From Believe in Books’ Website;

Believe in Books Youth Theatre returns with an adorable production of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids! The one-act musical is based on the 2011 animated feature film. The BIBYT cast contains approximately 20 students led by Director Nate Sawyer. Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids is a story about friendship as Pooh and his fellow friends go on an adventure in search of Christopher Robin!

With minimal activity available for local children after school and after an extremely successful Summer of theater camp, BIBYT decided to host a Fall production for kids interested in theater.  Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids will open Thursday, October 29th at 7:00 pm with a second and final performance on Friday, October 30th at 7:00 pm.  Doors for each show will open at 6:30 pm.  Tickets must be purchased online in advance prior to the performance as tickets will not be offered at the door. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for Believe in Books Literacy Foundation members.  A limited number of tickets are on sale now at www.believeinbooks.org.

The Believe in Books Youth Theatre is a part of the Believe in Books Literacy Foundation which is a Charitable 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit with a mission to advance healthy development of young minds through literacy programs that encourage early reading, imagination, and physical activity.

A man who lost his wedding ring while hunting in Maine had it returned to him when another hunter came across it eight years later. Shawn Howard had been hunting with a friend in Brighton when the ring apparently fell off his finger. He gave up hope of ever seeing the ring again until he saw a recent post on Facebook’s Maine Moose Hunting group from a fellow hunter who had found a ring in the same area. Howard identified the ring by the engraving. The ring’s return coincides nicely with the 19th anniversary of his wedding to wife Theresa.

Ariana Grande’s new single, “Positions” has dropped. The singer teased with an announcement on Instagram, alongside a black and white image of herself in a long-sleeved crop top and matching skirt.

A second post shared a very brief clip of the song, played over the name of the single and an image of the singer, while a countdown clock appeared in her stories.

The singer first revealed back on Oct. 14th that she was dropping her sixth studio album this month.

Today on The Magic Morning Show, Gino was joined by 12 year old Kennett Middle School student, Collin Laracy and the Conway Public Library’s Tessa Narducci. Collin and the library are teaming up on October 29th from 3:30pm -5:30pm for a Halloween Haunt that Collin is putting together using his very own collection of Halloween Animatronics and decor. Collin has been collecting since he was a toddler and has a deep love for Halloween that he loves to share with his family, friends, and now his community. Registration is required to enter Collin’s Haunt and masks are mandatory. Click the player to listen to Collin’s Interview and get more details below!

From the Conway Public Library’s Website:

One group of up to 4 people permitted through at a time, and CDC recommended MASKS are required. This event is not recommended for young children, and may be a little scary for some.

Collin Laracy is 12 years old and attends Kennett Middle School.  Since he was a toddler, he has been fascinated with Halloween and animatronics.  After visiting a family friends’ decorated house with crazy halloween animatronics, he was determined that was what he wanted to do.  He has over 20 animatronics ranging from 3 feet high to 10 feet high as well as hundreds of various halloween decorations.

For the past several years, Collin has constructed a haunted house for his friends to visit.  In his younger years it consisted of decorations in one room.  Gradually over the years, the haunting has spread out into the entire house.

About 3 years ago, the noise got to be too much for his parents and everything was set up in the basement.  Once given the blank slate of the basement, he began designing the haunted house with tunnels, flashing lights, and different theme rooms. Decorating became a family event, with his younger sister Katie helping out.  When Collin isn’t searching for the newest halloween animatronic, he is mountain biking, skiing or drawing.

Families were sent a letter today from SAU9 Superintendent of Schools, Kevin Richard confirming a positive case of COVID-19 at Conway Elementary School. Please read below.

Good Afternoon,

We were informed today of a confirmed case of COVID-19 at Conway Elementary School.

We are actively working with and following guidelines from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)

We have contacted those individuals, or their parents/guardians, who were determined to be in close contact with the infected person and they have been instructed to self-quarantine. They will be directed to get tested and keep themselves or their children quarantined until 14 days following their last possible exposure. In the event that your child has to quarantine, they will be able to access their education remotely.

If you or your child are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, such as a fever, chills, respiratory illness, aches or change in taste and smell, please stay home and away from others and get a COVID-19 PCR test. You may choose to seek out testing from your healthcare provider or at one of the testing sites located throughout the state.

The safety of our children and employees is our top priority.  We will continue to follow CDC guidelines for physical distancing, mask wearing, cleaning and disinfecting our high-traffic areas and frequently touched surfaces as outlined in the SAU #9 Re-Entry Plan.

Please see additional details and information in the COVID 19 Family Letter 10_20_2020.pdf .

We appreciate your ongoing cooperation and support in these unpredictable times.

Sincerely,

Kevin Richard, SAU9 Superintendent of Schools

North Conway, NH – Chipotle Mexican Grill is opening a 2,548 square foot restaurant in North Conway, featuring a mobile order pickup drive-thru, 45 seat dining room and outdoor patio dining area. The restaurant is part of a 5’875 square foot commercial site being developed by OVP Management, Inc. on Route 16 in North Conway.

Chipotle is an international fast-casual restaurant chain serving responsibly sourced, classically-cooked Mexican fare including burritos, bowls, tacos and salads. Founded in 1993 by Steve Ells in Denver, Colorado, the company is a longtime leader and innovator in the food industry. The original technique and service style were borrowed from taquerias in San Francisco, which served Mission-style burritos. Chipotle was an early adopter to the open kitchen, and one of the first fresh, fast food chains that grew substantially in the mid-2000s. Chipotle has more than 2,000 locations worldwide including Canada, United Kingdom, France and Germany.

The company’s latest innovation is the mobile order pickup drive-thru, branded as Chipotlanes, which were introduced in 2018 and are now being included in more than 60% of all new Chipotle restaurants, including the North Conway restaurant. Chipotlanes have an entire team and kitchen devoted to digital orders in addition to the walk-in dining area.

The building located at 1549 White Mountain Highway has been designed by Cambridge, Massachusetts-based architecture firm Prellwitz Chilinski Associates, Inc. Site work is under way by local contractors including Gordon T. Burke & Sons, Rotten Rock Concrete, and CBI Construction. Chipotle is scheduled to open Summer 2021. Up to 3,500 square feet of prime leasing space remains available. To learn more, contact Rob Barsamian at 617-965-9700, ext. 13.
