FOUR BURGLAR BUNCH SUSPECTS PLEAD NOT GUILTY: Four people accused of burglarizing a string of celebrity homes pleaded not guilty on Wednesday (December 2nd) to charges involving the theft of $3 million in jewelry, designer clothes and other items. 19-year-olds Nicholas Prugo, Diana Tamayo and Courtney Leigh Ames, and 27-year-old Roy Lopez Jr. have all been charged with felony burglary. Prugo, who faces seven counts of first-degree burglary, confessed to detectives about the burglaries and implicated several suspects. According to a Las Vegas search warrant released last month, he placed blame for the thefts on a Las Vegas woman who has not been charged.
ANOTHER ‘BACHELOR’ COUPLE BITES THE DUST: Another Bachelor couple has split. Usmagazine.com reports that after five years together, season six Bachelor Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado have broken up. Delgado was arrested for assaulting Velvick, to whom she was engaged, in 2007 but the couple remained together until now.
TOM BRADY KNOWS UNBORN BABY’S SEX — GISELE DOES NOT: Tom Brady revealed that he found out the sex of his soon-to-be-born baby, but says his wife Gisele is still in the dark. The 32-year-old quarterback said during a radio interview, “I’m really the only one that knows at this point. My dad asked me. I haven’t told him. [Gisele] doesn’t know. It’s a pretty good feeling knowing something that no one else knows.” Brady noted that he’s had to be careful when it comes to saying “he” or “she,” explaining, “I always mix it. I don’t think I’ve ever slipped. I’m very conscious when I’m saying it.”
PAMELA ANDERSON SUED: A construction company is suing Pamela Anderson, claiming the former Baywatch star has refused to hand over their tools and equipment. The Condey Construction Corp, a firm hired to work on Anderson’s Malibu property earlier this year, is demanding she return the supplies and is suing her for $5,000. She’s due to appear in court on December 18th.
COREY FELDMAN DIVORCE GETTING UGLY: Corey Feldman is preparing to fight his estranged wife for joint custody of their five-year-old son Zen. TMZ.com reports that Feldman filed papers at Los Angeles County Superior Court challenging his wife’s petition for full custody. The actor has also asked the court to block Susie’s demand for spousal support.
MARILYN MONROE MOVIE FOR SALE: A home movie showing Marilyn Monroe smoking what appears to be marijuana will reportedly be sold on eBay. Collector Keya Morgan paid $275,000 for the footage, which shows the star puffing on the supposed joint, laughing and drinking wine. The woman who shot the four-minute clip has asked to remain anonymous, only revealing her first name as Gretchen, but has confirmed the cigarette contained marijuana, explaining, “I got (the pot). It was mine. It was just passed around. It was not a party. It was just a get-together. You know, come over and hang out.”
‘DWTS’ EXES DENY DRAMA: Contrary to rumors, Dancing With the Stars pros — and former couple — Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff are not forcing producers to drop one of them before the show’s next season. After reports of the vindictive behavior circulated on the internet, Smirnoff’s rep told EW.com, “Karina loves being on Dancing With the Stars and has a professional working relationship with Maksim. I can assure you that she has every intention of returning in the spring.” A rep for the show added, “The casting of professionals is determined by the casting of the celebrities, which is still in progress.”
‘UGLY BETTY’ MOVED TO WEDNESDAYS: ABC moving Ugly Betty from Friday to Wednesday nights. Variety reports that the show will fill the void left by the now-canceled Eastwick and could benefit from airing behind the “highly compatible” comedy Cougar Town. The move will be effective come January.
SUNDANCE CONTENDORS ANNOUNCED: Kristen Stewart, Natalie Portman and James Gandolfini are among the stars whose work will be showcased at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Variety reported that the independent-film showcase includes the drama Welcome to the Rileys, which co-stars Gandolfini and Stewart. Gandolfini’s former Soprano’s co-star Edie Falco is among the cast of the suburban drama 3 Backyards while Portman stars alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Rainn Wilson in the family tale Hesher. The films are among 16 screening in Sundance’s U.S. dramatic competition.
‘HANCOCK SEQUEL ON HOLD: The sequel to Hancock has been put on hold to allow Will Smith to spend more time with his family. Director Peter Berg told the Latino Review, “It’s being written now and it’s an issue of everybody involved in Hancock. There are so many cooks in that particular kitchen that it’s so busy and Will has kind of taken time off to be with his kids and his kids are now making all kinds of films. There are so many people involved in that, from Will to his (business) partner James Lassiter to Michael Mann, myself and to get us all in the same room just like this where we can all talk and then agree on anything, you’ve never met a group of people that have a harder time agreeing on anything.”
Tiger Woods posted another message on his website Wednesday (December 2nd), noting that he “let his family down” as more information about his alleged extramarital dalliances surfaced in the media in the wake of his car crash on Friday (November 27th). The statement follows the Us Magazine story about Jaimee Grubbs, 24, who claims that she and Woods began having an affair in April of 2007. Grubbs, who recently appeared on VH1’s Tool Academy, said that she and Tiger had 20 sexual encounters — and says she has more than 300 racy texts to prove it.
