MADONNA SUED BY FAN FOR STARTING HER SHOWS TOO LATE – (11/11/2019)

A Florida man is suing Madonna and Live Nation for late concert start times.

Nate Hollander filed the lawsuit in Miami-Dade County Court. In the filing, Hollander said he originally bought three tickets to Madonna’s December 17th show at The Fillmore Miami Beach, spending nearly $1,025. The show, which was originally set for 8:30 p.m., has been moved back to 10:30 p.m. Hollander says in the suit he tried without success to obtain a refund from Live Nation when the start time changed.

“Ticketholders had to work and go to school the next day, which prevented them from attending a concert that would end at around 1:00 a.m.,” the suit claims. “Due to the change in the start times … all tickets purchased by Hollander and all class members suffered an extreme loss in value, making it impossible for Hollander and all class members to recover the amount paid for said tickets by reselling them.”

Hollander sued for breach of contract stating Madonna has a history of tardiness and the concert team should have known the show would not go on at the scheduled start time.

Speaking of which – Madonna’s 10:30 p.m. show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Thursday did not begin until 12:30 a.m., leading the audience to boo upon her arrival.

Fans also took to social media and accused her of not performing her hits, talking too much and belittling her audience by even calling them “poor” at one point during the show. It was so bad that Wonderwall.com reports a source told them more than 500 refunds were issued to fans who left before or walked out during the show.

Madonna took to Twitter over the weekend to share her reply to the crowd’s frustration, telling them, “Here’s something that you all need to understand. And that is, that a queen is never late.” Madonna posted the video on Saturday with the caption “F.A.C.T.S.”

JERRY SEINFELD PRESENTS EDDIE MURPHY WITH WSJ INNOVATOR AWARD – (11/08/2019)

Jerry Seinfeld and Eddie Murphy go way back. The two comedians have similar life milestones, as Seinfeld mentioned when honoring Murphy at the WSJ Magazine 2019 Innovator Awards on Wednesday night, held at the MoMA. “Eddie and I started off in stand-up comedy the same week at the same club in 1976,” Seinfeld recalled before presenting him with the award. He also joked with Murphy, adding “Eddie Murphy is not an ‘innovator’—in the same way Moses was not an innovator of walking through the Red Sea. When Moses walked through the Red Sea, other people didn’t go, ‘Oh, I see how you do it.”

Murphy quipped back at Seinfeld, saying “You are a mensch, Jerry. Mensch is a good thing, right?” Murphy was just getting back from the set of Coming to America 2, and said he was running on three hours of sleep.

HELEN MIRREN FLATTERED TO BE COMPARED TO KEANU REEVES’ DATE – (11/08/2019)

In response to Keanu Reeves bringing a date, Alexandra Grant, to the recent LACMA Art + Film Gala, Twitter blew up with tweets mistaking Grant for veteran actress Helen Mirren. Both women were rocking silver hair and statuesque postures, as well as striking fashion. On the red carpet premiere for her new film The Good Liar, Mirren was asked if she heard about the mix-up. “I saw that, that was very flattering on me, you know, because she’s obviously lovely.”

Mirren also mentioned how she personally knows Reeves: her husband, director Taylor Hackford, worked with Reeves on the 1997 film The Devil’s Advocate. “I do know Keanu very well. He did a film with my husband and he is just the most adorable, lovely person,” Mirren said. “So she’s a luck girl and I’m sure that he’s a lucky boy.”

JOHN CENA GRANTED MORE THAN 600 MAKE A WISH REQUESTS, THE MOST OF ANY CELEBRITY IN HISTORY – (11/07/2019)

In addition to ‘wrestler’ and ‘actor’, we can add ‘philanthropist’ to John Cena’s resume. With over 600 wishes granted, Cena has granted more wishes than any celebrity in history.  In a recent interview with People magazine, Cena recalled the first day he met one wisher—a young fan of WWE. “I said ‘If you ever need me for this ever, I don’t care what I’m doing, I will drop what I’m doing and be involved because I think that’s the coolest thing.” Cena also gets the most requests at Make a Wish; other stars don’t usually pass 300.

But Make a Wish isn’t the only charity that Cena supports: he recently donated $500,000 to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the California Fire Foundation—both chosen by Paramount Pictures, the studio behind Cena’s upcoming film Playing with Fire.

MILEY CYRUS UNFOLLOWS LIAM HEMSWORTH AND KAITLYNN CARTER ON INSTAGRAM – (11/06/2019)

Miley Cyrus has unfollowed her exes Liam Hemsworth and Kaitlynn Carter on Instagram, fans have noticed.

While the exact timing of the social media moves is unclear, it seems as though the singer unfollowed the celebrities after the respective breakups. The last photo she liked from Hemsworth’s account was a picture he posted of the then-couple from June. And the last photo Cyrus liked from Carter’s account was a picture from their summer getaway.

Hemsworth also doesn’t follow Cyrus. Although, Carter still does.

Cyrus and Hemsworth announced their split in August after less than a year of marriage. The actor then filed for divorce later that month. It was around this time that Cyrus and Carter sparked romance rumors. The two were photographed kissing during a trip to Lake Como, Italy in August. However, Cyrus slammed any cheating rumors. Carter and Cyrus then called it quits in September.

Just a few weeks after news of Cyrus and Carter’s split broke, Miley was spotted kissing Cody Simpson. The two have continued to pack on the PDA ever since.

IMAGINE DRAGONS GETS FORMER TRUMP ADVISOR THROWN OFF YOUTUBE – (11/06/2019)

Imagine Dragons has gotten Sebastian Gorka, a former advisor to Donald Trump with alleged ties to Nazis, banned from YouTube because he won’t stop playing the band’s music.

Gorka started playing the band’s music, especially its monster hit “Radioactive,” on his radio program. Many of the episodes were later uploaded to YouTube, and the unauthorized usage finally brought Gorka to the attention of Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds.

Reynolds apparently learned of Gorka’s copyright abuses during an August Twitter exchange in which a journalist pointed it out. Reynolds tweeted, “Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I’ve never given permission for this use. Please stop playing imagine dragons on your show @SebGorka.”

According to Reynolds’ Twitter account, Imagine Dragons have been trying to stop Gorka for more than two months, with no success. But towards the end of October, Reynolds’ label successfully had more than 40 of Gorka’s videos blocked, although Gorka continued to upload videos using the band’s music.

Finally, this past Monday (November 4th), Gorka’s YouTube channel was completely, permanently deleted. A statement from YouTube confirmed it “was terminated due to multiple copyright strikes.”

SHARON OSBOURNE SLAMS JOHN LEGEND FOR CHANGING LYRICS TO ‘BABY, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE’: John Legend has changed the lyrics to the Christmas classic “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” for an updated version he recorded with Kelly Clarkson and Sharon Osbourne is not a fan, slamming John’s decision to update the words as “ridiculous.” The lyrics to “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” are considered to be controversial as they seem to reference date rape. The lyrics include the lines, “I ought to say no, no, no, sir / “Mind if I move in closer?” and “Say, what’s in this drink? / No cabs to be had out there.” Sharon spoke about the updated version on “The Talk.” “To change an innocent lyric, to what is it, ‘Your mind and your body?’ What the hell are you on? That’s ridiculous,” she said. “I have to tell you, I love John Legend. I love John Legend’s wife, his family. He’s an amazing artist that I really respect. Why do you do this? That’s not right.”

Emma Watson Rejects the Word “Single”; Opts for “Self-Partnered” – (11/06/2019)

Emma Watson may be flying solo for now, but she has a strong partner in her life: herself. The starlet, who is about to turn 30, is rejecting the societal pressures put on women in her age group—particularly expectations in the relationship arena. In an interview with British Vogue, Watson touched on her current status, saying “It took me a long time, but I’m very happy (being single).”

Watson, who plays Meg March in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming film Little Women, decided to adopt the term “self-partnered” after navigating the social pressures of becoming a 30-something woman. “I was like, ‘why does everyone make such a big fuss about turning 30? This is not a big deal…’” the actress said. “Cut to 29, and I’m like ‘Oh my god, I feel so stressed and anxious.”

Despite the struggles she’s experienced in her love life, Watson says her past relationships have “built her up”, while adding that her focus has been on “…figuring out how to be at home with myself.”

LORDE’S NEW ALBUM DELAYED FOLLOWING THE DEATH OF HER DOG – (11/05/2019)

Lorde’s new album may arrive later than expected due to her beloved dog passing away.

In a message to her fans, Lorde wrote, “Pearl came into my life in 2018, and almost immediately changed everything for me.  As anyone who has had the pleasure of raising a dog can understand, my life grew exponentially. Pearl brought an immeasurable amount of joy and purpose into my world.”

She explained that her pup battled health issues for an extended period. “It was a long process of figuring out what this illness was, and after he dropped some weight over a few weeks in October, a kind specialist finally honed in on the problem,” she wrote.

The singer didn’t disclose Pearl’s exact illness, but she said she thought he was getting better – until things took a turn for the worse.

“One day we woke up and I knew, in that way mothers do, that he was sicker than we had realized, and that we were nearing a point where his body wasn’t going to be able to cope,” she wrote.

Pearl suffered two cardiac arrests an hour apart and died in the singer’s arms.

“This loss has been indescribably painful, and a light that was turned on for me has gone out,” Lord wrote.

Because of this tragedy, the singer said she needs “some time and recalibration” and asked her fans to have patience. “I have lost my boy, and I need some time to see the good again, to finish making this for you,” she wrote, referring to her follow up to 2017’s Melodrama.

“It won’t be the same work,” said Lorde, “and anyone who has felt loss can understand, there’s a door that opens that you step through, and everything is different on the other side.”

PINK ON HER HISTORIC TOUR AND WHY SHE WON’T PLAY THE SUPER BOWL – (11/01/2019)

Pink’s recent Beautiful Trauma tour grossed just over $397 million, making it biggest tour for a woman in over a decade. In a new cover story with Billboard, Pink credits her long-lasting career to her elaborate and acrobatic stage shows.

“I don’t think I would still have a career if I wasn’t good at touring because I’ve never won at any other angle – I’ve never been the ‘it’ girl. I’ve never been selling perfumes or clothes or dolls,” she tells Billboard. “I have really made a career out of keeping my head down and beating the pavement.”

Pink is set to receive the Legend of Live and Tour of the Year honors at the 2019 Billboard Live Music Summit and Awards, held on November 5th and 6th in Beverly Hills. She’s the first female solo artist to win the Legend of Live award.

Pink also opened up about the difficulties of being a parent while on a world tour, as well as her plans for the future of her career.

According to the singer, traveling the world for work makes parenting more difficult. “There have been many times when I have been sitting in the corner of arena bathrooms crying and saying to myself, ‘There’s a reason why women don’t do this, there’s a reason why moms don’t do this,’ because it’s f*cking impossible at times,” she said. Pink continued to describe the toll touring has taken on her 8-year-old daughter Willow.

“The last couple of months, Willow was over it. She wants to be home and do BMX and swim team and gymnastics and all the sh*t that an 8-year-old wants to do,” the singer added. “So she was asking to go home, and that’s when I knew: From here on out, it changes.”

Pink said she considering a Las Vegas residency, where she can perform without the hassle of touring. “Think about the show I could do in Vegas,” the singer told the outlet.

One thing you probably won’t see Pink doing is the Super Bowl halftime show. After singing the national anthem at the 2018 game, Pink is fine to leave it at that. “Everybody that does it gets so persecuted,” she says of the halftime performers. Plus, she doesn’t support the NFL’s treatment of former quarterback Colin Kaepernick following his protests of racial inequality in America.

“I’d probably take a knee and get carried out,” Pink says.

The singer – who spoke with Billboard a few days before it was announced that Jennifer Lopez and Shakira had been tapped to perform – suggested that the NFL “should only give it, because of the controversy, to African-American or Latina women for a while.”

KATE MIDDLETON IS OVER THE ROYAL FEUD & HATES TO SEE MEGHAN AND HARRY ‘MISERABLE’ – (11/01/2019)

Prince Harry and Prince William’s relationship has reportedly been strained for quite some time, and it seems Kate Middleton is over it.

“[She] hopes William and Harry will eventually heal the rift and let bygones be bygones,” the source said.

According to Us Weekly, Kate is also concerned about how Harry and Meghan Markle seem to be suffering under the strain of media and public criticism.

Kate “hates to see” Meghan and Harry “so miserable,” a source told the outlet. But “while Kate’s concerned about Harry and Meghan’s well-being, she tries to stay out of the drama,” the source added.

Her approach is based on her essentially practical nature, the insider opines. “The way she sees it, life’s too short to make enemies – especially with loved ones,” the insider adds. “She’s very levelheaded like that. Kate’s a family girl.”

Harry and Meghan have filed suit against tabloids and have spoken openly in ITV’s Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, about the pressure they feel.

Harry also addressed issues with William, saying: “Part of this role and part of this job, this family, being under the pressure that it’s under, inevitably stuff happens,” he said. “But look, we’re brothers, we’ll always be brothers. We’re certainly on different paths at the moment but I’ll always be there for him and as I know he’ll always be there for me.”

KESHA TO RELEASE ‘RAINBOW’ INSPIRED MAKEUP LINE – (11/01/2019)

Kesha has a “rainbow” inspired makeup line coming out. The singer revealed her new collection will be called Kesha Rose Beauty and will feature her “favorite bright, insane rainbow- and earth- and nature-inspired colors.”

She said: “I actually have a makeup line coming out called Kesha Rose, and it’s all my favorite bright, insane rainbow- and earth- and nature-inspired colors. I don’t even really like using the word ‘beauty’ because it’s more about expressing yourself. It’s about redefining what beauty means to you. Beautiful is happiness and happiness is beautiful, so that’s what I am trying to encourage with the makeup line and with the record.”

The 32-year-old singer bases her makeup looks on her “floating aura,” which she says changes from day to day.

She added: “Quite frankly, I feel like I am just a floating aura and my aura changes colours from day-to-day, and I want to be able to express that with my [makeup]. It’s not about feeling perfect or trying to look perfect or perfectly symmetrical or anything like that, it’s about being happy and having fun. So, I want people to play with it and have fun with it and hopefully feel like they’re expressing their auras and souls through makeup and not so concerned with looking like some perfectly symmetrical, filtered Instagram thing.”

HARRY STYLES HINTS HE’LL BE TOURING NEXT YEAR – (11/01/2019)

Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan have both announced solo tours for next year, and their former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles may be hitting the road as well.

Harry spilled the beans on a potential 2020 tour during a video chat with the U.K.’s Capital FM. When asked why he couldn’t play Prince Eric in the Disney live action remake of The Little Mermaid, Harry responded, “They shoot for so long, and I want to tour next year.” He quickly added, “Maybe, don’t know, potentially…haven’t announced that yet.”

The musician also spoke about his new single “Lights Up” and his double duties on Saturday Night Live.

Harry released his latest single, “Lights Up,” earlier this month, but a release date for his sophomore solo album has yet to be announced.

While talking about “Lights Up,” Harry said: “For me, the song is about free some and self-reflection and self-discovery. A couple things that I’d kind of thought about and wrestled with over the last couple of years and I think this song is about me accepting those things.”

As for the sexy video, Harry oiled up in a sea of naked people, he admits that it was not oil on his body, but “aloe vera actually, it was a lot more healing than that.”

Harry is preparing to host Saturday Night Live and confessed to feeling anxious about the challenge. He shared: “I’m not going to lie, I’m a little nervous.

“I’ve been there before to perform. So I know kind of like how insane it is backstage and how, like hectic everything is – even when you’re just playing two songs on it. So the idea of doing everything is definitely a little nerve wracking, but I’m excited for it. I think it’s going to be really fun.”

Harry will be on SNL on November 16th, where he’ll perform a variety of his music in addition to hosting.
