will be published by Harper Collins in the fall of 2010. She said in a statement, “I am really excited to write a style guide. I think fashion should be fun and reflective of who you are. When you wear clothes you feel good in, it shows in everything you do. I know this guide will offer simple, practical tips to help anyone look fabulous.”

ANNE HATHAWAY WANTED FOR ‘SPIDER-MAN’: Spider-Man 4 producers are reportedly looking to get Anne Hathaway on-board for a role in the upcoming blockbuster. Deadline.com reports that Hathaway is wanted for a starring role — but she won’t replace Kirsten Dunst.

‘SIMPSON’ CONTEST WINNER ANNOUNCED: The Simpsons has selected a contest winner in its search to create a character for Fox’s long-running animated series. A 52-year-old hospital operations manager from Connecticut named Peggy Black took the prize after dreaming up ladies’ man Ricardo Bomba, who is “someone that all the women love and all the men want to be.” Bomba will be introduced in the January 31st episode featuring guest star Chris Martin of Coldplay. The episode had been mostly completed, with a spot reserved for the contest character.
