HOLLYWOOD, FAMILY MOURNS AFTER PETER FONDA DIES AT AGE 79 – (08/19/2019)
Hollywood icon Peter Fonda has died at age 79 after a battle with lung cancer. In a statement, the Fonda family said: “It is with deep sorrow that we share the news that Peter Fonda has passed away. Fonda, 79 years old, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, August 16th, at 11:05 a.m. at his home in Los Angeles surrounded by family. The official cause of death was respiratory failure due to lung cancer.”
The statement continued: “In one of the saddest moments of our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our hearts. As we grieve, we ask that you respect our privacy. And, while we mourn the loss of this sweet and gracious man, we also wish for all to celebrate his indomitable spirit and love of life. In honor of Peter, please raise a glass to freedom.”
Fonda rose to fame co-writing and starring in the seminal film, Easy Rider. His sister, Jane Fonda, told Variety of her brother: “I am very sad. He was my sweet-hearted baby brother. The talker of the family. I have had beautiful alone time with him these last days. He went out laughing.”
Peter and Jane’s father was Henry Fonda, a Hollywood trailblazer who starred in several classic films, including The Grapes of Wrath, 12 Angry Men, and On Golden Pond. His mother, an American socialite named Frances Ford Seymour, married Henry in 1936. They reportedly had a troubled relationship; three months after Henry asked for a divorce, she committed suicide. Peter was 10. He found out about her death after his sister Jane read about it in a magazine.
The Hired Hand star earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay in 1970. He was also nominated as Best Actor in 1998 for Ulee’s Gold.
Fonda snagged two Golden Globes: a Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama award in 1998 for Ulee’s Gold and a Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television statue two years later for his part in The Passion of Ayn Rand.
He is survived by his wife Margaret DeVogeleare, whom he married in 2011 and his children, Bridget and Justin Fonda. He was previously married to Susan Brewer from 1961 to 1974 and Portia Rebecca Crockett from 1975 to 2011.

JAY-Z TO BECOME PART NFL OWNER – (08/19/2019)
JAY-Z is continuing to make moves with the NFL. According to TMZ Sports, following the mogul’s recently announced music and social justice partnership with the organization, he will be taking his relationship with the NFL a step further and will become part owner of an NFL team.
Sources close to Hov claim that he will have a “significant ownership interest” in an NFL team “in the near future.” And while it is unclear which team he will have a stake in, JAY reportedly wants to become a part owner “because he’s a huge fan, already has a sports business, and wants to continue to be a change agent for the NFL.”
Plans of when the deal will be finalized are unclear, but sources say it will be happening soon.

TAYLOR SWIFT REVEALS ‘LOVER’ TRACKLIST – (08/19/2019)
After releasing the title track of her upcoming album, Taylor Swift announced the titles of all 18 songs on Lover.
Taylor shared the news on Instagram, sharing three images with the names of her upcoming songs, including the already-released “ME!,” “You Need to Calm Down,” “The Archer” and “Lover.”
In addition, Swift confirmed her collaboration with the Dixie Chicks on a single called “Soon You’ll Get Better,” the 12th song listed on her album. Swifties first anticipated a Dixie Chicks-featured track after the release of the “ME!” music video, in which a framed portrait of the country trio was placed in the background of the opening scene.
Taylor released the title track from “Lover” on Friday. A full-length music video for the single is expected to debut on August 22nd after Swift hosts a Facebook Live event and performs on Good Morning America. The album will be available on August 23rd.
Swift was honored with the Teen Choice Icon Award and she is slated to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards show on August 26th.

MILLIE BOBBY BROWN AND HARRY STYLES SPOTTED DANCING ALL NIGHT: Harry Styles and Millie Bobby Brown had such a good time at Ariana Grande’s concert in London over the weekend, fans posted about it all weekend on social. Styles, 25, and Brown, 15, were seen BFFing it up in the VIP area and dancing the night away. In video of them was posted by fans online, they were seen whispering into each other’s ears, laughing and dancing. (The Blast)
JUSTIN AND HAILEY BIEBER TO THROW WEDDING PARTY: Soon! Justin and Hailey Bieber are set to throw a party celebrating their wedding next month, TMZ reports. They got married on September 13th last year at an NYC courthouse, so this could be both an anniversary and wedding party. The pair reportedly plan to send out invites this week. (TMZ)
