ANNE HECHE EXPLAINS WHY SHE STORMED OFF ‘DWTS,’ EXECS SUPPORT TYRA BANKS – (10/08/2020)

Anne Heche is explaining why she stormed off Dancing With the Stars following her elimination. Heche left the set as soon as the show wrapped and refused to talk to the press, Page Six reports. Before her performance, she opened up about her relationship with Ellen DeGeneres, and discussed the scrutiny their relationship faced.

She tells Page Six that the elimination, coupled with her opening up, left her feeling raw. She says: “The honest truth is that it took 20 years to process and share that story, so finally, telling it and being voted off on the same night was not the best feeling. It did feel good to tell my story to show that we have come a long way, and we see things with more acceptance now –even though we are not all the way there yet, it’s important to recognize how far we have come.”

Her exit came after a bizarre eviction blunder when new host Tyra Banks told Cheer star Monica Aldama that she and Val Chmerkovskiy were safe.

Moments later, she revealed that there was an “error in the control room,” and that she needed Aldama and Chmerkovskiy to return to the stage. “This is live TV, right? This is the craziness of live TV,” the host quipped. Ultimately, Monica and Val were safe as Heche and Motsepe were sent home.

Execs tell ET that they have Banks’ back. Exec producer Andrew Llinares said that she “dealt” with the on-air drama “amazingly.”

“I just want to be really clear, this was not Tyra’s fault. It was a behind-the-scenes issue,” Llinares said.

‘TENET’ TOPS BOX OFFICE AGAIN AS ‘NO TIME TO DIE’ IS PUSHED – (10/05/2020)

Tenet reached $45 million domestically in a tepid box office market that has the number 2 chain in the U.S., Regal, reportedly considering a partial shutdown due to economic pressures. If Regal goes dark, Deadline reports that it could deliver an additional 18% blow to the B.O.

This weekend, Tenet, starring Robert Pattinson, managed $2.7 million, while Disney’s re-release of the 1993 family film Hocus Pocus managed $1.925 million.

MGM doesn’t want its next major flick to expire at the box office, so No Time To Die is heading to an Easter weekend opener. The James Bond flick will open April 2, 2021, the same weekend that Universal’s F9 will bow.

“MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, today announced the release of No Time To Die, the 25th film in the James Bond series, will be delayed until 2 April in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience.  We understand the delay will be disappointing to our fans but we now look forward to sharing No Time To Die next year,” said the studio in a statement.

The Daniel Craig-starrer was set to open on Thanksgiving, but given the tepid state of the box office right now, MGM doesn’t want to imperil a film that is expected to bring in $1 billion.

CHADWICK BOSEMAN’S BROTHER REVEALS THEIR LAST CONVERSATION – (10/05/2020)

Chadwick Boseman‘s brother Derrick has opened up about his last conversation with his brother before he passed of colon cancer last month. Derrick, a pastor from Murfreesboro, Tennessee told The New York Times, said that Chadwick told him, “Man, I’m in the fourth quarter, and I need you to get me out of the game.” Derrick continued, “When he told me that, I changed my prayer from, ‘God heal him, God save him,’ to ‘God, let your will be done.’ And the next day he passed away.”

He added that during their family prayer calls, Boseman would always say “Hallelujah,” adding,  “He never stopped saying it.”

Meanwhile, Boseman’s other brother Kevin spoke of Chadwick’s early days as an actor and his work ethic despite their parents’ initial doubts. Kevin said,  “A lot of people think making it means becoming an A-list movie star. I didn’t force that. I just knew that if Chad wanted to work in the arts, he would find a way and take care of himself.”

Chadwick was 43.

KATE BECKINSALE DEFENDS CHRISSY TEIGEN FROM TROLLS – (10/05/2020)

After Chrissy Teigen shared intimate details of the loss of her pregnancy, some people criticized her on social media. She and John Legend were expecting their third child together, and had shared the ups and downs of their pregnancy on social media; when she lost baby Jack, she shared the news.

Kate Beckinsale saw the comments, she jumped to her defense, revealing that she too lost a pregnancy, and that there was no right or wrong way to grieve.

She wrote: “I’ve noticed people criticizing @chrissyteigen for sharing deeply intimate photos of the loss of her baby. As if there’s some protocol during soul-scouring calamity that, if not observed, emboldens people who do not know her or her family to say how she should be handling the unimaginable.”

She added: “Years ago, I lost a baby at 20 weeks. I had managed to keep my pregnancy quiet and I absolutely collapsed inside and no one would have known. There is grief, shame and shock so often that come with an experience like this, plus the heartbreak of your body continuing, after the loss, to act as if it had a child to nurture.”

Beckinsale shared that her breast milk had come in despite there being “no one to feed.” She called the experience the “loneliest, most soul destroying period of time, particularly if you are not in the position of having an emotionally connected, supportive partner like Chrissy has.”

She concluded: “Thank you @chrissyteigen for making sure it is abundantly clear how devastating this is, and how life changing it can be without support. Let’s let the grieving decide what’s right for them. Send support or keep quiet. This is a really hard time to bear. Blessings and hugs to all x.”

Teigen’s mother Vilailuck Teigen, also shared a tribute to her late grandson.

DEMI LOVATO, MAX EHRICH CALL OFF ENGAGEMENT – (09/28/2020)

Demi Lovato and her fiancé, Max Ehrich, have called off their engagement.

The 28-year-old singer and actress and 29-year-old actor have split, just over two months after getting engaged during a beachside proposal. People said ending the engagement was a “tough decision” for Lovato and Ehrich.

Fans started speculating about a split after Lovato’s close friends and family unfollowed Ehrich on Instagram. Lovato and Ehrich were first linked in March and got engaged in July. The pair celebrated their six-month anniversary as a couple September 7th.

A source told E! that things had started deteriorating a couple weeks before Ehrich left Los Angeles to film a project in Atlanta. “They were arguing a lot and Demi didn’t want him to go without her,” the source said. She ultimately traveled there to be with him then realized maybe she didn’t trust his intentions with her.

“There has been a lot of tension and Demi left him to get a clear head,” the source said. Lovato realized during that time that “she didn’t know who Max truly was and didn’t think he had good intentions. There were many red flags she was ignoring and trying to turn a blind eye to.”

A second source added that “she doesn’t trust him and thinks he’s sketchy.” She “feels he proposed to get attention.” Ehrich popped the question to Lovato after less than five months of dating. Her feelings for him were genuine, E! was told. She just wasn’t sure his for her were.

Lovato is now back in Los Angeles with her family “rallied around her,” the second source told E!.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE AND JESSICA BIEL WELCOME BABY – (09/28/2020)

Baby makes four for Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. After months of rumors, Timberlake’s fellow NSYNC group member Lance Bass confirmed that the pair welcomed a second child earlier this year.

“The baby is cute of course, it’s Justin and Jessica!” Bass told ET’s Katie Krause on Friday while chatting about his podcast, The Daily Popcast. While Bass wouldn’t go into detail about Timberlake and Biel’s second child, he did share that the *NSYNC members knew before everyone else and their group chat is now all about babies and the newborn.

He LOL’d when asked what the name was. “That’s a good question,” adding, “Justin would kill me!”

In July, reports emerged that Biel gave birth to their second child, a boy, but the private couple has not confirmed the reports. The 39-year-old singer and 38-year-old already share the 5-year-old Silas. In November, Timberlake made headlines for all the wrong reasons when he was photographed snuggling up late night with his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright at a bar in New Orleans. He later apologized publicly to Biel on social media: “A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior.”

A few months later, the pair appeared to have patched over any issues, posting sweet shots to each other on social media.
