ARIANA GRANDE CLOSES COACHELLA WITH COLLABS FEATURING *NSYNC, NICKI MINAJ, DIDDY AND MA$E – (04/16/2019)

Ariana Grande closed out Weekend One of Coachella in style, putting together a set that included special guests and stunning visuals.

She made history with the first note as she became the youngest person at 25 ever to headline at Coachella. She also became just the fourth woman and didn’t ease into her performance, either. She kicked off her set with a bang, belting her way through “God Is A Woman.”

The much-rumored reunion of *NSYNC did happen as the band (minus Justin Timberlake) came out to sing her song “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored.” It’s a song which uses a reworking of the lyrics to *NSYNC’s song “It Makes Me Ill.”

They then sang their hit, “Tearin’ Up My Heart,” while Grande sang and did the iconic dance moves with the group. In a cute twist, the video screens showed ripples and old numbers as though the audience was watching a VHS tape of the performance. The guys thanked the crowd and left. Grande said “I can die now” as they exited.

But that was just the start of the surprise guests. Moments later Nicki Minaj arrived to sing “Side to Side.” The two left the stage, walking out onto a bridge along with about 12 dancers. While there, they also sang “Bang! Bang!” the hit song they collaborated on with Jessie J. That part was not without its technical problems as Minaj’s microphone didn’t seem to always be working.

Later in the set P. Diddy and Mase came on to sing “Mo Money, Mo Problems” as images of Biggie Smalls showed on the center screen.

Grande belted some of her biggest hits “Dangerous Woman” and “Break Free. Her second-to-last song was “No Tears Left To Cry” which she actually also sang at Coachella last year when she did a surprise performance with Kygo and sang the then-newly released single.

Grande ended by listening to the crowd as they shouted “Thank U, Next” in unison as she pretended to be done without playing her signature hit.

The final images she left her fans with was a rippling pride flag on the big screens and fireworks in the sky.

According to Variety, Ariana raked in $8 million for the gig for stepping in after discussions with Kanye West broke down over staging issues at the last minute.

BEBE REXHA REVEALS BIPOLAR DIAGNOSIS – (04/16/2019)

Bebe Rexha has revealed that she has been diagnosed as bipolar.

“For the longest time, I didn’t understand why I felt so sick. Why I felt lows that made me not want to leave my house or be around people and why I felt highs that wouldn’t let me sleep, wouldn’t let me stop working or creating music. Now I know why,” the 29-year-old singer wrote on her Twitter account. “I’m bipolar and I’m not ashamed anymore. That is all. (Crying my eyes out.)”

She also shared that the diagnosis inspired her new approach to making music.

Bebe continued, “This next album will be favorite album ever because I’m not holding anything back. I love you all very much. And I hope you accept me as I am.”

A day earlier, Rexha took to her Instagram page to express her gratitude to all the fans who have continually supported her throughout her career.

“That means everything to me,” she said during an Instagram Video Sunday. “So today I am grateful for all my fans and for all the people who believed in me and supported me. So, I guess thank you very much if you’re watching this.”

Rexha shared screenshots of her emotional tweets on Instagram, captioning the post, “Honesty is a form of self love.”

DUA LIPA VISITS LEBANON WITH UNICEF TO MEET REFUGEE CHILDREN – (04/16/2019)

Dua Lipa is opening up about her “eye-opening” experience spending time with refugee children in Lebanon.

The 23-year-old Grammy winner traveled to Lebanon this week to meet children and young people supported by UNICEF, including many uprooted by the eight-year conflict in Syria.

Dua spoke to vulnerable children and young people about the obstacles they face in their daily lives, in obtaining an education, and in finding jobs and opportunities. As part of her visit, Dua visited projects implemented in Terbol informal settlement in the Bekaa valley by Lebanese NGO LOST, a UNICEF youth partner organization.

“You can read about the conditions or see the challenges on TV, but you don’t really feel the absolute dire circumstances for refugees from Syria until you see them for yourself,” Dua said in a statement. “But the most powerful thing I saw was hope. In Terbol, I met a wonderful young girl called Yazee. She’s fifteen. She dreams of one day going back to Syria and starting a business applying makeup. And in spite of all of the excuses she could have to give up, she is every day studying and practicing and learning her craft so she can one day make her dream real.”

GAME OF THRONES REVEALS FATE OF ED SHEERAN’S CHARACTER: Fans were not impressed with Ed Sheeran’s Game of Thrones cameo last season, and in Sunday night’s premiere of the HBO mega-hit, they learned the fate of “Eddie.” Sadly, Bronn (Jerome Flynn) discovers that he was a victim of dragon fire. As one of the three women he was sleeping with on the show told him, “That boy Eddie came back with his face burned right off. He’s got no eyelids now.” Sheeran got so much criticism for his appearance—which included a campfire sing-along—he deleted his Twitter account. HBO also dropped a preview for episode two of the show’s final season.
