‘ANGEL HAS FALLEN’ WINS BOX OFFICE WITH $11.5M – (09/02/2019)

Angel Has Fallen won the box office for the second week in a row, bringing in $11.5 million. Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman star in the third installment of the Fallen franchise, and while it won the B.O. on a sluggish holiday weekend, it’s still only earning just over the $40 million it spent in budget after three weeks out.

Following close behind is Good Boys, the R-rated comedy starring Jacob Tremblay, Keith L. Williams and Brady Noon, with $9.19 million in receipts. Lion King rounded out the top 3 with $6.7 million. The Fast & Furious spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, brought in $6.3 million this weekend, its fifth week out of the gates.
