The 1st Annual Conway Marketplace Fall Festival – Sunday, October 21st

The 1st Annual Conway Marketplace Fall Festival is happening this weekend on Sunday, October 21st from 11am-3pm. It’s FUN FOR ALL AGES with Trick or Treating,  a Costume Contest, LIVE Music courtesy of Shark Martin, Corn Hole, Soccer Darts, Face Painting, and more! Plus, don’t forget about the SPECIAL DISCOUNTS, SALES, RAFFLES and GIVEAWAYS by participating businesses.

Earlier today Gino was supposed to have Matt of Knockerball North Conway and Joe from JD Tool & Hardware on the Magic Morning Show to talk about the event but due a scheduling snafu the guys couldn’t make it. Luckily, we had Mower step in and do his best Matt and Joe impression… the only problem was Mower has never met Matt or Joe, so he just tried his best…listen below!

 

The Conway Marketplace is located right across the street from TD Bank in Conway. There will be food provided by Bea’s Cafe, Grand View Farm, and The Cheese Louise Food Truck.

Box Office Recap – 10/15/2018

RYAN GOSLING’S ‘FIRST MAN’ DISAPPOINTS AS SONY SWINGS PAST $1B – (10/15/2018)

Venom’s solid second weekend ($35.7M) and Goosebump 2’s debut at $16.2M have Sony inching past the $1B mark at the box office this year. It’s the fourth studio to do so: Disney has raked in $2.75B+, Warner Bros. has nabbed $1.3B+ and Universal has scored $1.2B+ so far. 

The news wasn’t as good for Ryan Gosling’s First Man, which earned strong reviews but only opened to $16.5M. Damien Chazelle helmed the Neil Armstrong biopic. A Star Is Born, meanwhile, landed in second place at $28M, for a 10-day cume of $94.1M.

Conway Fire & Rescue – Open House – Saturday, October 13th

The Conway Fire & Rescue Station is holding an Open House this Saturday, October 13th from 11am – 2pm. The station is located at 97 Main Street in Conway and is a great opportunity to join team members for the day and explore the department, ask questions, and even take pictures with the trucks!

Conway Firefighter Garrett Meador joined Gino on the Magic Morning Show today and told us all about the Open House, what his team did for Fire Prevention this week, and also about his experience of being part of the first Rescue Team from New Hampshire to be sent out to North Carolina to help the victims of the hurricane floods. Take a listen!

 

For some fun there will be a chance to “Dunk a Firefighter” or pie one in the face! They will be showing Paw Patrol on their BIG Screen and selling pizza and raffle tickets for a Paw Patrol Ultimate Fire Truck.

The Ghoullog is BACK at Cranmore Mountain! – 10/11/2018

The Ghoullog

Enter 12 years of fear at the Ghoullog! The approximate 50 minute haunt features over 15,000 square feet of indoor space through a series of dark rooms, scary mazes and unknown places, plus an outdoor element which leads the unsuspecting through the dark woods with all of the scares and screams you’ve come to expect. Will you be able to make it out of the Ghoullog unharmed? *The Ghoullog is recommended for ages 10 & over. Visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather.*

Haunted Playground

Enjoy spooky family fun! Dare to go for a ride in the Haunted Playground, featuring the Mountain Coaster, Giant Swing and Soaring Eagle Zip Line. The Coaster is a roller-coaster like ride that takes visitors on a 3,600 foot round trip ride up and down the mountain in a 2-person sled mounted on a steel track. The Giant Swing gives 4 people a breath-taking sky-ride.
