KATY PERRY & ORLANDO BLOOM WELCOME THEIR DAUGHTER – (08/27/2020)

Katy Perry is a mom! The 35-year-old singer and fiancé Orlando Bloom welcomed their baby girl on Wednesday, naming her Daisy Dove Bloom.

The couple shared the exciting news in a statement with UNICEF, while also sharing the first photo of their baby girl. In “celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has,” Katy and Orlando established a UNICEF donation page on baby Daisy’s – or “DDB” as they called her – behalf. “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” they said.

Daisy is the first child for Katy. The 43-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor shares nine-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

Meanwhile, Katy also released an animated music video for “Never Really Over” 14 months following the premiere of the original live-action visual.

The trippy new music video puts you in the shoes of an animated Perry in first person perspective. The animated video seems to be inspired by Groundhog Day. It unfolds from the point of view of a woman, presumably Katy, who wakes up every day at the same time, brushes her teeth in the same way and sits down to breakfast. What she’s eating changes, but when she gets up to do the dishes, she sees the same dirty dish on the counter – even though she remembers washing it the previous day…and the day before…and the day before…

“Just ‘cause this song came out in May 2019 doesn’t mean it’s ever really over,” Perry tweeted. “Here’s ‘NRO’ based on my ACTUAL experiences with dishes during quarantine.”

“Never Really Over” is the opening track from Perry’s upcoming sixth studio Smile, which drops Friday.

In other Katy news: she will receive the Gracies Impact Award from the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) at the 45th annual Gracie Awards program, which will air live (virtually) on AWMF’s Facebook page on September 10th.

The Gracies Impact Award is presented to an artist who has made a positive impact on society through her music.

Other honorees this year include Gayle King, Naomi Watts, Amy Poehler, Tamron Hall, Angela Yee, Danai Gurira and Natasha Lyonne.

GIGI HADID SHARES FIRST PREGNANCY PHOTOSHOOT – (08/27/2020)

Gigi Hadid is celebrating her pregnancy with a stunning photoshoot on Instagram. The 25-year-old supermodel showed off her blossoming bump in a series of flowing, see-through dresses.

The model, who is expecting her first child with Zayn Malik, is spending her quarantine on her family farm in Pennsylvania. 

“growin an angel,” she wrote with a smiley face, adding she was “cherishing this time” and appreciated “all the love & well wishes.” She captioned one photo with the date July 26, 2020, which appeared to be the date of the photoshoot. 

Her mother Yolanda Hadid has previously said the baby is due in September. Hadid has been relatively mum on her pregnancy, so fans greeted this shoot with joy, giving it more than 4.6 million “likes” in just two hours.

NIKKI AND BRIE BELLA INTRODUCE BOYS: Twins Nikki and Brie Bella introduced their baby boys on Wednesday in separate posts. “Matteo Artemovich Chigvintsev,” Nikki, 36, captioned an Instagram photo of herself kissing her and Artem Chigvintsev’s son’s cheek. “7/31/2020. 7 pounds, 3 ounces, 19 3/4 inches.” Brie shared that she and husband Daniel Bryan named their sun Buddy Dessert, after his father and her grandmother: “Named after Bryan’s dad and his middle name is pronounced Desert after my Nana’s maiden name. He came into our lives in such a special way we wanted to name him after some special people.”

LADY GAGA REVEALS VMAS PERFORMANCE PREP – (08/27/2020)

Lady Gaga took to social media to show how she would be getting ready for her VMAs performance in a post-pandemic world.

In one clip captioned “When you want to be on stage performing for your fans but there’s a super-virus #VMAs,” Gaga is laying face-down in bed, wearing a yellow “Chromatica” t-shirt, underwear that says “Tokyo” and a pink mask with giant bunny-esque ears. The words “Dreaming of reality” pass across the screen before she screams into her pillow, and then there’s a test-pattern sound followed by the words “Stay tuned.” We then see Gaga floating in a pool on a big unicorn-shaped raft, holding a parasol.

In a separate photo, she sits in an ice bath, doing devil horns with both hands: “#vmas,” the caption reads, with a pair of emojis.

Lady Gaga will be performing with Ariana Grande at the VMAs on Sunday night. They are the show’s top nominees, with nine each – many of them for “Rain on Me,” their duet from Chromatica.

KANYE WEST WILL APPEAR ON BALLOT IN MINNESOTA, IDAHO & TENNESSEE, NOT MISSOURI – (08/27/2020)

Kanye West has managed to get on the 2020 presidential ballot in Idaho, Minnesota and Tennessee, but he will not be on Missouri’s ballot. According to The New York Post, the secretary of state’s offices in Idaho and Missouri confirmed earlier this week that West will be on the ballot. Kanye filed his petition to be on the ballot in Tennessee last Thursday, right before the state’s noon deadline.  A spokeswoman for Tennessee secretary of state’s office confirmed that Ye made the deadline and will appear on the ballot.

Meanwhile, Kanye failed to get enough signatures to appear on the Missouri ballot. In order to be on the ballot, Kanye needed 10,000 signatures and he was short 3, 443 signatures.

In related news, TMZ has also reported that West has hired a firm called Let The Voters Decide to get his name on the ballot in Arizona and he is prepared to spend up to $500,00 to get it done.

MTV VMAS 2020 REVEALS PRE-SHOW LINEUP INCLUDING CHLOE X HALLE & MACHINE GUN KELLY – (08/26/2020)

The performer lineup for the 2020 MTV VMAs Pre-Show has been revealed.

Chloe x Halle, Lewis Capaldi and Machine Gun Kelly are all slated to perform at the pre-show ahead of the virtual ceremony. Jack Harlow, Tate McRae, Travis Barker and blackbear are also set to make an appearance at the event.

The pre-show event is set to be hosted by Nessa Diab and Jamila Mustafa and will feature “celebrity interviews and coast-to-coast coverage from celebrity correspondents, Kevan Kenney and Travis Mills.”

The 2020 MTV VMAs Pre-Show will air this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. [ET] with the main show with host Keke Palmer happening at 8 p.m. [ET].

Beginning today, voting will open for the coveted Song of the Summer category. You can cast a ballot via bracket-style voting on MTV’s Instagram story.

This year’s show will also honor Everyday Heroes: Frontline Medical Workers, highlighting the best performances given in 2020 by doctors, nurses, and other responders and workers on the front lines.

LANDON CLIFFORD DIES AT 19: YouTube star Landon Clifford has died at 19, his wife Camryn shared. The Cam & Fam star died on August 13th, the 19-year-old Camryn wrote to her 472K followers. After suffering a brain injury, he died. She wrote: “After spending the following 6 days in a coma he passed on and donated several organs to people in need all over the country. He died saving the lives of others. That’s the type of person he was.” In a post shared on Instagram earlier this month, Camryn asked followers to help “stop the stigma around mental health. You never know what someone else is going through so always choose to show kindness and grace.”

JAMIE LYNN SPEARS NAMED AS SISTER BRITNEY’S TRUSTEE – (08/26/2020)

Britney Spears’ sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, has been named as the trustee for her older sister’s finances

The 29-year-old former Nickelodeon star has been named the trustee of Britney’s “SJB Revocable Trust,” which was initially set to protect the pop star and her children’s finances, according to The Blast, which obtained the documents.

Jamie Lynn has reportedly requested that the court authorize Fidelity Financial Management to serve as a financial advisor and create “blocked accounts” to hold her 38-year-old sister’s assets.

According to The Blast, Jamie Lynn will ensure these assets and cash will be used for Britney’s two children, Sean and Jayden Federline, if the singer was to pass away.

The “SJB Revocable Trust” was reportedly created in 2004, four years prior to when her conservatorship started in 2008. Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, and her co-conservator, Andrew Wallet, reportedly signed off on Jamie Lynn’s request to be named a trustee.

Last week, it was reported that Britney no longer wished to have her father in control of her conservatorship, with her lawyer Samuel D. Ingham III requesting that the conservatorship “must be changed substantially in order to reflect the major changes in her current lifestyle and her stated wishes.”

However, after a hearing in court, the conservatorship remains unchanged with Jamie Spears still in control. Following the hearing, the American Civil Liberties Union came out in support of Britney and offering their help.

THE WEEKND OPENS UP ABOUT ‘FEUD’ WITH USHER – (08/26/2020)

The Weeknd has opened up about his “feud” with Usher.  As previously reported, during an interview with Variety back in April, the singer said that Usher’s 2012 single “Climax” was a rip off of his song, “House of Balloons.”  Usher responded by singing “Climax” a capella in a Instagram post, singing, “Can’t take it back, ni**a, we reached the climax.” 

 In an interview with Esquire, The Weeknd said, “It wasn’t a feud. I hit [Usher] up to apologize and tell him that it was misconstrued.  He’s one of the reasons why I make music. Definitely. No, no, I have nothing bad to say about Usher. The sweetest, most down-to-earth guy ever.”

In the interview, The Weeknd also breaks down the meaning of his latest hit, “Blinding Lights.”

“‘Blinding Lights’ [is about] how you want to see someone at night, and you’re intoxicated, and you’re driving to this person and you’re just blinded by streetlights, but nothing could stop you from trying to go see that person, because you’re so lonely,” he explains.

He adds, “I don’t want to ever promote drunk driving, but that’s what the dark undertone is.”

J BALVIN & RODDY RICCH DROP OUT OF MTV VMAS 2020 PERFORMER LINEUP – (08/25/2020)

J Balvin and Roddy Ricch are no longer performing at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards.

Amid reports over the weekend that performers might be dropping out due to COVID-19 safety precautions, both artists are no longer part of the lineup for the event on August 30th, via Variety.

Ricch confirmed the news on his Instagram Story. “Unfortunately, I won’t be performing at this year’s VMAs as announced. My team and I did everything in our power to make this work, due to COVID compliance issues at the last minute we had to call off the performance,” the rapper said. “My team and I are safe and everyone’s health is a main priority, as well as giving a quality performance. I appreciate MTV for the opportunity to perform and I hope I can see y’all next year. STAY SAFE.”

J Balvin confirmed earlier in the month that he tested positive for coronavirus.

Both J Balvin and Roddy Ricch are up for multiple awards. J Balvin is nominated for his collaborations with Anuel, Maluma, and the Black Eyed Peas, while Roddy Ricch got nods for Best New Artist, Best Hip-Hop, and Song of the Year for “The Box.”

So far, performances from BTS, Lady Gaga, Doja Cat, Maluma, The Weeknd, CNCO, and Miley Cyrus are still on tap.

ELLEN DEGENERES TO ADDRESS SCANDAL ON SHOW AS FIRST CANCELLATION ARRIVES – (08/25/2020)

As WarnerMedia reportedly neared the end of its investigation into The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen DeGeneres plans to discuss the allegations against her and other leaders directly. Among the charges are claims of sexual misconduct, racism and workplace bullying on set.

Three producers, executive producers Ed Glavin and Kevin Leman and co-executive producer Jonathan Norman, have been ousted, and she said in a staff memo that she planned to make changes in the day-to-day management of the show. 

The Daily Mail asked DeGeneres how she would handle the allegations when her show returns in September, and she said: “I will be talking to my fans.” 

CANCELLED

Meanwhile, Australia’s Channel Nine network is the first to officially pull the plug on the show following the viral reports of bad on-set behavior. 

“We are resting Ellen repeats on Nine and have replaced with Desperate Housewives,” a spokesperson confirmed to news.com.au.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been airing on the channel since 2013.

TAYLOR SWIFT FAN FINDS BOX OF SIGNED ‘FOLKLORE’ CDS, RETURNS THEM TO RECORD STORE – (08/25/2020)

Taylor Swift sent off surprise shipments of signed copies of her Folklore CD to select independent record stores last week and Swifties were eager to get their hands on one.

One of those fans ended up getting her hands on an entire box of them outside The Exclusive Co. by accident and did something store manager Tom Smith says “makes you have faith in human beings again.”

He learned on Friday his store in downtown Green Bay would be getting 30 of the coveted CDs on Saturday morning. But UPS delivered 15 minutes before the store was open. When he arrived to open the store, there were two Swift fans sitting on the ground in front of the shop. The delivery driver had asked one of them, Brandy Baenen, to sign for the box and drove off.

Baenen handed the box to Smith. “Out of curiosity, do you know what’s in the box?” she asked. When he told her it was the autographed Folklore CDs, she said, “I thought it was!” Smith said the fan could have easily driven off with the signed CDs and sold them online for thousands of dollars – but she said: “Taylor Swift wouldn’t want me to walk away with them.”

He said the entire box could have easily gone for $9,000 online. “It’s really endearing,” he said. “Taylor Swift does so much good with her celebrity, and you can see how it also trickles down to her fans.”

Smith said he received news on Monday that Swift’s reps now want to meet the devoted fan.

KATY PERRY MAKES MUSIC HISTORY – (08/24/2020)

Katy Perry has made music history with her song “Firework,” 10 years after the song was released.

“Firework” is now “the highest certified track by a lead female artist in RIAA history,” according to the Chart Data page on Twitter.

The song was released on August 24, 2010, as part of Katy’s album Teenage Dream and it just received the 12x Platinum certification.

She is now the only lead female artist to achieve this. Only two other songs performed by a lead female artist have even hit 11x Platinum – Katy’s “Dark Horse” and Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.”

In response to the news, Katy tweeted, “why do I still feel like a plastic bag then,” referencing the opening lyrics of the song.

BTS’ ‘DYNAMITE’ SETS NEW YOUTUBE RECORD: BTS has set a new record for most views of a music video on YouTube in its first 24 hours of release. Dance track “Dynamite,” BTS’ first English-language song, earned 98.3 million views in the 24 hours since it was posted Friday at midnight [EDT]. It had 122 million views as of Saturday morning. “How You Like That” – by K-pop group Blackpink – was the previous record holder, earning 86.3 million views in the first 24 hours when it was released in June.

SOFIA VERGARA STANDS BY ELLEN DEGENERES: Sofia Vergara is standing by the beleaguered host Ellen DeGeneres after old videos show DeGeneres teasing Vergara for her accent on a 2015 show. DeGeneres, as many will recall, is going through an internal investigation after toxic workplace allegations were made against her and senior producers on her eponymous shows. Three producers have been fired. On Twitter, Vergara responded to the clip, writing: “Two comedians having fun with each other to entertain. I was never a victim guys, I was always in on the joke.”

JUSTICE LEAGUE UNDER INVESTIGATION: WarnerMedia is investigating the Justice League production after actor Ron Fisher reported that filmmaker Joss Whedon’s “on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.” He sent that tweet out in July. Fisher sent out an update Thursday on Twitter, saying that WarnerMedia has “launched an independent third-party investigation to get to the heart of the toxic and abusive work environment created during Justice League reshoots.”

DWTS STRUGGLING? The Dancing With the Stars celebrity line-up seems to be hurting after ABC replaced Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews with Tyra Banks, sources tell the Naughty But Nice podcast. “Part of the reason Tyra was hired was because it was assumed that she would be able to bring in big named stars to the competition. The show has always struggled to get top celebrities into the ballroom, with Kim Kardashian possibly being the biggest name ever to dance. Tyra implied she could call all her famous friends and get them to join the show, but so far it is not happening,” the sources said.

BLACK EYED PEAS, DABABY TO PERFORM ON MTV VMAS – (08/21/2020)

DaBaby and Black Eyed Peas will take the stage to perform at the 2020 VMAs.

The Black Eyed Peas, whose new album is called Translation, will be performing the TV premiere of their new single “Vida Loca,” out today. The Peas have never performed on the VMAs: The closest they came was 15 years ago, when they did the pre-show in New York City. BEP are up for two MTV VMAs this year: Best collaboration for “RITMO (Bad Boys for Life),” featuring J Balvin, and Best Latin for “Mamacita,” featuring Ozuna and J. Rey Soul.

DaBaby has four nods, including Artist of the Year.

Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Doja Cat, The Weeknd, BTS, Roddy Rich, J Balvin and more are also performing.

Keke Palmer is hosting the show, which will take place from various outside locations around New York City.

TAYLOR SWIFT DONATES MORE THAN $30K TO HELP STUDENT IN LONDON PAY UNIVERSITY TUITION; SUPPORTS INDIE RECORD STORES – (08/21/2020)

Taylor Swift has stepped in to help a young person in need.

A GoFundMe page set up by an 18-year-old student living in London caught Taylor’s eye. The student, Vitoria Mario, had been offered a place at the University of Warwick in England to study math, but was deemed ineligible for loans or grants to pay her tuition. After contacting numerous people for help, and either being rejected or ignored, she started putting letters with her story into mailboxes in London’s rich neighborhoods. When that didn’t work, she set up the page to raise the money she needed for four years’ worth of tuition, housing and books, which amounted to just over $52,500.

Vitoria, who describes herself as “a young Black 18-year-old with a dream,” was halfway to her goal when Taylor stepped in and gave her the rest of the money she needed: just under $30,700. “Vitoria, I came across your story online and am so inspired by your drive and dedication to turning your dreams into reality,” Taylor wrote on the GoFundMe. I want to gift you the rest of your goal amount. Good luck with everything you do! Love, Taylor.” A few days ago, Vitoria posted that her place at the University of Warwick had been confirmed.

Meanwhile, Taylor has sent out signed CDs to various independent shops around the country, which they separately started to announce on Thursday. “Thank you @taylorswift13! ☺️ Taylor just sent us some signed copies of her newest CD, ‘Folklore!’ First come, first serve!” wrote Vintage Vinyl. “Look at what came in 👀 30 CDs signed by Taylor Swift,” Rough Trade NYC wrote.

Taylor also recently released her bonus song “the lakes” from her album folklore, which is assumed to be about her relationship with Joe Alwyn.

KRISTEN DUNST IS PUZZLED BY HER INCLUSION IN KANYE WEST PRESIDENTIAL PROMO – (08/21/2020)

Kirsten Dunst doesn’t understand why she was included in Kanye West’s campaign materials. Earlier this week, the 43-year-old shared a poster of his “Kanye 2020 Vision,” and it included several smiling people, including the 38-year-old and Vogue editor-in-chef Anna Wintour. 

Dunst inquired on Twitter: “What’s the message here, and why am I apart [sic] of it?”

While West has missed the deadline to be on the ballot in several states, he appears to be very serious about running. He announced his bid for president on July 4th.

ELLEN DEGENERES SWEETENS DEALS FOR EMPLOYEES – (08/21/2020)

Ellen DeGeneres seems to be trying to make things right with her team on her eponymous show. On Monday, staffers learned that three senior producers—Ed Glavin, Jonathan Norman and Kevin Leman—were fired after an internal investigation into the “toxic workplace environment” described in multiple viral articles published in BuzzFeed and Variety. 

DeGeneres apologized, corrected what she said were bizarre and erroneous rumors that she didn’t want staffers to make eye contact with her, and now, reports are emerging that she’s making many of their packages better too. 

The new benefits package includes paid time for medical appointments and family members and birthdays off. Morale has improved after DeGeneres reached out to staffers in a virtual call this week, and staffers are excited about the new perks, Variety reports. 

The call also implored staffers to not be “afraid,” and to feel like they could speak their minds without reprisal. 

The investigation is reportedly ongoing. Ellen returns to the air September 14th.

HARRY STYLES IS NOT STARRING IN NEW MOVIE WITH BRAD PITT: There’s a rumor floating around the Internet that Brad Pitt and Harry Styles will be co-starring in a new movie together, however, it’s apparently not true. A description of the film, apparently titled, Faster, Cheaper, Better, that has been floating around includes, “The film spans 20 years in multiple locations with intertwined stories of countless characters including: a union boss, a young businessman, an inland farm manager, and a tech millionaire whose lives are cut short when the automation and artificial intelligence transform the world as we know it. In the end, everyone must face the meaning of being human.” But  the stars’ reps said it is a completely “false” rumor.

‘AMERICAN IDOL’S LUKE BRYAN, KATY PERRY, LIONEL RICHIE TO RETURN IN SEASON 19: American Idol judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, along with host Ryan Seacrest will return in Season 19, ABC announced. American Idol has been filming remotely since April due to the pandemic. ABC said remote virtual auditions for Season 19 are underway across the U.S. Season 19 will be the fourth American Idol season to air on ABC. The reality talent competition moved to ABC in Season 16 after airing for 15 seasons on Fox.

OLIVIA WILDE TEASES NEW PROECT: Is Olivia Wilde set to direct a Marvel film? She appeared to tease involvement in a female focused superhero film, after reposting a Deadline tweet mentioning she had closed a deal to direct and develop one. It is said to focus on Spider-Woman. (ET)

UNHINGED AND SPONGEBOB REVIVE NORTH AMERICAN BO: After a five-month COVID-19 break, the North American box office reopened over the weekend in Canada. Paramount’s The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run and the Russell Crowe road-rage thriller Unhinged, from Solstice Studios were the first releases to open wide. Several chains in the U.S. have delayed reopening several times, with the latest hopes centering on August 21st when Unhinged expects to open theaters. Christopher Nolan’s tentpole Tenet will be next on September 3rd. 

SCOTT DISICK VACATIONING WITH KOURTNEY KARDASHIAN POST-SOFIA RICHIE SPLIT – (08/20/2020)

It’s Groundhog Day, Kardashians-style. Rumors have emerged for approximately the 7 millionth time that Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian are dating again, following his breakup with on-again off-again Sofia Richie.

Richie and Disick reportedly split after two years in May, largely so that Disick could work on a few personal issues. As many will recall, photos of Disick in rehab emerged shortly before their breakup. He left rehab, which was not related to substance abuse, but was reportedly related to emotional issues he was having over his parents death, soon after the photo leak and filed a lawsuit. 

Fast forward two months, and the pair reconciled, only to split this month, E! reports. Kardashian, meanwhile, shares three children with Disick and has been besties with him throughout their own decade-long romance and well beyond. And yes, Richie was at times reportedly jealous of their connection, but the trio seemed to manage to get past it, even going on vacations together with the kids. 

But it came to be too much, an insider tells E!: “Things haven’t been great between them. Scott’s been spending every day with Kourtney and the kids and has been vacationing with her. Things are always tense between Scott and Sofia when he goes away without her.”

When the 41-year-old posted a photo of herself in a one-piece at a lake, many brows were raised when Disick commented, “What a lake-er.” The pair are reportedly vacationing with friends and family at Idaho’s Lake Coeur d’ Alene. There is a non-essential travel ban in California, but the Kardashians appear to find their various jaunts essential.

ARIANA GRANDE & LADY GAGA TO PERFORM ‘RAIN ON ME’ FOR THE FIRST TIME AT MTV VMAS: The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards has revealed that Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga will unite for the first time live to perform “Rain On Me” at the awards ceremony on August 28th. The two superstars are also the most nominated acts of the evening.

EMMYS TO HONOR TYLER PERRY: The Television Academy will honor entertainment mogul Tyler Perry, and his charity, The Perry Foundation, with the 2020 Governors Award. The award honors an individual or organization whose work is so exceptional it goes beyond the scope of a typical Emmy Award. “I’m grateful for and humbled by this recognition from the Television Academy,” Perry said. “I’ve always prided myself on the work we do at the studio, our diverse representation of people from all walks of life, and the community we’ve built. My hope is that through moments like this we can remind others of the power of ownership and show that when the world doesn’t offer you a seat at the table, you can build your own.” Jimmy Kimmel is hosting the virtual ceremony live on Sunday, September 20th, on ABC. 

ELLEN DEGENERES CALLS NO EYE-CONTACT RULE ‘INSANE’ AS AN UGLY TWEET SURFACES – (08/19/2020)

Finally, something everyone can agree on. During an emotional Zoom call with her staffers Monday, Ellen DeGeneres addressed several issues related to the “toxic” work environment she reportedly oversaw on her eponymous show.

According to insiders, the host said she had no clue where the unspoken rule dictating that no staffer could look her in the eye came from. 

The 62-year-old said: “I don’t know where it started. Please talk to me. Look me in the eye.” Describing the rumored rule as “insane,” DeGeneres continued, “It’s crazy, just not true, I don’t know how it started. [It’s] not who I am.”

WarnerMedia is reportedly nearing the end of its investigation into The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Thus far, three top producers‚ executive producers Ed Glavin and Kevin Leman and co-executive producer Jonathan Norman, have been fired. They were accused of bullying behavior and sexual misconduct. 

Interestingly, DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who publicly supported DeGeneres during the investigation, has been named co-executive producer. 

Meanwhile, Page Six unearthed another ugly remnant of her past. She tweeted on June 5, 2009: “I made one of my employees cry like a baby on today’s show. Honestly, it felt good.”

KANYE WEST QUALIFIES TO APPEAR ON 2020 UTAH BALLOT – (08/19/2020)

The state elections office has confirmed that Kanye West has qualified to appear on the 2020 Utah ballot in November. According to The New York Post, state elections direction Justin Lee said that his office had verified that West had collected 1,000 signatures needed to appear on the ballot. 

Utah marks the fifth state in which West has qualified to be on the ballot. He has gained ballot access in Arkansas, Colorado, Oklahoma and Vermont.

West will appear as an unaffiliated candidate.

LADY GAGA’S BORN THIS WAY FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES THIS YEAR’S #BEKIND21 CAMPAIGN – (08/19/2020)

Lady Gaga is once again urging people to be kind, via her Born This Way Foundation.

The charity’s third annual #BeKind21 campaign encourages participants – including schools, colleges, corporate and non-profit partners – to integrate kindness into their daily lives from September 1st to September 21st. Last year’s campaign generated over 41 million acts of kindness.

If you sign up to participate, you’ll get calendars, tips and inspiration from the charity’s co-founders – including Gaga’s mom, Cynthia Germanotta – and you’ll also have the chance to be featured on ChannelKindness.org, the Foundation’s digital platform.

Among the organizations the Foundation is partnering with for the campaign are Black Girls Vote, Donors Choose, Global Citizen, MusiCares, Sandy Hook Promise, Save the Music, Sesame Workshop, Verizon Media, Girls Inc., and the Community Justice Action Fund.

Meanwhile, following the recent mass shootings in Dayton, El Paso and Gilroy, Gaga announced that she will be partnering with DonorsChoose to fund classroom project needs in 162 schools in the affected cities.
