‘RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET’ LEADS RECORD-BREAKING THANKSGIVING CHARGE – (11/26/2018)

Ralph Breaks the Internet and Creed II led the way at the box office, delivering the highest-grossing Thanksgiving box office ever. Disney’s animated Ralph sequel starring John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman grossed $84.5 million over five days, the second biggest Thanksgiving opener ever. 

Coming in at No. 2, Creed II reunited Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone, and brought in $55.8 million over five days, the most a live-action film has ever brought in over the Thanksgiving holiday. 

All in, the 5-day weekend raked in $314 million domestically. Box office sales are up 10% this year over last year.

‘FANTASTIC BEASTS’ SOARS TO TOP OF BOX OFFICE – (11/19/2018)

Warner Bros.’ Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindewald came out on top at the box office over the weekend, but it still fell below the studio’s expectations. Fantastic Beasts nabbed $62 million, just short of the studio’s projected $65 million.

2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, meanwhile, the first entry in the Harry  Potter universe franchise, earned $74 million. Last week’s topper, Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, came in second with $38.1 million, raking in a total of $126 million domestically for Universal. Bohemian Rhapsody closed out the top three with $15.7 million. 

Fox’s Widows performed poorly, earning just $12.3 million. The film has earned strong reviews from critics, but the viewers aren’t showing up.

Mower lost Week 10 of North Conway Premier‘s Pick’em Challenge and the Wheel O’ Punishment tested Mower’s “cuddling” skills and put him through the Nuzzle Challenge… where Mower had to cuddle with some food items and identify them only by nuzzling.
